Thank you for disabling skill-based matchmaking.
When my friends and I returned to Destiny 2 during the pandemic, we'd often find ourselves in the Crucible for hours at a time. We'd win some, we'd lose some, have some laughs and walk out with a reasonable k/d ratio... it was a COMPLETE DISASTER. It truly baffles my mind that mid to low skill players were ever allowed to enjoy PvP amongst themselves.
With the disabling of skill-based matchmaking, all of that has been fixed. I can't step around a corner without getting headshot by a Revoker, we're getting ping-ponged around the map by opposing supers, etc. We've already reached the point where we only go in the Crucible to get our Pinnacle reward, unless one of us is fortunate enough to have a Catalyst or some other quest that requires Crucible kills. (And what an absolute joy those objectives have become!!) This is clearly the way it should be. Awesome job, folks.

3 commentairesI love crucible now, Im finally able to use whatever load out I want and have fun using it. Who knew bows were fun to use? Pulse rifles feel great! On pc, you either use a hand cannon or get wrecked. For once im able to use anything I want and not worry about getting wrecked by those annoying handcannons.

I've stopped playing PvP in Destiny 2 as a whole because of this. I literally cannot play the game anymore without getting totally destroyed by people way better than me. Everyone cried about "aww 5 minute queue times" but like, there were never ANY complaints about queue times since Shadowkeep until AFTER the MM change. Even then, 5 minutes is an issue? Overwatch: typically 8-10 minute queue times. Siege, typically 6+. But no how dare we have the sweaty players face each other. Constantly facing Revoker insta kill users. Not missing any shots literally. Shots they do miss, well the game just decides to ignore that cause, ya know, revoker. I got into Smite though. So that'll be at least a better pvp than this shitshow. We don't even have a non-sweaty sbmm playlist. Classic Mix is still CBMM which is -blam!-ing stupid.

9 commentairesCan’t upvote this enough. It’s a complete shit show right now. Now it’s like a different PvP entirely. It was never that balanced or consistent to begin with, but without SBMM it is unbearably inconsistent and unbalanced. Also, all of the sudden this season I’m encountering so many sliding shotguns. SO many. Wasn’t an issue until this change.

3 commentairesGone from around 1.4KD last 15 kills to 0.64 Ground my way from a shitting 0.85kd in my early days to 1.06 and nowit's just dropping . Made half the game utterly unejoyable. Might as well enable levels as well and have done with it

1 commentaireOn the flipside, if one of your friends was better than you at PvP, playing with them was... well, not enjoyable. With CBMM, if you're getting dunked on game after game by everyone in the lobby, thats a you problem. We all have our off-games, but crucible definitely isnt infested with PvP gods, else my bang-average self wouldnt be able to hang. I've done ok this season. I did ok when SBMM was on too, but the difference there is that it put me off playing with some of my friends. Is that right? We should be discouraged from playing with one another? I dunno about that one...

Well I'm happy for all you out there but most of all I'm happy I got my unbroken title when PvP was for hard core players as it's a sense of achievement not as easy as it is now where any old Joe can get it .
