I'll be honest, the TWAB 5/7/2020 was great. Gave a hope of light to everyone.
And now with the latest TWAB you just ruined the Game. I believe a lot of people that were on the fence will leave now for certain.
There is no reason to play the game anymore, do you realize that? There is no reason to masterwork every piece of gear anymore, there is no reason to grind like a madman for months for armor with perfect stats . . or grind for god rolls. Because all those things are going to be irrelevant because of power cap limitations!
Not only that there is no reason, but more importantly there is also no time anymore! By the time you get all your desired God Rolls through months of grinding, the gear will be limited by Power Cap and will be irrelevant for End Game activities . . .
So instead of being rewarded for our time invested, efforts and hard grind, we get to dismantle everything we earned to make new room for the next higher power level capped weapons.
Why would I invest hundreds of Enhancement Cores, Prisms and Shards to Masterwork my gear when I won't be able to use it for End Game activities in the near future. So there is really no point to Masterwork your favorite Weapon combo too. You'll just get rid of it anyways after some time.
You are talking about power creep, which basically does not exist.
You know what exists? New player power level caps each season, which makes no sense at all. Grinding each season for another 50 power levels and then 10 another pinnacle levels is useless, tedious and adds nothing new to the game.
D1 had a definitive power level cap, why do you keep pushing the power level each season with D2.. it contributes nothing to the game. That Dreg that was 750plvl is now 1000pvl, will be 1060plvl and so on. It is ridiculous. It is all the same, just the numbers change.
Please Bungie, delete the latest TWAB. We need to find a better way to bring variety into the game. Do Polls, ask the community, take the best suggestions, do more polls etc. until we are all at the same level here (no pun intended).
Peace out!
EDIT: How about weapon perks? Let's retire weapon perks that are OP and make room for new ones. Because grinding for the same re-skinned or partially re-modeled weapons over and over again makes no sense too.
EDIT2: It is just ridiculous and even criminal to still offer Ornaments for weapons on Eververse that are going to be sunset, at the time of posting this TWAB. It just blows my mind. The Greed is real.

Ive only had D2 for 7 or 8 weeks. Ive just got my power level high enough to play without frustration and starting to get decent armour and guns. Now its going to all be for nowt. some peoplea re saying its to keep the game interesting for players that have been playing ages. well theirs plenty of people that havent been playing ages and dont grind the crap out of it. So i agree the hours i have put it could well be pointless. The guns i got how i want them....pointless. yet....the scenery is always the same the game types the same the patrols are the same....see what im also saying.

1 commentaireBUNGIE doesn’t respect my time I won’t respect there’s. I WILL leave D2 if they sunset my weapons I’ve spent time and money into. It’s an absolute travesty to think they want to make the game like D1 where EVERYBODY LOOKED THE SAME AND HAD THE SAME LOAD OUT! WHY would you limit the loot you can use in a looter shooter? Greed and a bunch of morons who are sad that “new weapons aren’t being used enough”? #DONTSUNSETME

3 commentairesBungie has stated in the past that they cannot keep up with the workload of having a vendor refresh every year as well as a bunch of new guns every year. It wasn’t that long ago that they said that kind of pace wasn’t realistic for them and they actually referenced that season of the drifter, black armory, and season of opulence was too stressful for them.... yet here people like you are saying you don’t even know how many guns they are going to release..... honestly it will probably be somewhere around five new guns a season and a whole bunch of old guns thrown in as well. This is what they have been doing since shadowkeep which by the way was the SMALLEST yearly dlc to date. They haven’t been releasing much content this year and their excuse was once again.... we cannot keep up with the model we had before shadowkeep and it was too stressful on our developers. This was their whole reason for shifting to the current model.... well that and money but as I was saying. I should take this time to mention that Forsaken, Season of the drifter, black armory, and season of opulence all put together added less content than The Taken King did back in destiny 1. In the taken King we experienced gear retirement but what came with it was an across the board refresh to every vendor in the game. This included crucible, vanguard, new monarchy, Dead orbit, Future War Cult, Iron Banner, Trials of Osiris, Prison of elders, Petra Venj..... those were just the vendors. We also got all new strike specific loot, all new exotic quests, all new world drops, and a bunch of new exotic weapons and armor. That is why the taken King was ok but this is not. Bungie will not be able to do that kind of update to weapons and armor every single year considering we have had the same set of iron banner weapons since forsaken, the same set of vanguard weapons since forsaken, the same set of crucible weapons since forsaken, and the same set of gambit weapons since forsaken. They did add a few more weapons for gambit prime and reckoning but that came in a different dlc and it was the only weapons they released for that dlc..... unless they take the taken king approach to this(which they won’t) this will only piss off and alienate their community after this falls flat on its face.....

Just in time for D3

3 commentairesSome people are for this, some people are against this, no one is right or wrong it's just opinions it's coming just as it did in TTK were every weapon got power capped. Way I look at it you either accept and give it a go because its happening or just find another game that isn't going to piss you off its that simple

Been here since d1 beta ...heard it all b4...Bungo did xyz now everyone’s gunna leave ....guess what .... Destiny evolves, most folks keep playing. Settle petal, stop being sooooo dramatic .... try suggesting some improvements.

13 commentairesModifié par Yosemite Sam : 5/16/2020 5:06:38 PMI'm tired of people using weak bait as a legit argument. The word "hater, fanboy, Bungie apologist, BDF=Bungie defense force, troll, Toxic, etc........ is the weakest bait anyone can ever use on this forum. It's so way overused that it makes anyone that uses it so outdated that you need to catch up with the rest of the world, as well as this company that has been left behind in today's gaming... With their oh so special early 2000's P2P if not earlier. An engine that has major coding issues that are flooding this game that they can't fix like Xbox players not being able to play the game, players being kicked to their home screen on their console since the day the first game released, the cheating that has flooded this game because of Trials, etc... Edit: Lying to their player base that I can make a huge list similar to this
However, in today’s Destiny 2, the balance of the game’s rewards is not where we want it to be. To be blunt, there isn’t enough pursuit out in the world.

Eververse was never intended to be used as a substitute for end-game content
I could go on, people don't hate the game, they hate the deliberate poor decisions that are actually hurting the game and it has been for years now. People like the OP are just expressing their opinion about it, it doesn't mean everyone shares the same opinion, and it doesn't mean people have to read any posts nor does it mean it gives anyone the right to insult anyone no matter what opinion they have. People, that use the stupid words like "You're a hater or Fanboy" as a legit argument"? it only shows how uneducated people actually are.

Here is a great post from user SteelPaladin1997 adressing the shit tier magic analogy: "Okay, since the Magic: the Gathering analogy that was used in the post keeps coming up, here is why they do what they do and why it doesn't apply to Destiny: * MtG is a purely physical card game (unlike some newer collectors games that involve a digital aspect, like X-Wing 2.0). This means a card cannot be patched. The only option to update it is to issue a new version and cycle the old one out (or add it to banned/restricted lists). This obviously does not apply to Destiny. * Rotating cards out does not actually create new interest/diversity; it just trims things from the design space to give room for the new set theme/mechanics/synergies. MtG needs to do that because cards from across its long lifespan can be put together in devastating ways if unrestricted; lots of Vintage builds can effectively end the game as soon as it begins. It is that synergy that is the problem and what would straitjacket the design team if they had to build around it as it continued to grow; individually overpowered cards are still dealt with by restriction/ban (what would be patching in a video game). * Mr. Smith claims the same reasoning for "needing" to limit the number of active weapons in Destiny, but the design space for the game is massively less complex than MtG. Taking out 24 cards for lands, an MtG deck has 36 "slots" (22 slots in a 40-card Limited deck w/18 lands). For weapons, a Guardian has 3, and each one is restricted to a class of weapon (so they have completely separate and non-overlapping pools to draw from). A Guardian can also only be actively using one of those guns at any moment (and abilities that let one gun affect others are limited), rather than having whatever number of cards are in your board plus whatever Instants/Sorceries you can play on a turn. Destiny should be nowhere near the place where they need the crutch of shelving old weapons or they won't be able to add new things that aren't pointless or game-breaking. * Bottom line, block rotations for Destiny is a cop-out 'solution' that lets them keep churning out stuff that you have to work for all over again while simultaneously shrugging off any responsibility to their previous design mistakes because "it will just cycle out," with the added bonus that they don't have to be as creative and thoughtful in making new gear because they can just offer you rehashes of 'obsolete' guns you already had." Edit: from Kaella: "Every single "pro" of sunsetting I've seen anyone post on this subreddit, without exception, relies on some stupid one-liner truism like "This gives them room to make new weapons!!!!" or "Other MMOs make your gear obsolete so it's fine for Destiny to do it too!!!" No further analysis of whether those arguments are really true, or to what extent, or whether the problems they solve are worse than the problems that they cause. Just a bunch of people who seem fundamentally incapable of thinking anything through, imagining a vaguely hopeful future for weapon sunsetting that they don't understand themselves. Conversely, every single post I've seen that does think these things through comes to the same conclusion: There is a hypothetical way for weapon sunsetting to improve the game, but only if Bungie is willing to put in the work to fundamentally overhaul the loot system to support it - and if that work isn't done before implementing sunsetting, it can't just be thrown in after the fact or put off to Year 5, because the damage done at that point will be irreversible. Bungie seems to be unwilling and/or incapable of making those kinds of foundational shifts, and so sunsetting moves from the "hypothetically, this could be good" column, to "absolutely the worst idea Bungie has come up with for Destiny since D2 Year 1". The idea that it's about "power creep" is especially galling when it's coming after basically three consecutive seasons of drastic power reduction in player gear. The game is closer to being on the verge of a power collapse, like D2Y1, than it is to being adversely affected by power creep. Power creep is a problem, but it is not a very bad problem to have, because it's creep - it's slow. You won't kill your game by power creep unless you let it run absolutely rampant for years on end, and never do anything to curb it. You can afford to leave power creep in your game for several seasons without really doing any long-lasting damage - and undoing that damage is easy, because you can do it gradually, letting off a little pressure at a time. Power collapse, on the other hand, is life-threatening. People get bored, people get frustrated, and people quit the game, fast. A lot of them will never come back, under any circumstances, and of the ones that do, you have to really hit a home run to convince them. Most games don't survive it. Fewer can survive it twice."

Not sure I understand Bungie at the moment one minute they say they want to reduce the grind then introduce a change to the games basic mechanics which guarantees endless grind. Like lots of long time players you finally get a weapon with a decent roll masterwork then use it. With the introduction of retirement then thats all a waste of time.

1 commentaireModifié par mxgreg : 5/16/2020 11:18:15 PMWhat's funny is this is the final straw for people? How have they not taken all the concepts from D1 and not made things worst? Let's name a few. LFG - adding an lfg with very limited text. Other sites had decent LFG's all Bungie did was make it harder to find a team for stuff when you want to learn a raid or need help with something. RAIDS - revive token timer - bad loot stream PVP - weapons/perks are all messed up. Networking seems slower and has more issues Most of the initial maps are small and feel unfinished. Level balanced between light level matters and it doesn't is all fffffed up. IB - ruined by quest and weekly bounties. Having to put on low light level equipment to get the bounty kills is stupid. The number of ability kills is stupid. If they want to TimeGate things, just TimeGate them. Strikes - feels like they force them to take a minimum amount of time of something like 15 minutes. There is so much time wasted between running from on selection to the next. No loot stream. They get boring fast. Factions - killed them Vendors - never refresh them Coins for everything. HC - I don't like hc's but what was the point of grinding out min/max rolls when they just nerfed the max range? Seems pretty pointless. Scorn - Possibly more annoying than the taken? Why do they have to bob their heads every time you shoot them. I think most of the people at the studio do an amazing job. I think it's management that needs to go. Someone needs to point the way. Have a direction and stick to it keeping in mind the past lessons learned.. They need to stop listening to streamers that don't want to play the game and are never going to be happy. The thing that scared me the most about sunsetting is that we won't be able to find stuff worth using. So much of the recent content has just been bad weapons that I would rather not use. Or if there is a weapon I like it doesn't roll with useful perks. Or Bungie hides anything decent behind a quest like the mountaintop. Maybe we'll just have to band together more often boycott stuff.

1 commentaireSimply put they could remove light and levels. Reduce the guardian to its actual gear ratings. Then dare I say, add in actual game content with random new gear added. This gear would also feature role rating along with gear perks. Though each perk on said gun would have a quality rating. So quite literally there would be an actual maximum power your guardian could ever achieve. Explained below. Imagine the 6 stats with a theoretical maximum of 50. We know that no piece of armor could ever role all 6 stats at maximum. The same would be true for the weapon perks. In this case the weapon perks would be graded 1-10. So an example is a stability perk at 5 and high caliber rounds at 6 with holo sight at 4. Max 15 points per weapon and minimum of 1 to a perk grade. Would essentially have a medium accuracy boost with light grit recoil while shooting. The bullets would hit pretty hard. I just fixed Destiny 2 issue of so called power creep. Borderline infinite possibility of builds. There would be no potential of power creep as to max one perk stat would potentially add a serious con such as major instability with max high caliber rounds. Furthermore any game activity is perpetually balanced always. Unless Luke Smith steps in to make it quite fun... Now let’s address the content. Enemies can be reasonably balanced. You can offer normal pve content where your lower gear is manageable or top tier build to feel god like. Then all story, strikes, raid, missions can scale up to nightfall mode with either random modifiers or you set them. Final difficulty is nightmare in which 3 random modifiers are active. Enemies are scaled up to be 200% tougher or debated for better balance. Either way players say one mode is simply unplayable it can be dialed back in enemy balance not gear. I know this is getting long. As long as the max gun perk grade total can’t exceed 15 and no perk higher than grade 10. We can take the 6 armor stats and assume 50 max possible per stat. The (50*6)/2= 150 max possible roles on armor with only 3 possibly being maxed out. Encouraging many build possibilities. Bungie literally could make this over haul and save the game. Crucible would allow in normal mode of course any build and supers. Iron banner would be no supers just team and gun skill. Competition tier would feature random modifiers each match with supers. Then Trials of Shax would feature preset modifiers with no supers. Doing this would essentially giver everyone a mode to enjoy. Also drifters gambit would feature normal no modifiers. Then a version called say drifters challenge in which pve and PvP modifiers randomly applied per match. Depending on feed back and how well this is responded to I’ll move it to an actual post.

Man, I support every thought you make. I feel exactly the same way, I feel just cheated. No one will give me back my time, money, and psychological and mental suffering as much as I devote trying to get what I want (loot) in this game. The whole point - there is no such thing at all, zero goal, to do something in this game, because the whole point was - to collect the best weapons and armor you can. What is the goal now? Bungie - I haven’t played Destiny this season, throughout the quarantine. I think it’s time to look for another game. End of story.

lol 😂Bungie has always Dicktated how you play their game . Why is this any different ? They took everything you earned in D1 and flushed it ! to force you to buy new Shit to earn and then flush once more . Spent more hours working on Eververse junk than actual in game loot . Now they take you hard work once again and tell you that you mean nothing and Bungies word is law . The only Destiny of this game is to be lied too , stepped on and treated as if you were nothing but a $ . Are you glad now you spent countless hours earning loot you can’t keep , defending Bungie as they steal what you thought was yours . The only thing at the Mountain Top is yet another taller mountain to climb with a price to pay for the privilege to climb it .
