"Speak with X at the Tower"
Bounties are not the huge inconvenience- it's having to stop playing to load into whatever location to pick up your bounties. Want to go to the Harbour of Sorrows? Nope. See Eris first. Want to play crucible? Strikes? Nah, you wanna go to the tower! Oh, and don't forget checking in at the visage of Calus every day too. Completed some of those randomized bounties? Go back to the tower to get more!
Load times, especially on console, are inexcusably long to have gameplay be interrupted every 16 minutes to play "optimally." Something needs to be done about this.
Edit: I've seen some people say that they like the current bounty system because it allows them to interact with the characters. You could still do that if something in an in inventory bounty system were implemented, the tech is there with Eververse already.
I'd like to give an analogy here. Think of a boss fight, the one that comes most prominently to mind in this example would be the final Mettaton fight from Undertale. The first time you fight her, it's got this massive, multiple minute long buildup, it's a pretty good intro. But it's not the actual gameplay. So if you die and fight her again, the game gives you an option to skip the intro and get straight to it. Bounties are repeating the same intro every single time you do a bossfight- going to pick them up is fine the first few times, but it gets old.

I think we ought to be able to load in and just play and have the bounties auto listed and completed as we play, instead of having to travel hither and yon to pick up and turn in. Story lines, campaigns, exotic quests, etc. are fine for interactions and steps toward completion, but the current bounty system is a bit onerous. The biggest issue with gameplay and boredom is the dearth of variety of experience. Tedium creeps in from doing the same sorts of things over and again. The only thing that changes is who we pick up from and turn in to and some of the places. Everything else is the same sort of game play....for years. Yes, horde mode has been added. Menagerie and mini-raids, dungeons, but once Bungie adds something, they beat it to death until people are so sick of playing the mode, they just drop off. I get it. Content truly is hard. I say that without irony. It's hard to be creative for a ten+ year stretch. But that's what it takes to stay above the rest. I don't pretend to know what goes on at Bungie. It would seem, though, that something needs to be shaken, not stirred, over there.

2 commentairesThe challenge system at the start of D2 was far better but people had to open their mouths and start whining about it on the forums because they had D1 nostalgia. The bounty system is just -blam!-ing tedious.
-
But if you don't go to the tower every 5 minutes then your post master will be full of blue engrams!

People love statues in this game. Bounties were an actively regressive update in D2. Challenges could have just been changed to have better rewards, and completed in multiple activities. Hell they have a triumph screen where you check crap off, and that same thing could have just been done but where it resets daily or whatever. Bounties are stupid, always have been, and is the purest example of the community not knowing a damn thing about what makes the game good.
-
I agree with you a bit. Main point of my comment is Mettaton is a guy my dude.
-
At the start of D2 each planet had challenges that seemed like less rewarding bounties so players wanted the old bounty system. Now we have more access to a larger pool of “challenges” with the current bounty system. I think they should bring back the challenges, slightly revamped, and have both bounties and challenges. Although a lot of the complaints would be less I’d load times were not so long. I can go cook a 4 course meal before I land in the tower.

2 commentaires63 slots for quests and bounties and you have to stop after every round to go to the social space?
-
Imagine a world where the game will complete a bounty from anywhere if the respective objectives have been achieved and instead of you going and picking it up beforehand it will just show up in your bounties slot as completed and ready to turn in. No carrying bounties unless you want to for tracking purposes. Either way loading into the tower and collecting all the bounties for all the activities I know I will partake in that day works for me. I know what you are saying but it’s a part of the process and as we get further and further into the quality of life changes we become lazier and expect more for less. Same applies in life. Why should I have to get my ass off the sofa to turn my lights or heating on when I can use an app on my phone. Come now, there’s far more underlying issues then having to fly into the tower to restock bounties.

1 commentaireThe only benefit of having to go bk to tower regular is to have the screen breaks that people should take for their health

All bounties should AUTOMATICALLY make it to our collections page or whatever it is called. We shouldn't have to go to every planet every time.

7 commentairesModifié par damnter : 1/7/2020 6:43:27 AMAnother point is.... do we really enjoy doing bounties? Are they fun!? Ore are they just a chore you're being forced to do to rank up? To me it's the last. They're chores that are not enjoyable at all. Where's the fun in bounties anyway!? Why make us do chores in stead of letting players just have fun with the game and content!? Letting us play how we wanna play, do wat we wanna do? If you really think about it, the same goes for the artifact. When you wanna play high en activities they are just forcing you in certain loud outs and subclasses. Is that really fun? If you can't do the ordeal in a loudout that makes you feel like you wanne feel? Is this new way of playing really fun ore just restrictive and repetative? Ore are they just a manipulative way to try to hide the lack of real content making you repeat stuff you've done a thousand of times before. People seem to forget that a game should be FUN. Having to do chores sucks the fun out of the game. For me the same goes for being forced to play certain weapons and subclasses to play high end content.

Modifié par Ace_Eyed_Ace : 1/7/2020 5:33:51 PMDestiny companion app shows how it should be done. All Bungie has to do is follow suite and add another column to the in game menu; My companion > Vendors > bounties
-
Perhaps I am in the minority, but I like traveling from place to place to collect. It fulfills my space merchant/pirate fantasy better than a drop down menu would.
-
Eververse in Orbit: "Oh look dude, I can buy a ship, sparrow, and any cosmetic I want all from the comfort of Orbit!" Literally anything else in Orbit: "Contacting Zavala to pick up bounties."... "What do you mean he wants me to come to see him first it would be so much easier if-..." ... "Okay omw..."
-
9 commentairesWhy pick up bounties at all? Why not just have a spot in the menu called “Daily and weekly bounties” where all bounties are available and you just naturally complete them as you play, when one is done, access the menu and click on it to complete it. Easy.
-
2 commentairesJust give us all the bloody bounties when we log in. Like a checklist when we do it we hand it in at the person for the reward. This still allows interaction with vendors whilst giving us all bounties at once. Log in play what you want, check at the end of session what's been done and hand them in for rewards.

Modifié par Marasfurrywaffle : 1/7/2020 3:52:26 PMBounties are definitely not the issue no matter how they are implemented. I've just spent £49.99 again on d1 installed it loaded up fresh charecters etc and everything feels better. Exclude all the usual stuff pvp, bounties menu interface changes etc etc and it's a better game imo from the first cut scene to ghost reviving me, I feel a sense of in game purpose, I feel the darkness breathing down my neck. I feel my progression is meaningful that my quests are important, the destinations are rich, strikes tied into the story. Its imersive and foreboding in the context of the game. Destiny 2 is a mess and since launch I never felt connected to it. Also im not burnt out if I was how could I go replay the whole d1 again. I did enjoy forsaken 😊

Not everyone uses the store. I would have to say everyone uses their vault and bounties. And for the love of all that is good get rid of the blues after 960.

Ghost can speak to npcs without being in close proximity... Why can we not get bounties via ghost menu? Eververse is available no matter where you are in game. Yes? Bounties should be "downloadable/transferable" to ghost no matter where you are in game.

2 commentairesHow could people actually not want an easier access to bounties.....
-
Removing the timer might help. You wouldn't have to go to the tower and visit ALL the vendors every time you log on. Saving that 20 minute bounty collection before you've started playing any activity

4 commentairesHere's a better Idea *cough* *bungie* *cough* How about a tab that shows bounties from every vendor (planetary or tower) with daily and weekly on them that we the player can pick and purchase while in orbit. here is a scenerio: I load up the game, Im sitting in orbit. Go to destinations, click left four times, and BOOM there is a huge list of bounties from every planet and every vendor. I purchase the ones I want for the day.... Problem solved
