There seems to be an abundance of stories not finished that are just left hanging. If you can name more plz list down below and hopefully bungie can see what needs to be finished. Here's one that my friend mentioned:
"Uldren is alive but doing what? Hes mentioned in one of the new Dawning ships lore but that's it."
There's more stories left unfinished. The lore is great but during game it doesn't seem to make sense.
Something else needs to happen that isnt us basically doing the same thing with a new storyline.

1 commentaireThey wrapped up the Vex offensive and everybody loved that ending. Didn't they? LOL. Destiny has some of the best lore in any game but the worst storytelling. At least we have some more time travel shenanigans to deal with 😂

Modifié par The Rat King : 12/16/2019 5:22:25 PMFor the people saying this is dumb because stories take place over time, that is fair however its almost too many stories. It would be different if we had a clear enemy such as Savathun,a hidden Kell of Dusk(Variks) or Pyramid ship who acted as the "Thanos" of the game. Like randomly popping up and being a puppet master. Something for us to fear, Savathun I fear because she literally has impacted the game more than any villain/antagonist, aside from Ghaul and Oryx, and we havent even met her. Smaller side things or characters that could use some more are like Toland, SIVA(an "antagonist" from D1 for the new light ppl, I recommend looking it up it was pointless but a cool concept), Shiro-4, House of Dusk explained in game, why we arent trying to retake Earth such as return to Russia or find Old Chicago(great food), Verok(Mate of Alak-Hul a renegade hive lineage), the question "Are all of the Taken serving Savathun(?) or themselves or another leader" etc. The only enemy that gets this treatment tends to be the Vex(which is ironic from how few of updates and dlcs they have compared to the others) and even then not all is solved or do we even learn anything

Is Mara coming back soon? Is Shin gonna light up the Tower or what? How's Asher's arm? Are those black pyramids gonna do anything? Does sweet innocent Xūr even have a backstory?

5 commentairesSo many of these storylines feel like Bungie abandons for no logical reason. What happened to Siva? Uldren? Dreaming City? Etc... finish the stories before moving on to new ones. FFS, people will just get lost. The best story series was the one they connected between Dark Below and TTK.
-
1 commentaireThat is literally the Destiny universe. You are asking for every story line to be finished at every dlc. That is probably the shittiest story writing ever. Story lines happen over time. If you don't like that then maybe this isn't the game for you.
-
Let’s see here: Uldren, Mara, Dredgen Vale, The Stranger, The Nine, and as far as enemies I’m assuming the fight with Savathun, Xivu Arath, Quria, and the Veil will eventually be here. Am I missing anyone significant?
-
14 commentairesBruh, forget Uldren. Where the hell is that time-traveling robot that didn't have time to explain?
-
Kinda how the game works. A non linear story makes the game feel more alive. Just because one conflict isn’t over dosent mean another one can’t or won’t start
-
You are not telling the truth. They took down the Vex gate behind Ikora before anyone even finished building it because of the powerful narrative. Uldren did something something. Rasputin is still protecting us on his own terms or something. Stop telling lies. There are NO unfinished stories in this game.
-
I'd like to hear some more of Uldren soon, honestly even if it's just a cutscene where he returns to the tower and asks for help. Personally i'd give him Shiro as a mentor
-
Sorry sir, but I don’t need to know what a guy is doing every day in the destiny universe. I just care about the plot poins as a player. Uldren will appear when his time has come.
-
I've been saying this since vanilla D1. I get the whole hype factor and mystery nonsense. But honestly, I haven't given even the slightest of f(_)cks about the story since vanilla. They can only set the stage for so long before we do something that feels important. A new big baddy every few months just makes everything seem pointless.

Hanging storylines make forums and internet abuzz with speculation and discussions. This tactic is used by many games, movies, TV shows, etc.

Modifié par zxionisus : 12/13/2019 11:21:41 PMImagine if Bungie wrote The Empire Strikes Back. They would have started The Return of the Jedi without freeing Han Solo from the carbonite. According to Luke (Smith, not Skywalker) they wrapped that story arc up.
-
10 commentairesYeah. I’m curious as to why Uldren knows to hide his face. He shouldn’t.
-
Why they will write it on some ghost or gun or armour . It won’t be a story mission you know like Gaming is , it will be some lame text entry that you have to read because you know Destiny is a $500,000,000 book , not a game . Lore is kool but I want to live the stories like gaming is suppose to be like , not read it !

I know right.....I have a lot of old quests unfinished because it's like "oh they are about 40-50% done let's throw out another they won't finish". Its frustrating. I still haven't finished Caydes Ace of Spades quest, nor finished the leviathan raid. Do they think we are on there 24/7/366 or something? Some of us have only a few hours a day to play and catch up. I enjoy what I do get to play but feel left behind because I can't spend 24 hours a day grinding out quests, side quests, bounties, raids, or dungeons. During season of undying I was at rank 12 and seen a player at rank 229 during the second week of the season with all the dreambane armor. I barely made rank 100 by the end. Please Bungie slow the hell down so some of us can catch up.

One I haven’t seen mentioned is the whole Drifter alliance thing. We were told to make a choice, that both sides would remember the choice we made and that it would affect our relationships either with the Drifter or the Vanguard. We chose and that was it, so what’s good?
-
7 commentairesRasputin doing God knows what The Nine Mara sov and the exo stranger Uldren Drifters story Calus Shin malphur and the shadows The cabal are now time traveling Savathun is the new big bad The curse on the dreaming city The darkness has come back (pyramids) The vex just hanging out The new fallin devil queen just hanging out Varkis What else did i miss? Ill add it

Destiny is game about loose ends

😂😂😂 You ever get the feeling we are all on a plane going in the same direction for far too long and haven’t made any turns in a long time? Me-“why are we over the ocean, how come the captain hasn’t said anything, where’s the flight attendant with my cookies? Fist class (streamers) said everything was fine. But I can swear that door over there isn’t suppose to be open....”

No. I like the story layout. I don't want simple point A to point B stories. The story is constantly evolving and fluctuating and all the threads are still there and being built on. I'm glad you don't run the story because if you paid attention to all the lore that exists in D2 and the old D1 grimiore you'd see how awesome it is
-
20 commentairesThis is short sighted and ignorant of how the story is being told. When forsaken happened they made it clear that the events are happening in line with the timeframe of the seasons meaning it has been about two months since shadowkeep’s events. It’s been two years since CoO which is what the current season is a continuation. Last seasons vex offensive continued the original plot line of D1 and if you can’t see the craft in that then you don’t actually care for the lore or the story of the game. The entire series is built on the concept of a twisted and long fight for survival with the traveler and the darkness at the heart of it all and that takes time. Events don’t happen perfectly in order like a movie. If you want simplistic tied up stories go play a tell tale game.
