Izanagi's Quest Bug (It's not bugged) + Solution
Originally, this post outlined the new speculated bug that rare bounties cannot drop from Black Armory. As we know, this is 100% random, and there is no way to actually know if it works unless you first obtain one. The only information we had to go off of is that Black Armory bounties would not drop Glimmer, or XP. This left the unlucky players assuming Rare Bounties couldn't drop. This wasn't true.
Today, (11/12/2019) I got a rare bounty to drop. Still no Glimmer, or XP, but I doubt anyone is chasing that. If you didn't get a rare bounty it is because you got unlucky. I've edited this post for those losing hope in this quest. It is currently working, so continue turning in bounties and hope for the best.
SOLUTION: We should get an "Additional Bounties" slot for Ada-1. Unforgiving RNG should exist, but not time-gated. I thought the entire appeal of exotic quests were to ensure the reward after a long quest chain, instead of putting your faith in RNG. Having a step that revolves around time-gated RNG is the exact opposite of the appeal of these exotic quests. An "Additional bounties" slot would be a solid middle ground. It can be expensive if you're unlucky, but you could get 20, 30, 100 chances a day of you're dedicated. Not play 1 forge daily, cash in your 4 bounties, then wait 24 hours.
Notes: I still fully stand by my previous statements given that this gun's quest took 38 days to be fixed. That is downright ridiculous. However, I've edited this post to reflect the truth, and admit that my speculation was completely wrong.
Edit: I have Izanagi's Burden. It's functional.

1 commentaireHonestly I feel like bungees wasting my time I’ve done at least 20 to 30 bounties for the last five weeks since shadow keep came out and still waiting on rare bounty, I think it’s downright disrespectful to have someone waste their time knowing that you can fix this issue of RNG it’s not fun and it’s not fair it’s like gambling and I’m not about to keep on bashing my head against the wall hoping to get a bounty. I’ve been playing this game this franchise for years as it’s a miracle they haven’t left yet because it feels like this only happens to me but clearly it doesn’t and you would think they would fix this what’s more important I don’t understand and how long can it really take to fix something like this

4 commentairesI came across a post that it helps when you remove some modulus reports (don't have max reports), you can get experience, glimmers, and rare quest to drop. I hadn't had any rare quest to drop after ~25 bounties. Today I removed some reports before I cashed in the bounties, and I got the rare bounty right away. It might be just coincidence, but y'all should give it a try.

1 commentaireYesterday I got nothing. Not even reports. No proof from yesterday, but today I made sure to record it. This is on PC using default game capture settings through windows so I apologize for the bad quality. Yesterday I wasn't full on reports, but still didn't get them. Today, I got reports but no glimmer, no xp. So what's to say that the rare bounty cannot drop now? I've NEVER in all my time gaming went to the forums to complain and I've played WoW for 14 damn years... I have been patient this entire time, even upon getting my first rare bounty and it not working AND not complaining after finding out we wouldn't be receiving another one. My patience is gone. Nonexistent. What's even more frustrating is that they haven't replied to a single post yet on this matter.

Well, at least they're aware. I kind of gave up caring about getting the sniper at this point since there is still other builds I can run that don't rely on using the one-trick exotic. Mostly wanted to get the quest finished, but still so much other content to do until then.

I've been farming forges for the past 3 days, got everything but the Titan Mark and it wont give me it no matter what. I'm getting so, SO tired of doing this. It's absolutely ridiculous that this quest is so reliant on RNG being kind. I've been doing the same loop over and over and everytime I don't get that Titan Mark, I lose more and more hope of being able to get this stupid gun.

6 commentairesIt's my honest opinion that the general amount of us who are upset about this need to hit Bungo where it actually hurts, right in the wallet. Whether its going through whatever means needed to refund the game or just plain boycotting the game and not playing it til you get a response from them. Sitting here posting on forums and complaining to a company that doesn't care while still investing/wasting more time and energy into the game doesn't really effect them at all, theyve shown clear signs they have no problems ignoring us overall. Its time for us to show them we have no problem letting the game die if they have no plans on improving development. Put the ball in their court and force them to make a shot, let me be the first to tell you that if people on steam for example were to all of a sudden start refunding the expansions in mass, you would instantly have Bungie's attention and be seeing articles about how they're seeking redemption and "want to do better"

I sympathise with everyone, especially new or lapsed players encouraged to return by New Light. Every season is the same: new content breaks old. I'm so glad I finally finished the Jotuun quest and now never have the need to visit that bipolar robot in the basement again.

They just need to skip everyone to the shattered throne part of the quest or give us the gun.

I have done 66 bounties since the last patch and cant get a rare bounty. And yes, about half of all the bounties give nothing at all

Not only that, but depending on what step you’re on, if you’re at the step with the key mold where you have to complete the Bergius is forge at max temper, you can’t. Thanks to the “easier matchmaking”, you can’t even progress the quest because the vérifiais forge isn’t even available, so having the bug fixed does nothing when the quest is now timegated by the featured forge...

I got the rare bounty done, handed in the crystal, nothing registered on my box. So now I have to get and do another rare black armoury bounty. Sigh.

Wasted about 1.5 months of my life on this one weapon my god how incompetent can one company be. Sorry but this is insane. And my guess is they will hotfix it in another month and just have us against that rng wall again. 0/10 for this shitty exotic quest.

What kills me is they posted about the bug on Twitter..... As if that's somehow notification to all. And then this week they post a game wide message upon logging in mentioning that players shouldn't turn in their Iron Banner tokens due to a bug. Where was that at for Izanagis? I lost my crystal and it's pretty annoying that their 'patch' didn't auto progress the quest for those that had already used one.

Exactly the same with me, was waiting for the bugged to be "fixed", turned in my rare bounty that i had on hand, and then nothing. No progress or anything at all, now i cant seem to get any reward at all from the black armory bounties. Its just beyond sad at this point, and extra so because the izanagi is a must have.
