So, you're increasin auto rifles pve damage by 25% - 30%, but then at the same time you nerf Rampage for all weapons -which is 100% understandable- and on top of that you also nerf the pinnacle perk, Onslaught? Do you realize Onslaught is what made Breakneck be what it is?
1 Buff in exchange for 2 Nerfs? This feels a lot like 1 step forward, 2 steps back. A LOT.
What is the point of Breakneck if Onslaught buffs your RPM but nerfs bullet damage? Breakneck's allure was that you get to shoot faster with the same base damage, if you take this away then it's just a Hazard of the Cast with Rampage and Range masterwork, nothing more than that.
As for Redrix's, you buff High-Impact pulse rifles in general but then you nerf Desperado in PvE? What exactly is the point of this? Redrix's was never a "m.e.t.a" weapon for pve, it's a pvp weapon. If we wanted something like Desperado in pve we're much better served by Breakneck (we were, more accurately).
This change makes no sense, but also has no consequence either so, whatever. It's going to be a great weapon in pvp and that's all that matters.

19 commentairesThey’re likely doing it just to bridge the gap between Pinnacles and non-Pinnacle Weapons. To be honest, pinnacle weapons were a bit of a bad idea. Neat concept, but not really healthy for the game with how they were handled.

So for Redrix, people seem to be missing one important thing. Precision shots on reds/minors has been drastically reduced, so the perk will be more painful to proc. F

Hell any pulse with outlaw kill clip or rampage will out gun redrix and you dont have to worry about getting desperado to proc. Which I find the gun to be inconsistent, even with godroll! Idk...hopefully shadowkeep brings with it positive changes!

All of this is about the 'new activity', Bungie's groundbreaking idea is to have waves and waves of trash mobs; so, they nerfed super regen exotics and precision damage. Every season there will be a 'new activity' that follows the same idea, the writing is on the wall for those that can read it.

5 commentairesOnslaught imo was already kinda weak cause it already made you do less damage as it should have been anyways. Now they're not only nerfing rampage but onslaught as well, that gun is going to be ass now.

1 commentaireIt’s those darn kids that are one-phasing riven with breakneck and redrix...

You're slightly misunderstanding how Onslaught works. Your description of it is actually how Desperado works on Redrix's Broadsword/Claymore. Breakneck was a top tier PvE weapon because as you stacked Rampage, Onslaught would increase its rate of fire. Meaning that Breakneck would increase its rate of fire and its damage per bullet. The damage wouldn't simply stay the same, it would increase. Desperado is the perk that would increase Redrix's rate of fire without lowering its damage per shot, taking it from being a slow-firing heavy hitter to being a rapid-firing heavy hitter. Faster rate of fire without any loss to damage per bullet. I believe that Bungie is changing both Desperado and Onslaught to work in PvE as Onslaught currently works in PvP. Increases rate of fire at the cost of lowering damage per bullet. Honestly, Rampage should counteract the loss to damage caused by the new Onslaught to make it a wash, but Bungie probably made it to where Onslaught overrides Rampage, essentially making Rampage into a dead perk on the gun.

I feel like bungie had lost all meaning in the word "Pinnacle". If it's not the best then it's not a "Pinnacle" weapon, and why would I use it?

Would like to see Bungie respond to this with their thought process on double dipping a damage nerf with Breakneck. Rampage I get, but why lower the damage per bullet based on RPM makes no sense. Same with Redrix, it's bizzare. If it shoots faster, it HAS to deal less than normal damage? Why? If a 450 RPM has better ammo efficiency and total damage per reserves, then why would making it say, 720 RPM with Onslaught, make it deal less damage per round when compared to 450 RPM but share the same ammo reserves that it had as a 450 RPM? It makes having Rampage a redundant perk. Just replace Rampage with Moving Target or something and make Onslaught its own perk that doesn't rely on another perks uptime.

It's not a buff, it's a nerf. Okay it's a buff to body shots, I'll give you that. But it's a big nerf to precision shots.
-
Honestly the only pinnacle weapon that I felt needed a nerf was recluse and possibly break neck but since they nerfed rampage I figured it would've been enough to balance it. Everything else they are nerfing is to make pinnacle weapons closer to legendary weapons even though a ton of us spent tons of time grinding for these guns this is a big disrespect to those who grinded for these weapons
-
2 commentairesBut they dont nerf recluse's perk because bungie earns a secret commission off of comp carry and cheater sales. Why do you think they havent addressed this yet.

But everything's working as it should.😂
