A fellow guardian and I did sums of how many motes of light we needed to pledge to factions to get to level 25. From there we did all sorts of activities to get those motes making us engage with all the content.
Factions back then also served as end game once your burnt through all the main content.
Its stuff like that which can be the most fun sometimes.
The FWC hunter cloak was absolutely gorgeous and my favourite one.

I loved the dead orbit and the new monarchy cloaks myself it just felt hey I accomplished somthing and it felt good. Yeah you got lunas not forgotten recluse and mountaintop that can give that same feeling but let's be honest that stuff is stressful as shit. The class items let you just enjoy the game.
