We are not telling you to save cores to be trolls. We are talking to you about how to adapt to a system that is pretty simplistic. Try out other guns. If I kept infusing up my same armor and same three guns, I wouldn’t try out other armor and guns. I don’t like how some of it looks, but being forced to try other things help us explore the perks of the armor and guns, and tells bungie that they didn’t waste their time creating the variety. I found some solid builds and new weapons playing this way. Quit crutching the same stuff, be appreciative and check out what is available. You may just find a gem or two.

8 commentairesNo, just no. The infusion system is broken. I choose to play underleveled with my favorite gear until I get to the power level cap (with max gear equipped). That's when I will start infusing. Until then I will visit Spider daily for my couple cores as well as the ones from scrapper bounties and dismantling unwanted gear.

5 commentairesI haven’t seen anyone argue the simplicity of the system. Most negative feedback regarding the enhancement core issue is that it is NOT FUN. It in no way shape or form brings anything positive to the game. I try out new guns every time I acquire one. I have found many that I like that fit my style. I would like them to not be useless, so now I need even more cores. Using cores for masterworking is FINE; but using cores for infusion is ABSURD. It disrespects the player’s time.

43 commentairesI shouldn't have to be forced to use whatever drops. That's why the masterwork system is there so that you can make a weapon your favourite. This attitude is why bungie are stubborn. There was never anything like this in d1 and d1 did far better than d2 ever has. So it's thier fault for changing and we shouldn't have to adapt to a broken system.

1 commentaireor use your best 650 gear for the 95% of the time that your light level doesn't matter.

2 commentairesWe've had 6 months to try out the ~20ish guns available in year 2 at this point. To say nothing of how armour is barely an effect on gameplay, and easily judged without actually needing to try it out. That logic would work well if there was a continous release of new guns and.or perks and/or mods to test out. But thats not how they've rolled so far. With most new guns already dropping at the high level for you even. There's better approaches to that idea, even if it was supported, as well. Throw a triump in for 100 kills with every hand cannon, and Banshee rewards you with a pack of hand cannon based mods for your armour (and a universal ornament or whatever). Positive incentives, a goal to chase for, loot to acquire. As opposed to kneecapping peoples loadout for any new content.

While we're on the subject let's make it absolutely clear that the point is that the system is garbage regardless of player understanding. It's a wonder who is actually listening to the other. I mean it's "pretty simplistic", the game is counter intuitive in its design making it not fun to deal with. In other words it's not well designed and not fun. Do you get it yet? If bungie wants people to try things then maybe they should make the game more friendly in doing so. You know like not punishing people for changing things in the first place. That and allowing people to collect perks and mods as well. Oh you're afraid of losing the grind is it? Well lucky for bungie they have ass loads of gear they love to leave behind for no real reason they could use to supplement that. It's not as though there aren't better solutions to the problem. Building onto poor design is not a good idea, and people know that even if it is subconsciously. People are complaining for a very real reason, and nobody should stop because your or someone else's standards are low.

2 commentaires
being forced to try other things help us explore the perks of the armor and guns
Here's a novel idea: How about instead of 'forcing' players to try new things, they give us a reason to 'want' to explore new weapons and gear?
