tHiS wEaPoN wAs MeAnT fOr BoSs DpS oNlY. Shut up everyone of you who use this as an excuse. People can use weapons however they want, exotics are no exception. And don’t you dare bring up reserves perk. Why waste an armor slot on that when there are obviously better perks out there. 12 rounds all together is disgusting, and this weapons hits no harder in the body than any other 3 mag sniper, so no it’s not overpowered. It has such bad stability and flinch that it’s not even accurate enough to be deadly when under fire. Anyone who complained about this weapon must’ve just been beaten senseless by it in gambit alone. Strange how this nerf came up from a gamemode that prioritizes boss killing speed and LITERALLY NOTHING ELSE ironically......

When another legendary weapon competes AND out classes an exotic, that’s an issue. 3 mag snipers will now have more ammo AND better stability than Whisper from this now, that’s an issue

That's what they said they wanted to do was to bring more legendaries in line with exotics so people didn't feel they had to run the same thing all the time.

I want to shoot the wall 20 times cause bullets ricochet and aim it at enemies. Maybe I'll hipfire it too and complain when I can't do DPS.

Whisper doesn’t have ricochet rounds. Use hard light, that actually is a funny/smart way to kill others in crucible

"People can use weapons however they want." Are you some sort of moron? Weapons have roles. Weapons always have roles. And weapons that are too good spread their bulk into those roles, covering up other weapons and practically removing them from the game. Case in point, has anybody in the last year used D.A.R.C.I.? At all? Why would they? Whisper was objectively better in every way. Now they're closer in power level, and if you want a Heavy Sniper with a greater ammo capacity, you can choose to use our favorite artificially intelligent sniper rifle. You have a choice. There's an actual decision to be made, as opposed to Whisper just being the obvious best option. Smart nerfs/buffs increase player choice, and the Whisper nerf absolutely counts.

No one will use darci still, absolutely no one. You see the meta in crucible? Handcannon/shotgun/Wardcliff. That won’t change for another 3 months MAYBE, and that’s been the single loadout since forsaken. Sure, keep scaling down weapons though, only thins the weapon usage/variety further. My point is that by nerfing these exotics, you only hurt variety further, not make more variety more plentiful. This game should make others weapons stronger, not vise versa

You are correct. People CAN use weapons however they want. They also should understand that certain weapons have limitations and their weapon of choice might just not be the best one for the job. If I'm aware of one Sniper having higher reserves, but the same impact for body shots as Whisper AND I'm not going into an area where the Whisper would be more beneficial or I know I'm in a situation where crits are going to be difficult to hit... I'm NOT going in with Whisper. White Nail is there FOR A REASON. That reason isn't to be able to go into the middle of a hoard of enemies and gut shot each of them. I've never complained about getting popped by Whisper. I actually sent a pm to a guy I play with often about the ammo nerf feeling like a gut punch, but I also understand what the gun was intended for. It's about adaptation.

If it kills you, does that mean you’re a shank? In all seriousness I remember when nightfall’s in D1 were hellishly deadly and anything that was advantageous, even against op shanks, were useful. So yeah, shank burn was great on rocket launchers actually
