Dont cater to these casuals bungie
The annual pass is supposed to be ENDGAME CONTENT the forge is at the perfect set light. Catering to casuals would make the game too easy and thats how most of d2 lost its playerbase at launch pls keep it how it is!

P.S.: If all it means to be "Hardcore" in this game is to play slot machines with gear drops like, 10 times a week you might reconsider calling it "Hardcore". Something more like "Time-core" or "Luck-core" would be more appropriate. Nothing "hard" about doing milestones every week. That's the bare-minimum a game should ask you to do.

The assumption is that with the content rolling out weekly, is that the first forge would be attainable. I personally find that the forge is outside my ability to play. I am at 608 PL and with matchmaking over 3 days, not one completion. I’m gated out of this content because of RNG and PL climb. I can’t grind for the new gear. I won’t be able to experience the new forges. Not until I can raise my light closer to the recommended. So most “casual” players won’t experience any new content for about a month. So we are stuck grinding the same content we have been grinding for the last year. For me, I don’t feel that I should be required to play a game 5+ hours a day. But I guess I’m not hardcore enough for this game.

Grinding level by 50 x3 over the next year with Bungies stunted RNG leveling is not “endgame”, that’s just tedious and boring. End game content releases, expansions,should be engaging, rewarding and challenging. The leveling aspect should have been only in the beginning and mid game. If this was the case there would be no division between casuals and hardcore players. Having players get on here saying they are power 610 to 616 on day 2 only means you were lucky with RNG. It does not make you hardcore or casual.

Facts. 1) - people take this game way to seriously while losing their grip on reality. 2) - they lose their shit, over something that wont matter in 5 years. 3) - People play the game for different reasons, if you play it to relax, then don't complain about not being able to get content that is a higher power level. 4) - If you grind for that Powerlevel, and you cant beat the content, then adapt your Strategies, or get stronger. 5) - if you cant Beat the content Because the Boss has Glitch Spawn teleported and is the 7 times the size of a Streamers ego, then Send Bungie a box filled with Dogshit., and complain on here. 6) - I play the game, and I like it. I don't like some of the shit that is going on in it, but that's just me. I like killing shit with mates. I use 5 Years as a Example because its almost 5 Years since Destiny 1 already launched, and an infant takes 5 years to be evolve into a small child that can communicate and have the cognitive functionality, adapting, learning, evolving. Yet somehow.... Bungie Gave Destiny Benjamin Button Syndrome. - in 5 years time, it would be as relevant as that spunk bubble flying out of the ether Ritual.

Bungie F'ed up and are trying to fix the problem. Look at all the articles being written about the release being a disaster, that right there should tell you how dumb it was. Only you and other delusional elitist POS that think they're special but are not think otherwise.

3 commentairesThey won’t make a lot of money if they cater solely to the hardcore crowd and leave the casuals in the dust. At the end of the day, it’s still a video game that everyone should have the opportunity to pick up and play and enjoy equally. Producing content that cuts of the majority of your player base is just bad business.

It isn't catering to casuals to provide actual day 1 playable content for end-game users. They've structured their game based on basically an mmo/looter type game, but they still struggle to figure out how to actually provide that content. A new dlc shouldn't require end-game players to just re-grind all of the old content before they play anything new. The forge would be perfect as is if they had also provided some new content (strikes/etc) to use for grinding up, but they didn't. Asking players to re-play stale content without a rewarding looting/leveling system is not how these should be handled. And for some background I'm nowhere near a casual player, I also grew up playing diablo 2 and still do. I have no issues with re-grinding old content if it's presented in a fun and rewarding way. I've sunk a lifetime into playing diablo 2 and that definitely hasn't been refreshed anytime recently. Destiny doesn't really know what it wants to be, and it's hurting their players progression. They've made a lot of steps in the right direction, but if the end-game continues to just be "here play old content to get to the new content so that we can tell you we gave you plenty to do" people will go play other games instead. If they give some additional content to spice up the grind, the grind becomes fun again instead of a chore. That has nothing to do with casual vs hardcore, and it shouldn't be the way we look at new content. There was a long time I basically lived on Destiny, sunk the vast majority of my gaming hours into it. But lately it's just not new or exciting, and with the new dlc content locked behind grinding old content it's just poor game design if you don't also add in some new stuff to mix in with the old. Even adding some new gear to the regular loot pool would go a long way towards making the old content something interesting enough to grind.

Keeping it how it IS alienates most of the player base who can’t play 20hrs out of the day like the few crying to keep it the same but honestly what developer releases content that most can’t play? Does that sound like a smart marketing tool to release content that most can’t play yet? I’ll tell you a good starting point that makes a heck of a lot more sense.......make the machine gun frame difficulty closer to 600 all the way through to give players a taste of how the thing works and THEN with the next frame make it a bit harder that way people feel a need to grind to that higher light to grab that next frame but regardless this WILL sway a lot of people like myself to find other games where you actually get to play the content you pay for 🤷🏽♂️

Just get rid of the power level to enter altogether but make it so the difficulty is scaled to it. If someone wants to get in there to spend 5 mins to gun down some trash mob while being super underlevelled so be it

No.... D2 lost appeal at first because of static rolls and lack of content. People had nothing to chase because once you got a gun or armor piece you wanted, that was it....you were done. Also... -You couldn't replay story missions or strikes of your choosing. -Iron Banner was trash (still is without being able to get powerful gear in-game drops). -4 vs 4 PVP ....trash

1 commentairei completely agree with you but i do have a bit of constructive criticism (this is not me bashing bungie.) i feel what they could have done for the first forge (the quest for machine gun) is make it lower light so people can get into it day 1 to like 600 first wave 610 second wave 615 for boss round. im not saying this for me seeing as ive already completed the forge multiple times. I and i do see it working out within the coming weeks and fixing its self over the coming weeks [i](incoming bashing from people that see 600 as to high of light.[/i]
