Just to stay clear THIS IDEA IS NOT THE REASON WHY MATCHES STARTS SHORT ON PLAYERS If u exit matchmaking it will just keep looking and even after finding 8 guardians the match starts in 5 sec. To give people a chance to back out The reason why matches start uneven is cuz people fly in game and look the other team up and see 4 stack with luna /nf and coil and DRB ... So they just change character and so quit

You are not 100% correct. What you say works when it goes from like 1/8 to 5/8 or any number below 8/8. However the instant it goes to 8/8 that game is loading. Backing out when it is 8/8 and hasn’t loaded for you means you are leaving the team you got matched with a man down. Although on your screen you left quick enough and did not get penalized. Everyone else that was part of that 8/8 that you left is already loading into the game. As soon as it hits 8/8 it begins loading the game and because of latency it is too late to replace that player that backed out at 8/8. This is why at higher levels of comp you will sometimes load into a game with zero enemies. Because a whole team backed out when they saw it go from 4/8 to 8/8 because they just want to stomp solo players. Although backing out isn’t hurting yourself it is hurting every one else. My suggestion play solo and never back out when you are just working on a quest line. When you need glory wins for a higher glory rank team up and never back out. You are literally the reason games load in 3v4 or 2v4 or 1v4.

You cant know that it’s a pre made team or if you’re joining a lobby of four randoms. The counter is not “real time”, so dodging like you suggest can result in a match starting a player short. They should remove the counter. That way, spineless jerks can’t dodge and screw over another player.
