Here are some rules that EVERYONE needs to know if they want to get into a Gambit match and NOT have the rest of your team throw their gaming platform thingy out the nearest window.
Rule 1: (the most important one) I do not care, how good, how amazing, how spectacular, how confident, how incredibly breathtaking you think you are at Gambit. When you hear the Drifter scream "Bank and you'll summon a Primeval." or one of the other 50 phrases he says, that means...
STOP: I do NOT care what the heck your doing, the second the Drifter says you can summon a primeval, that means you run as fast as you can to the bank, and drop in your motes, I don't care if you are one hit away from killing that random yellow-bar servitor, I don't care if you have your super charged and there is a big group of enemies just BEGGING to be killed, you STOP and you bank your f***ing motes. You bank your motes, you summon your Primeval, you win (usually)
Rule 2: Stop always going for a large blocker! there are so many times when sending over 4 small blockers can be WAY more effective then sending over one large blocker that gets melted in 4 seconds if the other team is smart enough to focus their fire on it. Especially because the small blockers can push your enemies off ledges, getting rid of any motes they had. Sure a large blocker could also kill some people, (not really) but nine times out of ten, a few small blockers can be way more effective than one large blocker.
Rule 3: STOP INVADING RANDOMLY! I don't care if you think it's your turn to invade in Gambit, stop just randomly invading when you have nothing, only to die, lose all 15 of your motes (another mistake; invading with motes) and then scream in the mic how the other team is hacking. ONLY invade when you have
a: Your Super
OR
b: Power ammo
Now it's not like if you don't have these when you invade you're automatically not going to get any kills, but it would most certainly help to have them when you invade.
Rule 4: Kill the wizards first! This one not many people may know about, but if you kill the wizards that spawn near the primeval when it spawns in you will be able to deal more damage to the Primeval, so it is always a good idea to quickly clear out those wizards before engaging the primeval.
Rule 5: Do not invade the moment the enemy gets their primeval. Trust me, this does absolutely nothing, save that invasion portal for when they have started to deal a bit of damage to their primeval to reset their progress (and remember rule 3 before invading) if you invade right as they spawn their primeval, sure you may kill them and set them back a tiny bit, but you would be doing so much more if you just wait until their primeval has taken a bit of damage before invading.
Rule 6: If you have zero motes, and there is an invader, well congratulations buddy, chum, pal, friend, amigo, (insert other friendly words here) you have just earned the title of invader finder/killer. If you have zero motes, stop cowering in a corner, and go hunt down the invader, kill him before he can kill you. Besides, it's not like hiding will actually do anything as the invader can see where you are through walls.
Rule 7: Always try to focus down blockers. Oh hey! would you look at that! There's a big ol' taken knight standing right beside your bank and he's really upset so he's not gonna let you bank your motes, so what's the logical thing to do? Kill him! or her, I don't know, do Taken have genders?
Anyway, legit though, focus down the blockers, because guess what, all those motes your collecting really don't mean anything if there's still a blocker in your path, preventing you from banking any motes.
Anyway, this has gone on long enough, those are some (yea, there's more) of the basic rules you should know before heading into your next gambit match.
And BTW don't think I'm telling you that you HAVE to follow these rules to the word and only focus on winning and not on having fun. NO that is not what I am saying, I am just trying to help you with some tips on how to be better at Gambit, and trust me, the better you are at something, the more fun it is (usually). By all means, have fun! It's a video game, after all, it's supposed to be played for fun! However, I can guarantee you that your team will be very thankful if you know these basic rules.

Now, eyes up guardian, go have some fun. :)
EDIT: To all the people who think this was just copied and pasted. (Particularly one individual, who's name I shall not say) this was NOT copied from some random website or something. Do I claim that these pieces of advice are mine and mine only? NO these are pieces of advice that I found from videos, playing the game, and watching others play the game. If there is some trick or website where you verify if this is copied then by all means do so. But I can assure you that this was not copied and pasted from reddit, or from another post on the forum, or whatever other website you may think. I wrote this. Am I claiming that I invented these rules? NO I am NOT I know I did not make these rules. I am not taking ownership of them.

If the wizards have been alive for more than 15 seconds you know you've lost.
-
Rule 4 Think this is the MOST important one
-
Awesome. Ty
-
All right Maverick.

1 commentaireDon’t tell me how to play the game, if I want to go AFK for 40 Gambit matches I will.

4 commentairesInstructions unclear: Rule 1: Dick stuck in Bank Rule 2: Dick stuck in Mote Rule 3: Dick stuck in Portal Rule 4: Dick stuck in Wizard Rule 5: Dick stuck in Primevil Rule 6: Dick stuck in Invader Rule 7: Dick stuck in Blocker

What do I do if I can't read?!?!
-
After getting my Dredgen I'll add a few Don't touch the heavy brick if you're not invading. Know where the portals are located Learn where invaders spawn. The enemy faction hits hard so don't go rushing in alone to be focused fire down. You don't have to grab all the motes. If your team mate is at 4 and you have 1 leave those spare motes alone
-
Bruhs, don’t waste super until the drifter says “primeval compromised”.
-
Don’t forget don’t bank until the enemy has gathered motes. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had an invasion portal active and some blueberry rushes in despite the enemy team having 0 motes. It does absolutely nothing.
-
Nice write up bro, can I add 1 thing please. Leave the bows stowed in inventory not equipped ready to use. Had 1 games 3 guys with bows, mind numbing experience pal
-
Screw the kids who are saying "Don’t tell me what to do" These are good guidelines to follow (common sense actually). When you go into a game with randoms, the objective is to win, and you should expect the same from the other "Guardians" or sometimes "Kinderguardians" In my experience gambit is fun in general but a win makes it waaaaaay more fun. But that being said idiots trying to go for 15 when we already have 72 in the bank annoys me greatly. *Edit Everything except a few triumphs from gambit I have (Title, Malfeasance, Breakneck, Asendent Prime Emblem and 4 resets in season 4) I live there. Come at me.

Modifié par ShaxxCousin : 12/1/2018 7:25:39 PMI think a lot people know what they’re doing, they just don’t care and are only playing for the auto rifle. I noticed the other day a lot of people just staying back and killing things but not picking up motes. Way to go on Bungies part for making the quest have nothing to do with winning.
-
1 commentaireI’m guessing Minor Spec mods (etc) still work in Gambit, but is that confirmed anywhere? I know sometimes they “normalize” things like that in PVP, etc.
-
Don't tell me how to play my single player quest.
-
1 commentaireOh please these ain't rules just common sense get outta here
-
I love these😂 Like he is the drifter himself, king of gambit!!! Get the .... out of here please😘
-
Modifié par BioShocker65 : 12/1/2018 6:55:06 PMI can happily confirm I follow none of these rules 🤗 I'm rocking double auto's for the quest and then gambit and that pikey the drifter can take a long hard flying f**k to themselves ! And I'm actually enjoying myself 😎
-
Rule one: quit. Finis.
-
This is all wrong. There's no rules, only 'rule'. 1. Use Synthoceps and Well of Radiance glitch.
-
6 commentairesModifié par CORE SwarmFIRE13 : 12/1/2018 4:17:00 PMYou forgot one. Don’t stand at the bank while your teammates do all the work. I had one of these guys yesterday. He invaded nearly every time and got one or two kills. I invaded and got 4. But he wouldn’t let anyone else.
The Rules of Gambit (Read if you don't know what you're doing in Gambit)
Well said and I'd like to add if I may.... If you are solo and get teamed up with a clan of 3, assume they have a game plan and try not to f'k it up. If they have a good invader then LET THEM INVADE! So frustrating having a blueberry who sucks at invading keep hopping in the portal just because it opens and we aren't jumping in immediately. We (the clan) are communicating and saving the portal for the right time. Speaking of invading, if you aren't an invader then DO NOT take the Heavy at the heavy spawn. Leave that for the invader and get yours from ad drops. Lastly, REVIVE teammates! So annoying when blueberries are standing right on top of your blue orb shooting the primevil with an auto rifle but don't revive you... of course you have your super and heavy ready to go but hey that's ok, you'll just spawn way in the back and run all the way back to the fight. Surely the other team won't kill their primevil by then 🙄

I can confirm everyone of these are correct.
