24 hour duty
I’m a Lance corporal in the US Marine Corps stationed in Iwakuni Japan. I’m with VMFA-121 Green Knights Squadron.
I’ve been tasked with watching the Barracks for the day, but have been given permission to use my phone and books to keep myself entertained.
Since I’m in a kinda rare position I figured it might be fun to answer questions about Japan, the Marine Corps, and my job as a Mechanic in the squadron.

17 commentairesI've been thinking of joining the Army for a non-combat role like electrician or computers. Is it truly something you get to pick or are there special requirements for it? I've gotten conflicting information from multiple people. The recruiters say that you just go to the recruiting center and tell them the job you want, while others are saying that you'll be forced into infantry when you join if you don't meet some kind of unspecified requirements or don't get a certain score on the ASVAB (I think that's what it's called). Any input would be extremely appreciated as I have no alternative to pay for college and don't want to get caught up in debt. Besides, going to places like Japan seems like a really fun experience.

1 commentaireJapan’s a beautiful country. If you get the chance you should visit Nikko national park. It’s only a day trip away from Tokyo.
