Replaying D1 AMA
Just like the title said.
I just started a new character on destiny 1
I got the willies leaving in my crap Arcadia class jump ship to the tower.
Plus. The music is so damn nostalgic.
Edit 1: there’s a full house here at the tower. Looks like I’m not the only one here.
Also, it’s nice having a sniper in my secondary slot.
Edit 2: I forgot what it was like having to go into orbit all the time without the director.
Edit 3: it’s safe to say I had a great time last night since I only got 4 hrs. of sleep and now I’m getting ready for work. Don’t think for a second that D1 is a ghost town of a game. I was worried about that but every time I loaded into the tower it was fully cued up. I ran Sepiks Prime (lvl 8 version) with a full fire team from matchmaking. Go run that strike at lvl 8 with nothing from blues to exotics and tell me that’s not nostalgic. Anyways. I highly recommend going back and creating a character on D1.

5 commentairesIt’s insane to go back and realize that ledge grab wasn’t a thing. People complain about jumping puzzles in D2... they obviously forgot about climbing Felwinters Peak with no ledge grab in a non-combat area. What a shit show that was.

I started playing again yesterday. I [b]love[/b] Destiny 1. It’s the video game equivalent of walking outside on a cool day, breathing in the fresh air, and preparing yourself for whatever the day might hold. Destiny 2 is a great game, but it just doesn’t have that same magic that the original had.

They had a better feel, seemed more fleshed out, and seemed to have more areas to explore (outside of lost sectors). My question: Going back, does it feel that way to you or am I looking back at them through rose colored glasses? Edit: The new maps feel like they have huge bare areas of nothingness. Wasted space that you rarely go.

D2 is the remains of that..... Well frankly sabotage. You dont stand there for 10mins trying to take a patrol or interacting with anything in D1 like you do in D2. D1 feels faster and my god i forgot what it was like to setup my super how i wanted..... Choice people.... Choice in how i have it set..... Same with guns and armour. D1 i fear will be the best this series will ever get. I loaded up my hunter and what greets me? Bones of eao Fatebringer Found verdict Hunger of crota I also had this yellow sniper called icebreaker and a rocket launcher called jellyhorn. I miss you my lovely jellybreaker

He's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold

Doing the same thing each week is getting old, i'm burnt out, if Fallout doesn't work out D1 will be next. Just goes to show us how good D1 was deep down in our souls, lots of good memories.

Do you find the movement to be about 15-30% faster on D1? Do you find handcannons to be waaaay more consistent on D1? I’ve found both to be true

I’ve still got it installed...still plenty of things I never got a chance to acquire or complete during its lifetime so if I ever have any free time from D2, I don’t mind going back and playing D1.

Destiny 1 is the better game. I also recently played it again and I was surprised to see other people.
