No, not like that!
Like...well, I don't really know how to explain it...but mine would be vampires. I've loved vampires ever since I was a wee edgeling watching Buffy with my mom and older sister. I love the mythology behind them.
I watched every show or movie I'd heard about and read any book I could find in the library...yes, even THOSE awful things in highschool...My dad used to tease me saying, "Oh it's because we're descendents of the real Dracula, Vlad the Impaler! It's why we burn so easily in the sun!"
Whenever my friends and siblings would play games, my characters were almost always vampires of some kind or atleast kept some of the themes. That transfered a bit to modern day gaming for me. I don't make ALL of my characters vampires, but if a video game or tabletop game gives me the option to play as one, I take it at least once.
Now, I liked other normal kid stuff too. Soccer, cartoons, movies, Bionicles, ballet, archery, and music. I didn't spend every waking minute dreaming about drinking blood, hiss at the sun, or dress in Victorian era funeral attire. I just really like vampires...and "spooky" stuff with horror themes in general, actually.
So yeah...what's your "thing" then?

I don't know what my Thing is anymore. I have various interests but none of them I would consider a solid pursuit.

No, not Lil Yachty or Lil whateveritistoday, I dont listen to trash. I listen to Eminem, Jay Z, and rappers who leave a message that doesn’t encourage kids to go get STD’s. 2 commentairesI absolutely love writing. Whether it’s some longer-than-need-be post on here, a far fetched lore theory, some hopefully-not-cringy fanfic, or something purely from my own mind, I absolutely love it. Just typing up words on a doc. I love it! Going in hand with your answer, I’ve also been a big vampire nerd. Sounds like you’re bigger on them than I am, but I’ve gone and spent a week or two just researching blood loss so I could accurately predict the effects of a real vampire attack. (on a side note, have you watched Shiki? Absolutely brilliant!) Vampires, however, are only tied with ny favorite mythological creature, not a no contest first place. The other, would be faeries. Since fairy can mean just about anything, from dragons to elves, I’m referring specifically to the little people with bug wings. Something about them just absolutely fascinates me, especially works that detail their culture & such.

Singing is a secret passion of mine. Not as good as I'd like to be but not as horrible others might be.

2 commentairesModifié par ALIAS-F4LS : 10/22/2018 3:22:15 AMWell I'm a dude so I got what some call a di- oh wait other things, right. Well I've had a strange obsession with the occult/haunted stuff, and knives. I think it's mostly due to me living from 5 to 12 in a house that weird, freaky things went down on the regular such as chairs moving on their own, my stuffed animals with speakers going off with no batteries, to this ghost kid I can remember being almost normal for me to see from time to time. I know it sounds like some set for a cheesy movie and maybe I had some kind of mental disorder as a kid but ever since I've been obsessed with the paranormal which coincidentally led to the obsession occult. As for the knife thing, I practiced knife tricks a lot as a teenager. Now that I'm older I actually make knives as a hobbie. It's just fun either grinding down a large file into something entirely new or just buying a blank online and crafting the perfect handle. I've actually been working with a tanto knife blank for the past few weeks! Then there's my obsession with Tool videos. If you want to see some weird sh_t, just go on YouTube and type in Tool stinkfist or ænima (aenima works too) Other than that I'm just another ooooorrdinaaary man!

Well you see I...wait...uh... I’m not really obsessed with anything. I like a lot of things I’m just not obsessed with anything. There are a few things that i do that make time fly by: video games, reading and outdoor activities with friends and family.

Basically complex story telling or musical compositions. I especially love things that seem extremely simple and strait forward on the surface but actually have a very deep meaning when you look deeper. With movies my friends also get annoyed with me because I’m a lot more critical with them than they are. Recently with Venom I thought it was absolute trash but they all loved it. I enjoy films like Fantastic Mr Fox for the amazing visual style with very small, minimal details that add to the larger world of things. I also like the very straight forward children’s story message of the whole thing yet it still has deeper meanings for those who seek them, honestly this is why I love Wes Anderson’s movies in general. I also love Inception for the fantastic world building (literally) and again, the complicated story telling that will give most people a headache. The visual style is amazing and I still think it’s some of the best effects to ever be in a movie. I also love the unintentional parallels to film making. With music I have always gravitated towards metal, classical, and jazz. I’m the only person I know that likes metal which kinda sucks because it’s my favorite of the three. Progressive metal specifically I have always had a great appreciation for and I love it because of the many styles that are in one song alone. For example take one of my favorite songs, Bleak by Opeth. It starts off with a distorted guitar playing one chord and it repeats this three times, on the fourth time however there is an acoustic guitar that plays a lick in the background that perfectly transitions the song into the complicated opening riff with a complex time signature. After repeating the riff a couple times it seamlessly transitions to the verse where the growling vocals compliment the sound of the distorted guitars and the sustained amp feedback in the background. The vocals also tell the story of how someone reacts and feels as their lover slowly dies of leprosy. My favorite lines are “Crying, who is crying for you here Dying, I am dying fast inside your tears” To me it really show the intense pain that this person feels and it perfectly encapsulates the cryptic emotions one feels. Anyways at the end of the second verse it transitions to the chorus with the growling vocal delivery to a sudden whisper of the last word alongside a sudden change to acoustic guitars with a single distorted note sustained in the background. It then suddenly goes back to the heavier tone of the verse and goes into a pre chorus with some more growling vocals and ends with a transitioning riff into the chorus. The chorus has a completely different guitar riff and has clean vocals with harmonization of other voices as well as a perfectly coinciding riff. As the chorus builds it then fall into an acoustic interlude with a solo in the background. At the end of this beautifully done interlude there are soft spoken vocals that fade into another pre chorus completely different from the first. The pre chorus rises and rises until it falls into a magnificently constructed crash or every instrument sending the listener into another realm. It then seamlessly transitions back to the chorus without you even realizing. As the chorus falls it is caught by the return of the heavier guitar riff and growling vocals serving as the outro and the end of this nine minute masterpiece. TL:DR I like complexity in entertainment and want to be able to dissect every part of it rather than mindlessly enjoy something.

4 commentairesTwo things. It's very clichè, but I've always loved dinosaurs. Just the concept interests me. I'm not so much interested in the bones, or the hard facts, but what they could be. Secondly, music. It's been a guiding light in my life for many years, and recently it's helped me to cope.
