Difference in trying your hardest and being a try-hard.

Trying your hardest: -You are literately just trying to be the best you can be in a match -Chilled out and just having fun -Winning is still important to you, but you don't let it get to you too badly -Decent-Great player that just enjoys the game -Just using gear that is good and you enjoy using -Admit when you weren't playing at your best when you were the reason for a loss Being a Try-hard: -Trying way too hard to win the Match, not even caring about the rest of the team. -Teabagging someone after they killed you multiple times as much and calling them a scrub/noob/etc. after the incident -Insulting anyone that kills you (often calling them certain "F" and "N" words) -Not chilled out, a vein might even pop in your head from how angry you get over the littlest things -You have the latest in "Streamer meta Gear" but somehow still manage to suck with it. -Blaming others for your failures and generally making things up like a person somehow hitting you with a final round/LitC shot out of an icebreaker -Wrongfully reporting people after you lost a match -Rage quit a match when the other team gets only 500 points in the lead -Rage quit a match because someone ended your killing spree -Only having fun when winning or being the best in a game, claims anything less is bullshit -Yelling at teammates because they couldn't read your mind for some reason -Might have a collection of broken TV's or controllers (maybe even a console) Edit: I am not saying that trying to win is the try-hard thing here, as I often try my best to win as well. What the try-hard thing is basically just being a gigantic, living pillar of salt about everything and pretty much treating everyone else like garbage along the way and blaming them for faults or losses even when those faults/losses are your own. Basically a person trying hard is a good, chilled person who people want to be like and play with. A try-hard is that person that no one wants to play with and are usually made fun of by the community. Edit 2: To the people saying "Try-hard is just a term made by salty people that got their asses handed too them" I just want this is not what it means at all (or shouldn't). This was a term that was coined years ago in the olden days of FPS for people would break their keyboards and even monitors over over being killed a few times or even starting arguments and real fights with other players over it. Basically it was a term used to describe people that have poor attitudes, mannerism, and behavior while in the game, but apparently in Destiny it has been used by anyone and everyone that loses a match. Final Edit: To make this perfectly clear to everyone on who is a real try-hard and who isn't and to give the best example: The person that loses, despite having every advantage they could possibly have in the game weather it be using a certain class/weapon/ability, and then messages you calling you a try-hard/noob/etc. is more than likely the real try-hard, the one the actual definition is supposed to fit to.
