Trying your hardest:
-You are literately just trying to be the best you can be in a match
-Chilled out and just having fun
-Winning is still important to you, but you don't let it get to you too badly
-Decent-Great player that just enjoys the game
-Just using gear that is good and you enjoy using
-Admit when you weren't playing at your best when you were the reason for a loss
Being a Try-hard:
-Trying way too hard to win the Match, not even caring about the rest of the team.
-Teabagging someone after they killed you multiple times as much and calling them a scrub/noob/etc. after the incident
-Insulting anyone that kills you (often calling them certain "F" and "N" words)
-Not chilled out, a vein might even pop in your head from how angry you get over the littlest things
-You have the latest in "Streamer meta Gear" but somehow still manage to suck with it.
-Blaming others for your failures and generally making things up like a person somehow hitting you with a final round/LitC shot out of an icebreaker
-Wrongfully reporting people after you lost a match
-Rage quit a match when the other team gets only 500 points in the lead
-Rage quit a match because someone ended your killing spree
-Only having fun when winning or being the best in a game, claims anything less is bullshit
-Yelling at teammates because they couldn't read your mind for some reason
-Might have a collection of broken TV's or controllers (maybe even a console)
Edit:
I am not saying that trying to win is the try-hard thing here, as I often try my best to win as well.
What the try-hard thing is basically just being a gigantic, living pillar of salt about everything and pretty much treating everyone else like garbage along the way and blaming them for faults or losses even when those faults/losses are your own.
Basically a person trying hard is a good, chilled person who people want to be like and play with.
A try-hard is that person that no one wants to play with and are usually made fun of by the community.
Edit 2: To the people saying "Try-hard is just a term made by salty people that got their asses handed too them" I just want this is not what it means at all (or shouldn't).
This was a term that was coined years ago in the olden days of FPS for people would break their keyboards and even monitors over over being killed a few times or even starting arguments and real fights with other players over it.
Basically it was a term used to describe people that have poor attitudes, mannerism, and behavior while in the game, but apparently in Destiny it has been used by anyone and everyone that loses a match.
Final Edit: To make this perfectly clear to everyone on who is a real try-hard and who isn't and to give the best example:
The person that loses, despite having every advantage they could possibly have in the game weather it be using a certain class/weapon/ability, and then messages you calling you a try-hard/noob/etc. is more than likely the real try-hard, the one the actual definition is supposed to fit to.

What's the deal with "t bagging"...is it the ppl who spent $$ on emotes who get mad over "t bagging"? So is it better to use an emote that you "dab" or "slit your throat" etc...etc.. I'm confused. Tbag is the poor man's emote if anything. Everyone so easily offended and ridiculously sensitive that if you forget you don't have shadestep/twilight on and you taping the "B" button you getting reported....

2 commentairesWhats the term for someone who trys as hard as a try hard but sucks at the game?
-
You mean a Damn double stickie -blam!-ed who has no skill? I feel like I let something out lol..
-
Rage quitting after the enemy only goes up 500 points. Lol nothing gets me more heated than going from being down 500 to down 5000 because half the team left and didn't even try to make a comeback.

1 commentaire
Being a Try-hard: -Trying way too hard to win the Match, not even caring about the rest of the team. .
So trying to win a match isn't beneficial to the rest of the team? Makes sense
-
What if you're trying hard but also having fun pretending that setbacks upset you immensely?
-
A try hard defination A slang name which a player gives another player for being better than him

My friend has become a try hard. We actually ended up arguing the other night because I resd him during a 3v1 I had, as a last resort to flip the play and win, since it was the last round, I had no grenade or super, and just an auto rifle. I knew the chances of it working were really small, but the best chance was to rez him as 3 guys collapsed around me. I got the rez, barely, he got shotgunned right away as I fought around his spawn. And they killed me too. He yelled at me because it's gonna ruin his titans kd, which he previously said he didn't care about. But now he's a try hard. So what's it's better for me to just give up then do anything to hurt his kd, even at the cost of losing matches.
-
2 commentairesSo in short, a try-hard is someone without sportsmanship.

Modifié par Mar : 6/9/2017 5:22:18 AMi always found the easiest way to explain the difference is that - trying your hardest means giving it your best shot every time you can but understanding that failure can happen. In other words, you do try to win and give it your best shot but if you fail to win or achieve the goal you don't worry too much about it. you may get bummed out for a second or even get annoyed, but you move on and just try again. while being "try-hard" is trying so hard to succeed at something (not just winning the game, this can apply to being funny, being fast/quick, or even "having fun" to some degree) that you actually achieve the opposite of what you want. Such as when you try so very hard to win that you actually not only cause yourself to loose, but you suck all the fun out of the activity for everyone else in it. If someone is trying to hard to win they try as hard as they can but also get mad, annoyed, and angry causing them to get reckless and play worse, which makes them more mad, which in turn makes EVERYONE else involved get annoyed, or just bored. When someone is trying to win and actively ruining it for everyone else they are a try hard, when they try their hardest to do something they may win or loose, but either way they just move on and don't dwell on it.
well if nothing else the replies to this forum have helped me keep my mute list full.
21 commentairesLoad up a private match with my friend, just using stupid weapons against another for shits and giggles. Guy from my friends list randomly joins and I'm like, okay whateva, more the merrier. He starts slaughtering us with his trials meta gear (last word and a God long bow). I message to just relax, it's a crazy loadout match, hell I was running a blue fusion with shit stats. He continues to keep going full win mode, mostly body hand cannon, which to the point we got annoyed. Finally the match ends, surprise he won. Messaged him again to which he replied "your just mad i won and you suck". We go to 1v1, my buddy watching on the sidelines and watching kill feed, as I called him out on his special crutch and was going for primary only. Note: the second on my team was there for pure speciation and had 0 points. We load in on his choice of map, I set it to inferno, for no special. First thing I die to, ice breaker. I laugh and call him put on his need for his crutch sniper. He gets a couple more before I'm just laughing at his need for a crutch. He gets pissed and says he don't need a crutch. Next death nlb (during clever dragon meta, so 0 flinch). Again I laugh at his need at once again, needing a special crutch (yes it goes in primary but it's still a secondary by nature). He finally gets pissed and switches to a hacksaw. From here the game turns and I'm shitting on him with a distant star, suddenly he starts killing the spectator for points. Which I pointed out won't help, as we will just subtract those at the end as he's not playing. Now he's pissed, about 500 down. Suddenly I get to notifications that 2 new players joined. He invited 2 friends to start 3v1 against me, to which we just said he threw the match. He rage quit yelling every curse under the sun calling us "skillless pussies" That my friends, is a tryhard.

Go hard or go home lmao

3 commentairesIf you are chilled out your normally not even trying you are just playing talking to your friends not caring about score or kd. So that's just fundamentally wrong to say your trying hard A try-hard is someone who is trying hard at something to get a challenge done, win, get a good kd, finish a bounty what ever it may be. You don't have to be good at the game to try really hard at it and the better you are at the game normally the less you try unless it's competitive
-
8 commentairesWait, is a try hard trying hard the same as trying hard to be a try hard?
-
1 commentaireThe term "try hard" is made up by sore losers and doesn't actually exist I read your post and you tried to define the difference but really there are people who play and people who play and get beat by "try hards". I prefer not to use a term that was invented by losers. If I get beat it is because I lost or not my like of trying or the other teams trying too hard to beat me. I would rather lose straight up than claim that the other team only won because they tried too hard ergo I didn't try enough.... This is the dumbest term in the gaming community....

My short definition of a try-hard is anyone who thinks winning in a video game, or having superior stats, is either important or an accomplishment. Which I think sums up most of your differences in a nice, neat nutshell.

Using nothing but handcannons stickys and sidearms to get kills is tryhard to me Handcannons are broke i hit headshots and even im like that was a bodyshot lol
-
I'd say a try-hard is someone that takes the game too seriously and ALWAYS uses the best weapons 100% of the time and never tries anything different for fun.
-
2 commentairesYou're claiming not to be butthurt. You're claiming that you "move on to the next match" when you lose. Your post tells me otherwise.
Just seems like you didn't get enough attention as a child.
1 commentaireMaybe instead of saying trying and hardest and tryhard; you could have said casual and competitive.

8 commentairesLets be real TLW needs a serious nerf to at least the range if not the range and bullet damage if you use it you're a scrub and you should feel bad. anyone that DOES use it should eject their game and break it in have I cant comprehend why bungie thought it was a good idea to create this -blam!-ing gun in the first place it should have gone the way of the pocket infinity.
TLW IS GARBAGE

SUPER DUPER TRASHCAN GARBAGE

savage b8 is savage

its garbage
2 commentairesCalling someone else a tryhard is just an excuse for people to blame the enemy and not them selfs for a loss.
