It's a sequel. A lot is going to be the same. And based off the reveal you don't have enough information to claim it as a reskin.
If you do claim it as a reskin, name any game sequel that isnt a reskin by the same criteria.
Thanks.

86 commentairesYou fanboys are unreal. You will pay another 200$ for shit that was taken away. Worse PvP. No dedicated servers. 30fps. It's all the same shit. What a let down.
-
I've seen a few posts of people saying it's a reskin, but if it was COMPLETELY different then it wouldn't be Destiny. We wouldn't be able to relate to it as Destiny. Of course we're going to have the same enemies, it's a sequel not a spin off.
-
It is absolutely nothing like a reskin at all
-
Shadow of colossus - silent hill 2 , ect
-
If this game is considered a reskin, then half life ep 1 and ep 2 are definitely reskins of half life 2. And the half life series is arguably one of the greatest game series to exist.

5 commentairesAgreed, if it were a new engine etc i would understand but it's not there not going change the core game play
-
2 commentairesbattlefield hardline was a reskin

34 commentairesModifié par FrankTheAwesome : 5/19/2017 11:32:31 PMTotally Reskin, lazy development tbh. No dedicated servers, 30 fps, old graphics engine, and more to come.... Throw your money if you want, but this is barely destiny 1.5, and I'm being soft with that statement.

7 commentairesIt's a re-skin. Sequels that are not re-skin's: Morrowind, Oblivion, Skyrim. Each is a sequel of the other, each are striking in their differences to the game before it. Boom.
-
I think expectations and anticipation ran way too high as usual. Even for me. It's the Destiny Universe. Everything can't just change... It is what it is. And I will like it.

5 commentairesModifié par Zeeznutz : 5/19/2017 11:17:08 PMStill 30 fps, no dedicated servers probably the same shitty tickrate. Watched a couple pvp games and it had trades and lag in a controlled setting, can only imagine when a mexican is host stealing McDonald's wifi on the other side of the borderwall. 4v4 crucible is their cheap ass solution to dedicated servers. It's a joke

I don't think people get what a reskin is
-
It's not a re skin, it's a sequel. It just has the same format. Everything is new, it will just play in the same way. A re skin is more like the weapons of D1, they take an old weapon, change its stats and colour and you have a re skin of an older weapon.

16 commentairesModifié par ARCHER444 : 5/19/2017 3:20:26 PMIt's obviously a re-skin, and that's why some people are disappointed. Yes, EVERY game with a sequel(s) is a re-skin. And D2 will definitely not be the exception. But the fact remains that people are already tired of Bungie's shit from D1 (i.e. weapon nerfs that did absolutely nothing to balance game play; PvP lobby connections that got progressively worse; end-game content/raid weapons that became useless; and exotics that in the end, never felt 'exotic'; etc...) and this reveal did not paint D2 in a good picture. "New" campaign? What I expect- repeating the same boring missions over and over for a 'Daily' mission. What I hope for- map/boss randomization for each mission (i.e. minions won't spawn in the same damn place every time and a different boss can be encountered for any mission) for a start. "New" strike(s)? What I expect- we are going to have a dismal strike list to start with. What I hope for- at least 10 strikes to start with. D1 started with 5 for PS4 and it got boring quick! I also hope for daily random burn modifiers for the strikes (instead of a week of chaff and grounded). "New" supers? What I expect- awesome stuff that Bunghole is going to nerf into oblivion because of the Crucibabies. What I hope(d) for- a completely new character/race with all the new supers. This would justify the dick-move of making us lose our original characters, AND make D2 feel 'new'. "New" crucible? This was one of the reveals that irritated me the most! When that dufus said the word 'competitive' I just about ended the stream. That comment alone laid the foundation that Bunghole is going all-out to focus on their garbage PvP! What I expect- all the weapons we covet for PvE will be nerfed into oblivion- again! Nerfstiny 2 here we come! (not my word by the way, just saw it posted elsewhere and it holds so much truth) I was also pissed that they tried to justify 4v4 for 'competitive' play; when the reality is, they have no plans to bring servers to console and that is the only way for shitty P2P connections to somewhat work. Did they not see the same red-bar warriors in Trials???? What I hope(d) for- Crucible to be completely separate from PvE! You want to play PvP, then you use only PvP guns/armor. "New" matchmaking? How the heck has any loner boner not used LFG??? This might be great for the 6-year old squeaker that doesn't have a phone with the companion app, but seriously, this was supposed to make us go "ooooooohh!!"??? I can only say this part of the reveal was almost as big a joke as the crucible part. What disappointed me overall was the fact that there was NO mention of any software performance upgrades (i.e. 60fps). What I expect- the EXACT SAME DISMAL frame rate from a three-year old game! No mention of PvP servers. What I expect- the EXACT SAME DISMAL lobby connections and lag for crucible. These were 2 heavy-hitters that the community expected or hoped for in D2. And now it looks like we will have to deal with the same garbage for the next 3+ years... I just don't think I have the patience any more.

Same Sh1t Different Dress! We all know if you change the skin, it's a new thing, right! Nah, only you...SSDD

3 commentairesSuper Mario... oh wait Halo 2... oh wait God of war 2... oh wait Assassins creed 2... oh wait

2 commentairesI love everything i saw and i agree with you. My issues are dedicated servers??? How open world is it really?
-
3 commentairesI love how people are saying that they should've brought back the old locations, but at the same time these people would turn around and be like, "Wow how lazy! Why are you reusing old places!"

19 commentairesDestiny 2 is running on the same game engine, so it's not gonna be very different, but there have been many sequels in the past that came out with a new game engine. If I want to play a 2014 game, I'll just leave Destiny 1 in my PlayStation.

2 commentairesModifié par Halfburied : 5/19/2017 4:33:20 PMEh...waiting for super duper ultra omega legendary edition of the game with dlc for the same price (if not lower) than the price i would pay preordering just the game itself 😋
-
17 commentairesIts going to be a reskin simply because it will still run at 30fps. Bungie focused too much on graphics rather than actual gameplay, this is why overwatch will still be the number 1 option for destiny veterans.
-
People don't get what a sequel is now. Weird.
-
4 commentairesYea cause arc bow isn't a reskin of arc blade. Right. I like how you make excuses for them instead of admitting obvious facts. Fanboy. Oh and warlock super isn't Titan hammers reskinned??? Ohhhhh okay gotcha

9 commentairesModifié par BOSS_TPH76 : 5/19/2017 4:45:19 PMI don't mind it being a reskin. But I do have, what I feel, are legitimate concerns and preliminary criticisms. - Subclasses are reworked. And while that rework may be an improvement on what we have now and may even feel better....it is still basically a rework. It doesn't come across as innovative. And while even that may constitute an improvement it also constitutes a missed opportunity. But we will see. I liked Destiny...so this is more of a sentiment thing than a deal breaker. - I am very skeptical about the 4v4 PvP mode. Predominantly because I am not a fan of the smaller team modes and, as a mediocre PvP player, feel that the smaller team modes make PvP specifically tailored to competitive players instead of offering a varied menu for all experience levels. (Also....rip Rift :( ) It all comes across as a bandage for lag concerns and feels like a serious step back. It also hampers playing with your friends. While in Destiny you got to play with 6 clan members or friends....you now get to play it with only 4. Leaving people in the sidelines. This is a social concern. In Destiny we spend a lot of time building up and bonding with raid teams or jumped into PvP mode while we waited for team members to arrive....or played IB together. That all seems to be gone. There is a serious game mechanic concern to this as well. With the reworked supers 4v4 game modes have a serious chance to change into stomping matches and quickly deteriorate the match balance. And in 4v4 modes individual skill differences between friends can create an even greater gap in the outcome of matches as well as individual experience than in D1. This will affect who you chose to play with. Seemingly this will ironically reduce the accessibility of the mode. Again...these are concerns based on what I have seen and heard so far and I have no idea how they will play out once I get to play the game. - Technical aspects so far are underwhelmimg. It seems there are less technical improvements for console....especially when it comes to graphics....than one might have hoped or expect in a next gen game no longer restricted by old gen. This is disappointing. I didn't find anything they said really innovative or revolutionary either. Most of the big improvements should have been in the game from the start or should have at the very least been added during TTK when most other similar games had variations of these "innovations". Now....none of these are dealbreakers imo but they are entirely legitimate concerns. And while I am looking forward to D2 and playing it....I wasn't at all blown away by the presentation.

Star Wars Empire was bull. They used a lot of the same costumes. They just reskinned han leia Luke and chewy. How lazy could they get? Geez! Put some effort into it! The last Jedi is a major reskin. They're using the same weapons. Why can't they be original and just reinvent the wheel?!
