Hello! So there has been a TON of talk about Explosive rounds on this subreddit lately, and for good reason. I posted about Explosive rounds over a year ago. I proved that explosive rounds were one of the most powerful perks in the game.
Basically my first video covers the increased damage that explosive rounds gives you. That is a huge part of this perk, but its not everything.
So I'm back! With "Explosive rounds in-Depth (Part 2)": https://youtu.be/aOEHr3oFUuQ
There are still Three more substantial things that explosive rounds can add to your ability.
Flinch: Way more flinch!
Range: The increased range is definitely the most interesting part of this. Explosive rounds on a hand cannon is more effective at increasing your range than any other range boosting perk in the game!
Knights/phalanx shields: explosive rounds can destroy the Knights heavy shields and blast through Phalanx shields.
This guide is up to date. I put a lot of work into the research for this video so I hope you learn something!

3 commentairesModifié par SeaWolv : 5/16/2017 6:42:16 PMI thought we were told that you don't want to use Explosive Rounds and Firefly together because ER prevents FF from procing. Since FF does more damage you want to use it over ER (Fatebringer), so choose Field Scout or Single Point Sling instead.

My baby is on my 1st Titan, the male. The female Titan is my wife's. A relic from ages past, full auto NL Shadow with explosive rounds and firefly.
-
Those two perks seem to work best with each other on high impact scouts, I get it to proc more than I ever could with fatebringer.
-
It's a great enemy shield buster in pve when solar burn is active. A juggernaut when solar and small arms is active.

1 commentaireI want a Doctrine of passing type hun with explosive rounds and triple tap.

2 commentairesIll Will with outlaw, explosive rounds, and mulligan on my Titian, not quite God roll but it wrecks.

5 commentairesIt's worth noting that explosive doesn't actually increase the range, but rather it decreases the effect of damage falloff because explosive damage is not effected by the fall off. Yes you are going to deal greater damage at range, but because the range is not actually increasing you are going to be dealing with ghost bullets a hell of a lot more often so is more inconsistent than a hand cannon with a range perk. Basically you have a trade off. - Explosive - More damage but less consistent hit registration. - Range Perk - Less damage at range but more consistent hit registration. This is less of an issue in PvE so I would say explosive rounds is a better perk for most situations. In PvP however you want consistency above all else so a range perk would be the better option 100% of the time.

Modifié par Muka Gatals : 5/17/2017 3:37:11 PMSilent Nerf is coming... Or they will do something very creative...make any existing gun that have Explosive round become Exotic weapon... We are going to loose another thing that still make this game a little bit fun.

That was a well made video. Nice job

That video was Datto-level in terms of maths and explanation. Why doesn't this guy have more subscribers?

22 commentairesI want to like explosive rounds, but it keeps interfering with my "Outlaw" perk.

7 commentairesModifié par Lost Sols : 5/16/2017 1:25:17 PMI used to try to tell people this back in HoW and no one believed me lol. Took me 90 re-rolls, but I had a scout with AOS Scope, Full Auto, Explosive Rounds and 3rd Eye. It was the single best weapon I've ever used in this game and destroyed Thoooooooooorn users.

1 commentaireGuess its a good thing auto rifles and Machine guns couldn't get it.
-
Having both is a technical failure, because of how E.R. messes with crit kills, so I'll just stick with firefly.

They are both good in their own situations. When you are doing solar burn, normally, I would use explosive rounds. But when I am doing raids (especially at golgoroth, when the thrall and acolytes are spawning), I prefer to use firefly to take out mass amounts of enemies.

4 commentairesFirefly has always been a wasted perk in my eyes.

My favorite gun in the history of this genre is my year 1 Badger CCL Legendary scout rifle with firefly and explosive rounds and luck in the chamber. Kill 2-3 enemies with every shot. I still have it.

For anyone that doubts how awesome splosive rounds are: get a burning eye, equip splosive rounds, and use it for a day or two. On high ROF guns, it is ridiculous. Pvp and PvE.

i got myself a wounded with triple tap, crowd control, and explosive rounds. its a PvE beast

4 commentairesWaiting on a wounded with firefly/outlaw/explosive rounds or full auto Although I prefer my imago with fire/out/Rifled over fatebringer with explosive tbh
