Best perks for PVE scout rifle?
I'm looking to farm some vendor packages for a good scout for PVE, what do you guys think on perks? I currently have a "The Wounded" with Firefly, explosive rounds and some other stuff which is nice, but as I understand the explosive rounds sometimes cancels out the Firefly affect.
What's your idea of a perfect PVE scout?

2 commentairesTriple Tap with Firefly in the Cryptic Dragon archetype would be my preference. Although I have that role on Last Extremity (Chaos Dogma & Jade Rabbit archetype) and it pulls it's own weight.

I have used explosive rounds firefly combo for a long time and yes sometimes the firefly doesn't work as well but explosive rounds staggers enemies, especially cabal with shields. For damage on a boss you will get more damage without explosive rounds and this is where triple tap is great. The hung jury scout was so popular for this. Would recommend picking up the vendor scout angels advocate and try it with reactive reload and outlaw. This is a fun gun to use. Also pick up a cocytus? package from the gunsmith when it is available. Check out the weekly recommendations on the forum here for when the best roll is available. Cryptic Dragon, Hand of Judgement, Tuonela , Badger Ccl , Keystone are some of my favourites. If you do any strikes on Mars use a key to try and drop a treads upon stars. This gun is underrated.

Old vendor Hung Jury or so I thought. I got Cryptic Dragon with Crowd Control/Explosive Rounds/Firefly and see no reason to replace it.

6 commentairesI'm assuming you don't have the Hung Jury SR4. No, I don't mean [i]a[/i] Hung Jury SR4, I mean [i]the[/i] Hung Jury SR4. The vendor one that everyone bought as soon as Y2 came along. My advice is to find a way to go back in time and buy it. [spoiler]Triple Tap, Extended Mag, Firefly, and a hell of a base stability. It was the go-to until strikes got burns and modifiers.[/spoiler]

On my Hunter, goes really well in PvE.

Anything that was on the old Hung Jury, Full Auto, High Cal/Explosive Rounds, things like that.

Usually anything with Triple Tap and Firefly. The old vendor Hung Jury or a Tuonela with the same perks is pretty amazing. I also have a The Wounded from FWC that has Full Auto, Triple Tap, and Firefly.

I have a Badger CCL with Triple Tap, Explosive Rounds, and Grenadier... It is my baby. It could have a better perk than Grenadier, but Triple Tap and Explosive Rounds more than make up for it

Dead orbit all the way. Setting aside Hung Jury SR4 since if you don't already have the y2 vendor version, I got a keystone rolled with zen moment, full auto and triple tap that gives me some good times.

For PvE I generally look for Firefly, Crowd Control, Outlaw, Extended Mag, High Caliber Rounds and Triple Tap. Any combination of those perks and I'm happy. I have a Cryptic Dragon with Crowd Control, High Caliber Rounds and Outlaw and it's great for pretty much everything, including PvP. I'll put it on my Titan if you want to see it.

Triple tap/ stability or range perk /firefly usually is the way I go with a scout. I like explosive rounds for anything Siva related so you don't have to deal with those seeker bombs after a precision kill.

I have one with triple tap, explosive rounds and firefly. Probably be on my Titan right now. Funny thing was that before I tried it I never used to use a scout! Seriously, that sort of roll absolutely wrecks.
