Thorn "quest" drops. Icebreaker "weapon" drops. Just pointing out the thin connection between your comparison.

You are really only pointing out that you don't understand how the drop system works. Wether the reward manifest itself as a weapon, or a means to get a weapon by getting it as a quest is besides the point. The weapon (IB) and the quest for the Thorn are both random rewards from completing specific bounties. The system was used for all exotic quests in y1, where you randomly got a choice between different exotic quests after completing Vanguard bounties

You do realise we didn't have "exotic quests" in year 1? You had an RNG chance of receiving an exotic "bounty" from completing daily bounty tracker bounties. The exotic "bounty" took up a bounty slot. For example at one stage whilst we only had 5 bounty slots I had 4 exotic bounties that needed to be completed. How do you think "There's a slim chance of that legendary turning into IB"? Or do you think that every time an exotic drops it is a "legendary turning into an exotic? It would be more accurate to state that the IB is part of potential weapons in the loot table.

I really can't see wether you are joking, really stupid or just arguing for arguments sake As I recall, there where no such thing as a quest "container" in y1. All bounties and quest would be in the bounty slots. You can call them whatever you want, but the fact is that they where 1 "bounty" that required you to do several individual steps for completion; (A quest) The pink ones you get from Dreadnaught would be the same. They appear in the bounty area, but are by definition, quests... Actually, by using the term RNG in a way that you seem to think it's different from me using the term "slim, random chance" and use that as an argument, makes me think that it's pointless for anyone to have an argument with you. If all loot in the game was true RNG, you could potentially get the same drop each and every time. The Random Number Generator is tweaked to reward drops according to algoritms affected by your personal inventory and previous drops, thereby removing some of the randomness I can't really see how anyone can dumb it down more. You insist on seeing the loot table as items that are pretty much predetermined, even though you more than once got an exotic from a legendary/blue engram or an artifact from an armor engram. Usually you get what the label says, but it's a "slim chance" that it turns into something else. In other words: It's all in the potential loot table, as you put it The bounty is supposed to reward a legandary item at a level according to your light level. As with most drops from the chests, engrams, end game rewards+++ it has a potential (with a statistically slim chance) to drop an exotic item. The term exotic points at it's rarity, with common being at the other end. It's supposed to be an extremely rare drop, or else it wouldnt be "exotic"

Modifié par Deadmennwalking : 12/28/2016 10:02:55 AMAs you stated "I really can't see wether you are joking, really stupid or just arguing for arguments sake" See below: http://au.ign.com/wikis/destiny/Exotic_Bounties "Exotic bounties are special, high-level Destiny Bounties. They reward the player with extremely powerful Exotic gear. Unlike most bounties, exotic bounties are multiple-stage, posing a series of increasingly-difficult challenges to the player before completion. How Exotic Bounties Work Exotic bounties are occasionally revealed and made available to high-level players cashing in standard Bounties. Players are shown a preview of three gold-colored bounties and allowed to select one. Once one is chosen, the other exotic bounties disappear. Exotic bounties require the fulfillment of multiple conditions to complete, often involving PvE and PvP combat. Once a bounty condition is fulfilled, a new condition is revealed. Exotic bounties have several stages, some of which may reveal new and more difficult variants of strike missions. List of Exotic Bounties The following is a list of current exotic bounties. Okay so you accepted that yes you got a bounty in year 1. Well done I must have dumbed it down enough for you. The balance of your ramble does nothing to support your statement that the ice breaker comes from a legendary. So again I must have dumbed it down enough so that you accept that the exotic item is in the sunrise bounty loot table. Great you have learnt something today. Well done.
