I'm not sure if anyone suggested this as there are a few replies;
How about they let us spend the legendary marks on the vendor weapons available and have the set roll for this rotation but have the opportunity to select the gun with an RNG roll as well so atleast you are getting the the gun you want but with some of the grind for legendary marks left intact and not flooding the game with stagnant God rolled weapons each week?

Modifié par RabbitFly : 10/29/2016 5:53:36 PMThat is definitely a worthwhile compromise to consider. I would not have minded that at all. However keep in mind. I never suggested there should have been a set amount of god rolls every restock. My suggestion is that it is randomly rolled. So every week has quite a low chance of actually giving us good rolls. Your version of it does of course not address my secondary reasoning for having the weapons restock, which is giving the meta a dynamic way to change over time. In general one of the main reasons that the meta keeps growing stagnant is because of the stagnant vendors. I mean the vendor roll hawksaw from yesteryear is still very much present in the current meta. So is the Palindrome. The only thing that seems to have a slightly dynamic effect on the meta as it stands is xur, and everyone knows that is more or less superficial and only lasts for a couple of days. It would also have the potential to let weapons that are not usually heavy in the meta to be featured more so if a good roll did come a round, which is also something your compromise does not address. That being said. I am not against that idea at all, and I do think it would have been a great feature to have. It would require the coding of new features however, and we know how bungie is with giving us new stuff for free.

Yep I totally agree with you. Another possibility could be with your original idea but have some variation to how legendary marks are obtained or limited each week, so if in an instance multiple excellent rolls appear there is some decision making on what to pick and make your decision matter a bit more. But again, just an idea and like you said it's difficult to get change!

Possible. To be fair there is already a cap on legendary marks, but I get what you are saying. It is easy for people that play a lot to get a ton of marks. However it already has the potential to make the choice hard for a lot of players if more than 2 desirable rolls comes around the same week. However I feel that limiting it more will just make it harder for the more casual players to get access to said weapons. Which is also why I would argue that weekly caps and lockout timers is a double edged sword. To put it in another way. I understand the design philosophy behind such measures. Usually it is to create a more even playing field between the hardcore and the casuals. However it very often creates an even bigger gap between the two. I am still very open to changing the way legendary marks work, however it would probably need a complete redesign in that case. The way I see it. Restocking vendors wont have any real impact on balance anyways. All of these weapons are already available in the game. It would only give us another avenue to get a decent roll, still as reliant on RNG. And also at the same time create a place for us to sink our legendary marks.

Yep, I definitely understand! On another note, thinking about it this might be what they tried to do with the gun smith just on a tiny scale. Either way it proves the potential is there for a weekly refresh as they already do it for multiple things e.g. new artifacts and shiro class items
