It always said you still had to do the Gjallarhorn quest. Your sense of entitlement is showing.

I'm not entitled, I'm just stating what the commercials said. In very small writing at the bottom of the screen, they mention the quest. The rest of the commercial, including the voice over and animations and all that, imply you'd be getting it as soon as you got the DLC. I'm not entitled, in fact i thought giving it away for money was wrong, but that's what they said. Bungie was being intentionally misleading to trick people into spending money, and that's not right.

I don't even want the gun free, I always disagreed with giving it away for free, I just want them to be honest about what they're selling without having to dig through an ad campaign full of lies. No, you didn't pay attention. That's not their fault. The vast majority seems to know that you have to do a quest, so you're the problem. Cry about it more.

The vast majority of who? People on the forum? Of course they do. But the vast majority of everybody didn't know. Go back and watch the commercial that aired on TV to millions of people and you'll see they were very unclear and were trying to give the impression you'd get it without a quest. They were intentionally misleading and deceitful and I'm not giving them a pass like all the Bungie fanboys want to.

No, it just sounds like you're looking for a reason to bitch. Look at the media literally anywhere else and you'll see that it requires quest completion. Is the tv ad the first place you saw the preorder bonus? Because it was announced months prior in many other places.
