With all this attention on the Owl Sector and the virus that is currently spreading among our Guardians, I feel there is something even more important needs to be addressed. It's something that every single Guardian has ignored until now. Up until this point, every player has believed that this was a straight forward game: you shoot, you loot, and you toot your Sparrow horn in victory. We were all horribly mistaken. The Destiny universe is not one-sided. We Guardians are not allowed to do whatever we want, whenever we want, without consequences.
The first indicator was a Grimoire card--something easily overlooked. In the Cabal 4 Ghost Fragment, the transcript states "Guardians foraging for equipment, dancing, and performing acrobatics with light vehicles". Meaning, the statement describes how we search for loot, dance when we want, and perform tricks on our Sparrows. The Cabal were watching us and actively reported our behavior as players. Might I remind you that the Grimoire, as of now, are the main source of lore for Destiny. This means that the behavior we show in-game has permanently affected the lore of the game.
As I've suggested, this isn't the only indicator either. In the new website that is tracking the spread of the virus that is currently affecting Guardians, under the "Brilliance 3.2" tab of records, section "OS-I6", one of the persons talking say "They're Guardians, Quist. Means the Light has cooked their brains. Haven't you seen them dancing in the Plaza, for no reason, with no music at all?" Again, our behaviors, such as randomly dancing in the Tower, have affected the lore of the game but this time our actions were judged by a character. Negatively, at that. In fact, it could be surmised that our behavior directly affected the handling of the outbreak.
If our actions, as seemingly harmless as they seem, have a direct effect on the world that we are apart of, should we not be more mindful of them? Who's to say that the effects will stop there? What if using items such as Red Death, Thorn, or either of the Ahamkara armor pieces (all of which are heavily scorned by the Vanguard) bring about negative changes to the Tower, such as alienation, increased prices at vendors, less rewards from activities, or even new enemies to be brought upon the Light?
What I'm trying to warn everyone about is this: our actions have consequences. Not only that, but these are permanent effects. They are chiseled into the lore of the Destiny universe. We must be mindful of our actions from here onward. Even small things such as the items we use or actions we make may have enormous influence on the future of Destiny. I encourage everyone to read up on the Grimoire, learn the story of Destiny, and behave accordingly. This is no longer a game. This is our game.

My god, I never noticed this.

Modifié par Skyrender6 : 9/17/2016 3:05:16 PMLike world tendency adjustments in Demon's Souls? God that would be amazing. For those who have never played it, Demon's Souls had a system where the worlds you went to were changed based on how many bosses were killed and how many times you died while in living form. When a world reaches full dark tendency the enemies would be stronger, and in full light tendency they would be weaker. Specific things would happen too, like certain NPCs appearing and special areas opening up. And since it was an online game, the tendency would be affected by the entire online population, not just yourself. It was a great mechanic and it would be incredible if it were incorporated into Destiny as well.

Bungie has enough time making ONE story/timeline lmao. Whatever is going to happen was always what was going to happen. Your actions mean nothing. Pre order now and get an iron Gjallarwing sparrow.

TL;DR BUMP ANYWAY CAUSE GOOD

1 commentaireIf you think I'm going to stop rocket sliding into every vendor in the tower for no apparent reason... I. Will. Not.

I wonder what the cabal think of tea bagging?
-
OP is right, stay off my -blam!-ing table. You got any idea how hard it is to get footprints out of a map that old?

ATTN: You are officially prohibited from voluntary consumption of all Rockstar and Monster energy products. Any further use of these caustic liquids will result in your immediate removal from Destiny online servers. Regards, Guardian Safety Council

Remember how we killed Crota, the consequence of that is that Oryx came around and screwed everyone up. What happened after that? We beat his ass twice, beat his taken, beat his enemies and those trying to take his place and got some sweet loot because of it. BRING ON THE NEXT CONSEQUENCE! I WANT MORE LOOT!

18 commentairesModifié par S0LEPHaSR : 9/17/2016 7:28:16 AMin the immortal words of Cayde 6 " Aw hell, just shoot it!" We have already achieved well more than almost any of the other glorified guardians previous to us. Let them judge, we are on a pedestal/mantle that none other could have possibly reached, all without a traveller. BRING ON THE CONSEQUENCES, WE WILL KILL THOSE TOO!

i think ur brain is a little too cooked on that dank light rn man

Dude your spinfoil hat can only do so much.... :/
-
This dudes brain really did get cooked by the light... He sees a couple inside jokes put in by the Devs about us dancing and warns us "hey be careful what weapons you use and don't teabag and don't..." What a guy this OP is... Lol
-
I see no mention of guardian bodies falling from the tower solely because they know their ghost will revive them...I'm not praising the light enough I say!
-
Be more careful? Lol no *dances on more cabal corpses*
-
Nah, I'll just corrupt everything and do whatever I want.

You know, Cabal 4 is probably my favorite Card. Why? Because it's pretty funny to see the Cabal react to the jackass way we play. Dancing? Acrobatics? Elaborate totem rocket weapons? It's ridiculous. I also got a good chuckle out of the "cooked their brains" line and Cayde's line about Guardians standing on his table when they talk to him. Emotes, Sparrow Horns, recreational tower jumping, and everything in between is all part of the game, but ultimately, it's just to showcase how goofball we all are, and the way Bungie makes fun of it in the lore is hilarious. If Bungie was going to penalize us in-game for using "restricted" Exotics, they would've done it by now. And if you think that we're going to have to pay more for gear if we jump off the Tower one too many times, I think you're going a little too deep.

2 commentairesWell I definately think people who play need to think about this new tech infection that has recently come to light. People are blinded by the fact that it gives XP buffs but don't actually question what may occur later on...

Well I haven't seen them say anything about repeatedly crouching on another guardian's dead body or on an NPC who just gave a crap reward so....
DANCE ON
