EDIT: flinch isn't even as bad as we all thought it was going to be, sniping is still just as easy, it's a sad sad day when an auto with high caliber rounds can't cause enough flinch to make a sniper rifle inaccurate stay frosty out there
it's all over the place.. Everyone is upset about the change to snipers (most notably, the added flinch)
Personally, I love the change. It creates a much bigger skill gap. We used to get scared coming around a corner and some asshole is just crouched hardscoping with a glare (probably been there for 2 mintues). Now? We get excited because our primary will keep them at bay.. now if they happen to get a headshot, it was a lucky mishap (or they are really good) can't get mad at that..
Being honest. The added flinch was much needed. Making it very hard to hit previously easy shots.
I just find it funny that a lot of people are contemplating quiting sniping or destiny altogether because the easy sniping "fun" factor is gone.. perfect exapmle of all the sheep that play this game and need the "Meta" to compete
Thoughts? Opinions?
Edit: a lot of people didn't like the damage nerf. But it makes sense. Only the highest impact snipers (if any) should be able to one shot someone out of a super.

Love the flinch. It was well over due . Wish the damage would have remained though
-
Don't mind the change at all~
-
I will still use a sniper for trials and a hand cannon
-
Just use an Eirene...problem solved.

5 commentairesI like how in DOOM you have to hard scoop for so long before it's a one shot to the head. No quick scooping 1 shot kills, the gun never swayed either.
-
3 commentairesI unfortunately still get headshot sniped after placing shots into them to the point where I think I'm going to kill them but end with a snipe shot to my head or two to the body. I don't know how these people still managed to pull that off.
-
I was with you like wow this guy makes some great points then you said sheep and meta and *facepalm*

Modifié par Dona : 9/13/2016 4:43:55 PMThe key is to drag scope on a shorter distance. Make sure you're aiming extremely close to the head proximity. Stop the habbit of constantly scoping and hard scoping, use primary and only scope if you know where they are, but never scope when they are shooting at you (in the exception if your health is extremely low and youre stuck between a rock and a hard place) cos chances are you will lose the gunfight unless you get one of those lucky shots.

2 commentairesEvery 1k yard streamer are crying so much right now, especially since that got a damage nerf.
-
3 commentairesI didn't think the impact nerd was necessary, however I agree with the flinch increase and lower aim assist values.
-
I only use No Land Beyond in the Crucible when sniping. I don't think it was effected.
-
I barely notice a change.
-
never been good at sniping but i'm gonna do it anyway
-
Well I suck at shotgunning so I'm going to have to stay with sniping I suppose.
-
3 commentairesThis means either more shotguns or more fusion rifles
-
It's not just the flinch it's the fact that roaming supers are just way too good now

1 commentaireIn my opinion I think youtubers are starting to alter the destiny community. Think about all the destiny youtubers, like dato, moreconsole, byf, true vanguard. Those are huge channels that play destiny and lots, and I mean lots of the destiny community watches them. For example if dato complained about how the sniper nerf was to much all those people will be like, " OMG Dato is a huge youtuber with a ton of subscribers he must definitely be right' And then everyone that watched Datos video will go on the forums and complain. That's what I think at least. I mean have you seen the uproar that triple wrecks video did.

Modifié par FROST3475 : 9/13/2016 1:17:44 PMWas never good at sniping. Only used a sniper before the patch because I had a reliable UR(let the hate flow). Got a few good shots that others might consider average, but to me, I got lucky with every headshot I managed to get and I have a Longbow with great rolls
-
I like all the changes as well, and that's coming from someone that enjoys sniping. People say the damage nerf wasn't needed, but I definitely believe it was. The longbow had everything, a ton of damage, the ability to shut down supers, and a massive aim assist. Why would you even use a Weyloran's march or weaker impact of you could use a longbow? That's the exact question no game developer wants to hear.

Agreed. Bump

3 commentairesI'm fine with everything but the damage nerf.

6 commentairesIts not that big of deal to year 1 players. Most people ran shottys with OP felwinters, OP matadors, or OP party crashers especially when blink and arcbolt/firebolt grenades were extremely strong. Its pretty funny seeing year 2 players or anyone in general complain about shottys in the current game state.

1 commentaireYou know what takes real skill? Running through 100 metres of rose bush (year 1 crucible) without getting hit by a thorn:)
-
Im actually trying to get back to my god tier status in the crucible and i want to get good with shotguns again. Its rewarding getting the one shot kill.

Modifié par Kovak_Zero : 9/13/2016 9:33:01 AMSomething was needed to counter snipers in this game. I still find it very easy to do so. The fact that there is zero bullet drop (because you don't fire "real bullets") means that you hit what you aim at, for the most part. A simple flinch at least causes snipers to compensate in some form. I know I find it more challenging and fun but that's just my opinion.

1 commentaireI hope they do quit. In fact, i hope they jump off a cliff... A small cliff..
