Who let the unicorns in?
After getting wrecked in the crucible in year one (didn't play it much/hated using thorn) to the point that my K/D was ruined, I decided around the time of the April update to git gud.
I have brought my K/D up from a .83, and today finally hit a 1.00
It's taken a long time to do. Hours and hours in the crucible. I had 4 months to fix over a years worth of damage. So many clutch plays, kill streaks, multi kills. And i finally did it.
[spoiler]I know that a lot of people won't care, or will bash me and say that I'm bad. It just feels good to finally have a positive K/D [/spoiler]

I hear you man it's a tough uphill battle. In year one I had roughly a 0.45 and now I'm up to a 1.24 and I can't wait to see where I end up in the future

Good work, it took me nearly a year to get mine to 1.00. I remember being happy to get the 0.4 kd minimum per game so that I could complete the thorn questline. I pretty much play off a 1.2-1.3 now but my actual kd is 1.1. I'll be stuck on that forever as It now takes thousands and thousands of kills to even nudge up my total a tiny bit.

Took me months as well. Year 1, I was in the hole by almost 5k kills on my warlock and I had a .6 KD. It's now over a 1.1...I'm proud of it

My kd is stuck at a .8 on my main year one hunter but I started some new characters to boost it(I have like 2500 more deaths than kills) lol good for u man

5 commentairesI had to do the same damn thing you just did starting back in November. I came to Destiny from games like Skyrim and had piss poor crucible skills. After lots of playing I went from right about where you started to 1.0 and then kept going. Good on you man, don't listen to any of these shitbags that knock you.

1 commentaireIf you really want to know your kd make another account for destiny or restart a a character. Then you'll see what it really is. My hunters is .90 but my warlock is at 1.11 after I restarted it.

Well SBMM will make K/D and W/L to 1.0 for everyone. So as long as we play during the normal time or during PvP event like IB or weekly fun...Our K/D will go toward to 1.0 This is explain why those has K/D higher than 1.0 crying because sweaty games. They get matched with their own skill level....no more pub stomping. I feel that I have fun playing PvP outside IB now..except Trials. SBMM put everyone can have fun in PvP. I personaly don't care about my K/D...I just play for fun.

I know the grind, it's hard but you feel accomplished. edit: as a side note, use QuickDraw on that longbow ;). Snapshot has nearly no effect now, and QuickDraw increases equip AND zoom in time.

On my way. Warlock has been here since day 1. For the longest time it had a .6 ish kd (I was utter trash) I then went and spent a summer playing CoD, came back and have been playing much better since. Now have a .95 and rising.

Congrats. I started out around 1.2 but after numerous IB's and Crucible quests, I'm down to a 1.03.

Congrats! I know the feeling, just did the same thing last month with my Warlock, from somewhere in the 0.6 - 0.7 range at the end of year one. Still have bad games from time to time, but to go up that much, especially with the new match making methods, this is a moment of triumph in my book. Well Done!
