You're the member of the fireteam that nobody wants. I swear, I can't even fathom as to WHY somebody would purposely start a Heroic strike and yet, they act like jerks and don't do anything except hang in the back of the area without providing any assistance whatsoever. (Basically going AFK "on purpose" every 2 minutes or not reviving a teammate for helping you.)
Save your slot for somebody who actually gives a sh*t about teamwork. Your phone or whatever the hell is stopping you from playing, should have been done BEFORE you start playing Destiny. If you are AWARE that you are about to embark into a Heroic strike or anything for that reason, then you should understand why it is so damn infuriating to be teamed up with a pair of morons that won't even contribute a single kill to the activity, leading to a 1 HOUR OR LONGER activity...
Yes, I'm mad. I am salty. But I'm sure some of you can relate.
And I'm all for priorities first. That's fine, but if you know you need to get your priorities finished first, then you shouldn't be on Destiny in the first place. You'll only hinder those whom had to be teamed up with you and further elongate what we're doing.
Edit: As far as children go, if you have a child in need of assistance, then yes, go help your child in need. Please do not confuse a situation such as that with what I have depicted about thus far.
This post is mainly pointed towards those whom purposely go AFK from the start and/or reap the rewards without putting forth any effort to help your fireteam destroy a boss in any activity except maybe shooting the boss a couple times per minute to ensure that they get the loot, which is just downright frustrating for the others.
I don't need to be carried, but I do need to have a fireteam. I'm a team player and I put my teammates first before anything else when it comes to Heroic strikes.
Edit: Yes, I COULD solo the strike, or we as a team, can blow through like 5 or more in less than an hour. As for the solo players, feel free to solo the Strikes by yourself and be stubborn, but always know that I'm right next to you whether you like it or not. Because I will not be one of "those" players that decides to be a first class scumbag that only progresses through Destiny by mooching off of others. Be a respectful player.
Think about that by the next time you look at your characters and realize that you're "one of those players"...^^^
Simply stated, the point to all of this was to further discuss the problem that is taking advantage of those who want to contribute to your fireteam in a positive way.
If somebody is trying their best to further support you, regardless of whether you are a solo player or not, you should consider helping them. For example: If somebody were to die, the solo player/purposely AFK player will not take any regard to revive them. Especially if they're new players. I'm not like that and yet, I see that thing happen all of the time. You're basically giving the new Guardians a reason to believe that every player in Destiny who is at a considerably high level, to be like that. That doesn't reflect very well on the community and it certainly shows that you don't care about anybody else except for yourself...
Personally, I want to see those who are new to Destiny or those who seek excitement in Destiny, to be able to have the best experience that they can possibly receive. I just don't understand the mentality of wanting to disregard your fellow teammates.
Edit: I wouldn't have thought that this post would spark a lot of conversation. Thank you so much, my fellow players. See y'all in the Plaguelands...!
Note: I've had to edit this a lot to further elaborate what I meant without sounding like a jerk myself so, please excuse the amount of editing. I don't like giving off the wrong signals. Thanks.
Another note of interest: Feel free to add me if you'd like to. I'm sure it will benefit us both, as I will happily take up an offer from any of you whom would like to have a good strike run together. =)
GT is "The_Maul117" on PS4. Cheers.

Modifié par bobIin the goblin : 6/24/2016 8:36:28 AMi can understand leaving people though, i normally revive anyone that isn't half a strike away but of course there are thos people that kill all of the enemies in the restorative mind strike and those are also the ones i ignore so i can get to the boss room and spawn them in. i play my strikes for easy rep and a bit of fun while getting the rep, which means i'll try to blast through strikes as fast as possible *fluffs away*
-
Not to mention those idiots, that only enter strikes to constantly kill you with their sparrows whenever they can while you are busy defending yourself...

6 commentairesModifié par JimmyDaConvict : 6/24/2016 6:24:48 AMIf you suck and die 40 seconds in, I will be more than happy to find another bunch of randoms. If it's a strike I'm sick of because it's the 3rd time in 3 games... boo hoo for you. Also people are allowed to do as they please. No one has to make you happy or abide by your wish list of rules. They paid for the game and they can play their way. If people don't get banned for cheating with unlimited supers in the crucible, don't be the fool that thinks it's going to happen to the 40 people who play the strike Playlist still. Almost forgot, it's almost been 2 years. There is like 6 strikes and most of them are the same damn ones from 2 years ago.... if you can't solo it, take the game back to gamestop and get your .37 cents.

Ughh... You tell me. AFKing teammates or teammates that purposely die all the time to get the strike exclusive loot... Another bad thing is that since we got modifiers besides Fresh Troops, not many of the teammates I play with use the right loadouts... EX: Arc burn for the playlist, but the teammates doesn't have much arc weapons or using arc subclasses.

2 commentairesSo many words for so little care. People can play how they'd like. Just stfu and deal with it.

I feel ya mate. It happens everytime and I won't leave because I don't want to lose my streak
-
I agree, I find myself soloing most of the strikes. Also, people need to read the modifiers
-
I agree with you 100 percent my man🤔!
-
I totally agree with you :).
-
That drives me insane. Ill just hit them until they move or send a message

For me it's frustrating when they aren't using the burn modifier to their advantage. It's to the point where I sometimes see people who don't use their grenades at all. Heroic strikes used to take forever and now you can run through them quickly and still have fun. Mowing down bosses and captains with zhalo supercell is the most fun I've had on strikes in a long time. Not everyone might have it but I'm sure you have a heavy and special weapon with arc burn. It makes it fun and quick and your vanguard and faction rep raise pretty quickly too.
-
Yes it is frustrating I wait to see if the other two are going to move at the start and play Otherwise I bail to get another team
-
Yea it's frustrating, there's always that one person who stands at spawn for a good 5 min.

14 commentaires1 hour? Wtf, you can solo heroics in like 15 minutes with arc modifier dude. Chill the -blam!- out,
