You're the member of the fireteam that nobody wants. I swear, I can't even fathom as to WHY somebody would purposely start a Heroic strike and yet, they act like jerks and don't do anything except hang in the back of the area without providing any assistance whatsoever. (Basically going AFK "on purpose" every 2 minutes or not reviving a teammate for helping you.)
Save your slot for somebody who actually gives a sh*t about teamwork. Your phone or whatever the hell is stopping you from playing, should have been done BEFORE you start playing Destiny. If you are AWARE that you are about to embark into a Heroic strike or anything for that reason, then you should understand why it is so damn infuriating to be teamed up with a pair of morons that won't even contribute a single kill to the activity, leading to a 1 HOUR OR LONGER activity...
Yes, I'm mad. I am salty. But I'm sure some of you can relate.
And I'm all for priorities first. That's fine, but if you know you need to get your priorities finished first, then you shouldn't be on Destiny in the first place. You'll only hinder those whom had to be teamed up with you and further elongate what we're doing.
Edit: As far as children go, if you have a child in need of assistance, then yes, go help your child in need. Please do not confuse a situation such as that with what I have depicted about thus far.
This post is mainly pointed towards those whom purposely go AFK from the start and/or reap the rewards without putting forth any effort to help your fireteam destroy a boss in any activity except maybe shooting the boss a couple times per minute to ensure that they get the loot, which is just downright frustrating for the others.
I don't need to be carried, but I do need to have a fireteam. I'm a team player and I put my teammates first before anything else when it comes to Heroic strikes.
Edit: Yes, I COULD solo the strike, or we as a team, can blow through like 5 or more in less than an hour. As for the solo players, feel free to solo the Strikes by yourself and be stubborn, but always know that I'm right next to you whether you like it or not. Because I will not be one of "those" players that decides to be a first class scumbag that only progresses through Destiny by mooching off of others. Be a respectful player.
Think about that by the next time you look at your characters and realize that you're "one of those players"...^^^
Simply stated, the point to all of this was to further discuss the problem that is taking advantage of those who want to contribute to your fireteam in a positive way.
If somebody is trying their best to further support you, regardless of whether you are a solo player or not, you should consider helping them. For example: If somebody were to die, the solo player/purposely AFK player will not take any regard to revive them. Especially if they're new players. I'm not like that and yet, I see that thing happen all of the time. You're basically giving the new Guardians a reason to believe that every player in Destiny who is at a considerably high level, to be like that. That doesn't reflect very well on the community and it certainly shows that you don't care about anybody else except for yourself...
Personally, I want to see those who are new to Destiny or those who seek excitement in Destiny, to be able to have the best experience that they can possibly receive. I just don't understand the mentality of wanting to disregard your fellow teammates.
Edit: I wouldn't have thought that this post would spark a lot of conversation. Thank you so much, my fellow players. See y'all in the Plaguelands...!
Note: I've had to edit this a lot to further elaborate what I meant without sounding like a jerk myself so, please excuse the amount of editing. I don't like giving off the wrong signals. Thanks.
Another note of interest: Feel free to add me if you'd like to. I'm sure it will benefit us both, as I will happily take up an offer from any of you whom would like to have a good strike run together. =)
GT is "The_Maul117" on PS4. Cheers.

I was making some microwave Mac n Cheese and started a strike while removing it from the microwave and got a message. The guy called me an asshole and talked about how I should kill myself for not helping with a strike at all and being AFK the whole time. I basically joined into the boss fight and he killed the boss a second after I spawned into the room (it was SABER). I got nothing good either. I told him I literally just joined in as he beat it and never heard back. Hopefully, he's reflecting on what he said.

Raid matchmaking pls

1 commentaireIm just sick of people that refuse to revive. And force wipes
-
1 commentaireIts annoying but I can't tell people how to live their lives. If something comes up while they're gaming then that's out of my hands.
-
1 commentaireThey should have a kick system, 20 seconds of afk from porting in. And you can vote for afk boots like in halo and other games
-
4 commentairesWow, people still run strikes?
-
1 commentaireYeah I'm not reading all of that text.
-
4 commentairesOh well play a different game and move on
-
What you need is Wolf Pack Rounds
-
2 commentairesHuh, I had no idea you took level 260 strikes so seriously. Maybe you should lighten up. Maybe you shouldn't have a hobby that causes you this much stress. Or, maybe you should just quit whining. I will take or make a phone call whenever I want to. This game comes before nothing. Get over it.

About an hour ago had a player sit down during Darkblade. He would snipe one enemy and sit back down. He did it all the way to end fight. He ended up dying and didn't respawn.
-
I feel you and many others do. You will have a bunch of assholes and douchebags that defend the behavior or say, "oh, just solo it, it's ok man, don't take it so serious". Yea, -blam!- them as well. It's bullshit and everyone that experiences it knows it.

Modifié par GTLargo21 : 6/25/2016 8:14:58 PMMeh. I got over those lazy asses in vanilla. I've run countless strikes practically solo because of either being ditched by randoms or them just standing there until they lag out. In the end, it only improved my solo game to the point where it became a regular thing to solo Nightfalls. (back when you were still sent to orbit for failing) By that point, if I knew a friend who was slightly lower light for the nightfall, I would invite them before killing the boss (particularly Phogoth or Sepiks) in hopes that they would get that exotic they always wanted or that rarely dropped for anyone. (you know how it works... the people who don't do anything or joined at the end get the highest rewards) It's a game man. Let the lazy asses be lazy and just have fun.
when the rewards for Nightfall became utter garbage and you were no longer sent to orbit for failure, I stopped going solo for the Nightfall since it was no longer worth the effort... even if it did take less of it.
-
I still don't think a lot of people know there are modifiers like the nightfall. Like this week it's arc burn. I understand not everybody has Zhalo, but there's no reason to be running a solar launcher or a void sniper with arc burn active. People should have plenty of options when it comes to arc weaponry. I was running Heroics for the DO exotic class item quest the other day. Hooked up with 2 randoms and we killed the first five strikes. We just clicked, didn't even have mics. I took a break to grab a bite and the next 3 strikes were pure misery because of people who either didn't know the mechanics or couldn't stay alive for more than five seconds.
-
Why do heroic strike when it's highly unrewarding enough? P.s. I'm not an AFK'er
-
Of course my soulmate plays on sony! Damn it! What's left of my friends that still play Destiny main PvP so I put up with this shit all the time!
but it's like ecstasy when you find 2 randoms and become a strike completion speed demon squad ;)
-
When I play, I'll read a book while it's loading and when I hear the audio cue from my headset that we are flying in, I put the book down to play
-
Had to spend a hour and eighteen minutes helping two Light Level 280s get through the Fallen S.A.B.E.R. Strike.
-
How can you not solo any of the strikes when catapult and arc burn are on! I understand your frustration, truly i do, but come on.
-
I just play with friends on reset day to finish them
-
4 commentairesDid you know? People used to cry that this would happen if they put matchmaking on heroic strikes.

1 commentaireHoly -blam!- i didn't read this

12 commentairesThere should be a vote to kick option for the lazy scrubs that run past all the enemies too.
