On a couple of other forum post we discussed if the glimmer earning in destiny was not working correctly.
Some people said its working fine and others said that not all of the glimmer you earn will show up on the indicator.
Well, the proof is in the video.
At the beginning of the video I have 6540 glimmer just as the enemy moves against each other.
I keep earning glimmer till the indicator gets to 148 and then it stops suddenly. It doesn't pick back up till after I die and come back. At the end of the video I have 7066 glimmer. I made a whole 526 glimmer for that effort.
I didn't use a consumable. I only used my ghost that draws glimmer from hive. But I have tested this method with a consumable active also and its the same problem. When the glimmer indicator doesn't say anything. Your not earning glimmer.
I use to do this and could easily make 2 to 4K glimmer. But for what ever reason when you start to earn a lot of glimmer really fast? It just cuts off.
This happens everywhere in the game where the enemies move against each other and also has happened on public events like defeat extraction crews. You earn it too fast and the glimmer indicator quits working and no more glimmer for a while.
Wish someone from Bungie would see whats up with this. Is it a bad glitch or is there a cap on glimmer earning in a crowd of ads?

2 commentairesGlimmer is easy to get. Just put Hunter Bounty on your ghost ;)
-
Take a toothpick and put it between your big toe and the next one then smash it on a wall. That should make glimmer pop faster.
-
10 commentairesTurning in glimglam to the cryptarch is also wonky. Let's say you have 2 types of items worth 200 glimmer and you turn in the second one first. You will only get 200 glimmer no matter how many of those items you have, and then the first item will be discarded. You could have 1,000 glimmers worth and only get 200. This also happens if you turn them in too fast. This is especially a problem with Master Ives (that bastard). He doesn't care how many items you have. You're getting 200 and that's it.

Just run patrols, you'll be max glimmer in an hour

1 commentaireDude I'm sorry, I know I look like an ass for saying this but holy shit your aim is bad. It was bugging me throughout the whole video. Once again, sorry for being an ass but I couldn't hold it back any longer.
-
I'm constantly maxed out with glimmer just from doing my dailies and bounties. I also stack those glimmer bonuses in my vault for later.
-
1 commentaireGlimmer Is weird. I decided to grind some poe 28 for some old weapons but I came out with an extra 10k glimmer, that usually takes me days to get
-
2 commentairesIt's really stupid. How ever glimmer is rarely used in the first place. It's one of the only currencies that has been in place since vanilla but with each dlc, it has been made less and less relevant.
-
1 commentaireBump for later. This is completely stupid if it's true
-
It was done to prevent glimmer farming so people could not max out glimmer fast or easy to buy things quickly. They do not want you to have it easy or fast in getting things in the game. If you did you would realize there is not much worth doing once you have enough of anything and no longer need it.
-
You can literally sit in the cave they spawn in with arc blade and the perk that extends arc blade on kills and showstop till the cows come home. They adjusted this for whatever reason.

Bump 4 later
-
The Cabal in the ship with stormtrance with supply code activated, I got 745 glimmer.
-
1 commentaireI was lucky to get ghosts from C.O.E. for all the different enemy's and so far no problems collecting glimmer. So far.
-
5 commentairesI have 100k glimmer in my vault. I didn't know it so was so hard for other people
-
-
1 commentaireI wonder if this was a secret update to stop glimmer farming, because it happens too consistently for it to be a glitch. If so, -blam!- you Bungie.
-
I have noticed the same. It is extremely frustrating when I try to glimmer farm
-
I don't notice I dismantle so much and use what ghost I have for the majority of what's in the strike or daily story I'll keep an eye on it I don't want to get ripped off for those massacres anymore if I am

6 commentairesThey made it to where you can't farm those events anymore like you could with the loot cave. If you kill the hive that spawn in the caves on the dreadnaught really fast, you will stop getting XP, glimmer, or a chance at engrams for the duration of the the event. UNLESS you back away for about 20 seconds. Then that chance returns until you go on another killing spree. The only thing you can get from these things are any glimmer consumables(black wax idols, silken codex) from killing yellow bars if you can get them to spawn. And that's not guaranteed. The thing that annoys me is that there is a cooldown on glimmer! So let's say you kill the fallen in the first room of the omnigul strike really fast with supers and rockets. You most likely won't receive any glimmer from killing the fallen in the next area. The glimmer consumables don't stack if your ghost gives you glimmer for killing a certain enemy. Even that had a cooldown even tho it lasts for 10 mins. This is one of the least talked about issue in this game that's a middle finger to its players.
-
Who cares? It's not like we need glimmer, or that it is particularly hard to come by anyways. If this is an issue, DON'T FARM ONE CAVE, move on. It's more fun that way too.
-
I believe they nerfed it back in the 2.0 update
-
-
It happens the same if you use a consumable on a strike or on patrol, after about 150 collected it stops
-
Bump, this has been happening to me too.
