Bungie it is unacceptable that you make games so one sided with this stupid matching system. Average players cannot compete against these die hard players. It is not fun playing and loses 5 rounds straight.
Thisbisnt a matter of not being good enough and complaint about it. This is an argument that there should be different brackets people compete in. The potential to have this as a great tournament is there but the way it is, doesn't make it good for anyone but a few people.
Let's not forget to mention the lag. You get 5 to 6 wins and all opponents are laggy.
Matchmaking, should be pairing you up with like skilled players. Halo had this feature and from what I hear it was great and competitive.
I WANT COMPETITION!
I have been in many matches where I am on both sides of the one side swing. I've dominated other teams 5-0 and lost 0-5. These both aren't fun or competitive. So why do we have this system?
Year one had a great trials system, it was random and it worked great and allowed everyone a chance to go flawless. Now less than 5% of players will ever go flawless, And it is a shame. It's a shame bungie. You had such potential with this mode and you cater to a few elite players who don't want to actually compete against one another. I want to compete against someone of my skill level, because I have and it's good old fashioned fun and when I win I feel rewarded. I dont feel rewarded for dominating someone else and making them frustrated. I wouldn't want a chest at the lighthouse if it meant I didn't fight people equal to my skills.
I'm a pretty decent player, but because I choose to not investing hundreds of dollars into my PS4 to win, doesn't mean I should have to face people who do, I have a life outside gaming. Let me face people like that in every match and that would be the greatest game experience I've ever had.
Edit: You guys do realize that what I suggest would actually make going flawless harder, even matches mean every match is even, not one sided. Every match would mean fighting as hard as you can fight.
Edit 2: Example match up.
Elitist vs Elitist
Winner
Winner
Elitist vs Elitist
Average players Vs Average players
Winner
Winner
Average playesr Vs Average players.
I estimate that 90% of all games in a system like this one would finish as 4-5 loss or win. This would be a hard system to win in, however it would make it a fair system with no one sided matches.
By all means, I don't believe I am saying ret rid of matching based on score cards, just add a bracket in which players compete in.

There are easy modes for the raids and then a hard mode. Trials bounties are your easy mode. The Lighthouse is hard mode. Think of it that way. Trials is the endgame for PvP. It's fine how it is.

Modifié par WBlack6 : 5/9/2016 1:43:32 PMBtw you should make your post clearer. "Year one had a great trials system." "Matchmaking should be pairing you up against like skilled players." Which one do you want then? Also "investing hundreds of dollars into your ps4 to win"? What? What are you talking about?

No. Just no.

I agree, look at this https://youtu.be/rQfRP1k-AK0

Modifié par Dona : 5/9/2016 1:15:25 PMI know I can go flawless with a good team :) it's still very tough tho. I enjoy the competitiveness, but not the lags.. Number 6-9 games are the most laggy. Maybe that's why pple are finding it very sweaty and difficult to even compete. And its not that they're anymore skilled really sometimes, but bc the lag is on their side.
-
I dont know what your on about, I've had some seriously competitive games this week. Down to a super in the last second or a lucky pick. Maybe the first two games on a card was easy but after that you could feel it get tougher
-
I get wrecked too :p but i suck at it haha

Who's to say that Average players become elitist? Who's to say Elitists aren't put in the average player bracket? This system is highly flawed.

3 commentairesTrials is not for casuals.

So basically you want things to be easier for yourself and harder for those better than you?

Modifié par GreenBeret : 5/9/2016 8:13:39 AMYour Idea isnt that bad, but there is a real problem.. In your system some team with, let´s say, 800 Elo or 0.5 Trials K/D Plays only against their skill level and do flawless every weekend.. And then there is some team like me, 1,5 Trials K/D 1600 Elo playing against ppl on my skill level and can´t go flawless anymore.. because others are bit better.. This not competitive.. This is only good for them who should´t ever reach the lighthouse In my Opinion the actual trials matchmaking is great. Its like a tournament.. Win against someone with same winstreak or get a new ticket..

Went flawless year 1, have no desire to touch trials again other than bounties. You can predict the loadouts based on the map that is up. Right now it's nearly always DoP/TLW + 1KYS + Launcher Plus we all know that the 'highly skilled' players love to hard scope choke points on small maps.

SBMM is the aids of Destiny. We are tired of lag. We are tired of red bar gods. We are tired of every game being a sweat fest. We are tired of being shot around corners. Stop manipulating the system. Stop protecting noobs. Stop lying. Just stop. We are all sick to death of you dragging your feet while we suffer. Everyone. Down vote this thread to hell to send those "weasels" at Bungie a clear message. No SBMM!

2 commentairesYou're asking it to be more balanced, when going off your card wins is balanced. It matches you against people of similar card, if you're 5-0 it'll try to match you with 5-0 maybe 4-0 maybe 6-1 players. This is as balanced as it can get without becoming skill based matchmaking

There appears to be something up for me this week. Almost every game no matter where in the card we are has been either sweaty as hell or against players way beyond my skill. Or terrible connections. The only "easy" games have been against better teams stat wise but where we played really well and clutched a few rounds to make a 5-1 or 5-0 that could have easily gone the other way. It was actually a bit better last night, just very tough games which we mostly lost but played well (by our standard) and learned from. Whatever the reason, have gone from relatively easily getting 7 or 8 with mercy still intact for the last month or more, including when this map was last up when I was doing so well I thought it might have been my first flawless (sadly not but got there a week or so later) to pretty much not being able to get past 5 wins. I haven't exactly ground it out but I have done bounties on all characters, so what's that about 6 cards with those scores, not one better than essentially 3 wins, 2 losses. Anyway. If it stays like it was last night (hard but mostly fair) then I'll just have to adjust my expectations of getting at least close to one flawless a week. If it's like it was over the rest of the weekend I will probably start playing a bit less. TL;DR: I don't want it easier, or I won't get better. But something was up for most of this weekend in my experience.

I haven't played this game in months, but it still seems the reasons I stopped playing are still the things that make the game is not fun for everyone else. Like SBMM, and nerfing everything into the ground (rip tlw). From the outside looking in it seems the devs are going to cater to the majority no matter what. The casuals will never be happy. I don't care what game it is. They will never be able to compete with hardcore gamers. So all they do is bitch and moan about "this weapon", or "that ability" until it gets nerfed. In some cases rightfully so, but most of the times not. I was a beta player in this game til a couple months ago. I won't go back. This game is so unrewarding for the time you put in. They know the hardcore players aren't going anywhere so they try to keep the noobs happy by nerfing everything and instituting shit like SBMM. I'm on the toilet right now.

You know, the match is mainly deciphered by Trials passage wins. The passage is basically a tournament. You typically play against someone on the same win as you. Thus, it's a do or die on both parts to proceed. 8th seed vs 8th seed. SBMM -> even more lag.
-
Modifié par sdfgtty67 : 5/9/2016 3:15:32 AMYes. Lets break down the dwindling player base into even smaller chunks to protect noobs even more in our end game PvP mode. You moron.

*Sigh* They have said from the start that going to the lighthouse is a reward for the best of the best in PVP. you can still play trials to do bounties and still get great rewards from 5/7 wins. Trials is the one thing in Destiny PVP that requires you to work hard and work well as a team. There should be no SBMM or "brackets" it should be all dependent on the amount of wins on your card which gives everyone the same chance to go flawless. If you cant beat the best you dont deserve to go to the lighthouse it is pretty simple. Lighthouse is for the PVP elite just like Oryx Hard/Challenge mode is for the PVE elite(or should they make it easier for people that are not so good at PVE?). These kind of posts are getting pretty old. you may as well just ask bungie to give you flawless loot in your postmaster every weekend. My advice is to practice and get a regular fireteam to play with so you can improve as a team and learn different stratergies.

PvP without dedicated servers is pointless aka Destiny PvP is pointless Do something better with your time they won't fix it and they won't add dedicated servers ever
