Bungie's latest patch has brought with it some serious changes to the Voidwalker's abilities - all of them being incredible improvements to the Voidwalker's Super, Melee, and Grenade abilities.
From health and Super energy on Melee hit to instant Grenade recharge and health regeneration on Grenade and Super kills, the Voidwalker has been given the edge that it needed to compete with other subclasses in both Crucible and PvE.
However, there are other subclasses which fall behind because they, too, lack the edge needed to compete with others.
I'm talking about the Titan's subclasses, and I'm asking that you give them the improvements they need to compete with the other classes in both Crucible and PvE.
Here are some ideas for improvements to the Titan I hope you'll consider implementing.
If you agree and would like to see any of these changes, feel free to show your support.
Striker
Death From Above:
While airborne, Fist of Havoc can be aimed at enemies below, and deals more damage in a wider radius. Bonus damage and blast radius is determined by your altitude.
Shockwave:
Fist of Havoc unleashes a wave of devastating energy which travels outward from the user.
Discharge:
Hits with Storm Fist deal area of effect damage around the target. Enemies damaged by Discharge are temporarily blinded and disoriented.
Before you say that this would be over-powered, consider that Nightstalkers get to blind, damage, and slow enemies with Smoke from any range.
Headstrong:
Sprint faster, and sprinting increases the leap distance of Fist of Havoc. Reduces incoming flinch.
Aftershocks:
Increases the duration of Pulse Grenade, Lightning Grenade, and Aftermath and the blinding duration of Flashbang Grenade and Discharge.
An ideal version of this perk would add two seconds to Discharge and Flashbang's blinding effects, making Flashbangs useful in Crucible.
Defender
Unbreakable:
Force Barrier continually recharges, and recharges your Melee and Grenade as it takes damage.
Bastion:
Increases the duration of Ward of Dawn, and enemies that enter your Ward of Dawn will instantly be suppressed.
Gift of the Void:
Your Ward of Dawn and Force Barrier will generate Orbs of Light as they take damage from enemy fire.
Illuminated:
Increases the benefits granted by Blessing of Light and Weapons of Light. Kills made while under the effects of Armor, Blessing, or Weapons of Light have a chance to create an Orb of Light for your allies.
Sunbreaker
Flameseeker:
Your Hammer of Sol will alter its flight path to seek out your enemies. Hammer of Sol tracks more aggressively while your sights are set on your target.
Fleetfire:
Scrap this perk.
The Agility bonus is barely noticeable even at +3 stacks and the added reload and weapon handling speed is hardly a reward when Voidwalkers get both just for hitting someone and Bladedancers get Quickdraw.
I've been using it in Crucible only because Flameseeker and Explosive Pyre are zero help.
Please, remove Fleetfire and in its place put another perk: Fire Forged.
Fire Forged:
Enemies felled by your fire grant you additional Armor and flinch resistance. Stacks up to three times.
Well, these are some ideas I think would improve the Titan's standing in Crucible and, in general, give them the edge they need.
Thanks for listening.

While these are all good ideas, all bungie is doing is just tweaking some knobs and adjusting some numbers. I'm surre that was really changed with voidwalker was some cooldown reductions and changing the Lifesteal drain to proc on hit. As much as I wish, They wont add new features to skills and talents, that would be a rebuild. I'm sure most of these changes the sandbox team only spent like half a day doing. The core bungie team is not working on destiny anymore.

Modifié par Very Saucey : 4/25/2016 7:11:45 PMI like the aftershock idea. Other than that it seems like u just want strikers to be the superior subclass for pvp. The buff to Voidwalker, while a good one was more for pve and for 6v6 crucible. The changes to it are hardly noticeable in 3v3. I say this because I fear some of your changes would make strikers to dominant in 3v3. Titan subclasses in general need a better neutral game though.

2 commentairesCould you give some of these ideas for gunslinger and bladedancer? They feel underwhelming in pve

Glad to see others thinking about how to make the different subclasses more dynamic. I have a couple of items of feedback for you, if care to indulge me. For Striker: Some of your changes to Fist of Havoc make it nigh un-counterable. I would suggest buffs to the Striker subclass focus mostly on the neutral game, accepting the super for what it is. There is one exception to that, however. The Fist (and several other supers as well) should deal damage not from a fixed base damage value, but from a base damage plus a percentage of the target's total health, said percentage varying depending on whether the target is a basic mob, a major or ultra, or another player much the way precision damage multipliers currently do. This is how many MOBA games balance damaging abilities against targets with varying health totals, and it's something that Destiny should implement as well. I like the addition of unflinching to the Striker kit, but I don't think it matches the spirit of the Headstrong talent. I would suggest instead that the effect be added to Unstoppable. My suggestion for buffing Headstrong would be to have Shoulder Charge and Juggernaut activate faster from when the Striker starts to sprint. For Defender: The Unbreakable melee talents is pretty good, and I don't think it needs much help. The Gift of Light talent on the other hand could use a boost. I would suggest your grenade and melee recharge idea be applied there instead. Adding a suppression effect to Ward of Dawn is too much, because there are opposing supers that can only counter the Ward by entering it. As a counter proposal to this, what if the Iron Harvest talent granted a small amount of heavy ammo upon activation of the Ward? This could be placed on a 60 second cooldown to prevent bubble spam from getting out of hand. That would move the subclass in the direction you seem to propose while simultaneously addressing one of its weaker talents. For Sunbreaker: Fleetfire is a good PvE perk when paired with Simmering Flames, and should be left where it is. I would rather have it than the alternative you proposed. Not every talent has to be useful in PvP, and if they boosted the tracking on Flameseeker like you suggest most people would probably use it in that context anyway. Those are my thoughts. Now it is time for me to thank you for listening.

4 commentairesPlease stop Titans are top tier in pvp and PvE

1 commentaireOr give Bladedancers it too, because they're stupidly underpowered.
-
Yes, This is needed please. Titans got more of a nerf than buff in the update awhile back
-
No just no
nobody used void walker now people do
-
Different classes Titans have no magic, they are fine where they sit. Except for sunbreaker, shoulder charge and suppressor grenades are some of the best things in pvp period.
-
Nerf shouldercharge!!!!
Kappa
-
All i want is for kills while buffed by ward of dawn to be counted as super kills. Same for tethered enemies with stalkers.
-
No, we had to wait all of y1 and y2 till they gave them a buff, they were terrible. Don't buff titans
-
7 commentairesAll I want is a Force Barrier buff. Should be more tougher for what you have to go through to get it.
Those t-rexs arms man...
-
Strikers got a buff a couple months back. I think they're fine now, and buffing them further would be a bit "much" Sunbreakers are "fine" in PvE -- they're not the weak kittens that some people like to claim. And PvP isn't bad either though they could use a tracking / proximity fix.
-
Fleetfire is actually very good, it's just more noticeable on a minimum agility build. I'd like to see it buffed though.
-
1 commentaire"Muh titan needs crutches because muh scrubbiness"
-
Strikers got a buff last time around.
-
I use fleet fire with the X3 stack and am running an agility build and my god I raced a friend while on foot and nearly won, he had a green sparrow
-
Oh yeah sure, because the striker needs a buff sooooooo much...
-
Is this a joke? Anyway, let's also give golden gun a little voidwalker treatment. Maybe 5-6 tracking shots and a "green" overshield when the gun is drawn. Also health regen after a kill. It would also be swell to give it a "the last word" animation. I can live without the animation, though.

68 commentairesYou say nighstalkers have smoke grenade that blinds and slows. Yea but you can move out of it easily. We can easily miss with it. Its the DUMBEST melee idea bungie has ever come up with. All the Hunter melees suck!! Except blink strike at least that has range but warlocks hit you from miles away and get a Damn overshield?!?!?! Titans can punch you and cause burn damage that leave you a centimeter from death. The only buffs that Really need to be done is on the Hunter we have no health boost in golden gun. Night stalker barely even has one. Bladedancer is fine. But not nightstalker is so weak it's a joke only good thing we have is shade step and people have the nerve to say it's O.P. like dude we move 3 feet to the left or right how can you not hit me??? Our super takes to long to tether and cancel an enemy super and we only get 3 arrows?! The arrows move to slow and the super drains SOOO fast. I think it shouldn't drain so fast and should get an extra arrow or 2. I mean titans get 7 hammers that already track and regen his health and can kill you just by exploding near you and if that doesn't kill you it starts a burn effect which will. Storm trance move so fast you can't escape it. It has crazy range and crazy health boost. Plus the thunderstrikes melee range is seriously something that NEEDS to be nerfed just cuz half my foot is poking out of a doorway while they are 3 feet away they shouldn't be able to kill me just by hitting my arm or foot that's barely poking out of a doorway.

You know how much you have to give up to have a combination that you MIGHT get gernade and health back, plus in order to even get a gernade back you have to have a perk that increase hunger effect for longer. Warlock Day 1

2 commentairesTwighlight garrison has made all Titans awesome

All that Bungie did was give effects that Voidwalkers already had a very small buff. Because of that, people will see how good it really is and use it more. I have been a Voidwalker since day 1 and the buffs arent so amazing as some might claim it is. Yes it made Voidwalkers "better" but they were never bad to begin with. The people that didnt know how to handle the Void went with Sunsinger. And Titan defenders have a big buff for grenade and melee charging. Its called the super. Or do you want to tell me that you never noticed that when placing your bubble you get alot of grenade and melee charge? Also Titans are the only class that have a exotic that gives a second grenade charge that isnt a specific grenade or subclass. Together with a high discipline and intelect build you have Void Grenades for days. Or Arc or Solar since Armentarium works with every subclass. Titans are a power house that dont need a Buff or Nerf for grenades. The only thing that might need it is Hammer of Sol, but even that is not as bad anymore as it was after the nerf. Or it might just feel that way.

1 commentaireI'm fine with titan's as they are. If you don't want to take the time to learn how to play a class, then don't play that class.
