Thanks for the insight. I also think we could do a lot more with Artifacts. They should be collectible items that everyone can obtain (no RNG except will you find the item or not, everyone who gets one will have the same thing). Give these artifacts effects like : * Your primary weapon does fire/void/arc damage * Changes the element of your special weapon to fire/void/arc * Changes the element of your heavy weapon to fire/void/arc * All your guns cause additional stagger against minions of the darkness * Grants explosive rounds for all weapons * Grants quickdraw for all weapons * Get more ammo from heavy bricks in PVE * Get more ammo from special bricks in PVE * Increased heavy ammo capacity * Increased special ammo capacity * Precision kills charge your super faster * Primary weapons reload faster * Secondary weapons reload faster * Heavy weapons reload faster * Grants weapons the abilities to shoot minions of the darkness through walls * Increased grenade throw distance Give each item a unique lore and aesthetic.

[b]Option A[/b]:I really like the idea of having elemental burns for your primary weapon on the artifacts, activated by a node much like chroma. These could have a chance at being obtained via the Court of Oryx much like the current artifacts at the Antiquated Level. This would definitely breath new life into the Court of Oryx, which is only used right now because it's one of the few places to get these high level artifacts. [b]Option B[/b]: Put a new perk on the artifacts much like Susanoo's "Elemental Transfusion", but with the tweak to where your primary weapon will have the same damage type as your equipped subclass, rather than having to cause elemental damage with said subclass first. For all the talking about letting the team know blah and blah, they only do what they want to do anyways, as per your 'marketing' videos. I think the community would benefit if you and the rest of your communicators were more honest. I mean, how many lies can you guys get caught in already. Artifacts are a grind piece. They arent necessary. So get rid of it. There are better things for the team to do like decreasing the still huge grind, fix the friggin RNG, and you know, reskinning even more old stuff for us to collect. The dev team is an embarrasment to devs everywhere. And to this day, most of our exotics are in our vaults, and we get penalized to switch weapons... BANG UP JOB you guys are doing. Look, there goes a good idea, now "lets nerf it"....what a band of jokers.

Change the zen meteor perk to activate upon triple tap. Nobody is going to waste wonderful sniper ammo on three weaklings, just to shoot something else for half the damage of a rocket. However, changing it to activate upon triple tap would not only compliment it's 3 round mag, but actually make its exotic capabilities more useful, rather than a situational gimmick.

I've always felt like artifacts should increase your damage output or maybe make a specific weapon type have two active burns.

Why not have lore cards that go along side them? Also instead of an actual armor slot why not do something like what you did with the Chromas? Like make different Artifacts fit into armor for little bonuses? Example: The Damned Lute I have on my Warlock can occasionally spawn an orb of light for a solar precision kill. Now considering there are only a few wats to actually get that like sniper rifle, shotgun, sidearm, LMG or a specialized primary like Mythoclast and VoC (Both of which are Obselete) why not make it instead a weapon upgrade that grants solar primary damage for a specific set of time. Or maybe deals like... a small percent of damage on kinetic weapons as Solar occasionally. Rather than add them into the actual light level make it so its like the old ghosts where it was normal. Another thought would to have them augment your abilities more like grenades deal 10% more damage and such. The only artifact that seems to actually be viable to me is the ones for Taken headshots spawn an orb of light occasionally. Other than that everything else gets broken down for easy marks. It seems like something that was thought of and had a good concept but had gotten executed extremely different. just something to make others relevant would be nice.

Coz. The artifacts ARE helpful...but they suffer from the same problem that armor had last year with the original light level system. People don't swap out artifacts to take advantage of the bonuses they give.....because the power that your highest light artificats gives you by raising your light is more helpful. This is further compounded by their rarity. The only places in the game you can get them are (now) the raids, CoO, and rewards packages from Eris or Saladin. Which basically boils down to---if you don't play CoO----you got only 5 chances per month per character to get ANY artifact from the game. That's a major design problem, regardless of what role the item plays in the game.

First remove the light level associated to all artifact. Some ideas for different types of effects they could provide Grants elemental damage to weapons. Grants elemental shields Grants an armor boost from melee hits Immunity to Burn over time damage Immunity to fall damage Boosts one of the following for characters Speed, Armor, or Toughness

They should have unique perks based on lore instead of just rng melee precision or grenade perks. I'm not saying op exotic type perks. But say you have the Hezen totem, maybe when you die there's a chance you leave behind a pool of that green stuff from vog (can't remember what it's called) or like someone said earlier with the fist of eight moons maybe a melee hit randomly creates a few wolf pack rounds. It doesn't even need to be a high chance but it would be way better than it is now.

we have to have them on our person to use them so find a way to incorporate them into something.. ie a necklace that helps your armour in some way or a buckle for your boots, added piece to your gauntlet or additional peice to your helmet.. yeah it seems like it could be a lot of work but, it would then have a point.. also potentially allowing them to be fused to a wapon to add or enhance the perks that it contains as well.. Then the different ones we have are shown off instead of a more or less meaning less number. IMagine wearing some of the items on your person to enhance the gear you already have..
