You know the infusion system wont stay the same after the next dlc right?
Just letting you know... Bungie has simply put this is in to make you think the future is bright for destiny. They've done it before, look at HoW with etheric light, everyone thought their stuff would move foward from then on. Just a way to make shallow content look deeper.
But when new content drops, bungie will be back to there usual self by road blocking progress with double raid rng and a poorly implemented infusion system.
Dont like it, then speak up.

1:1 Infusion like we have now is a lot better than loosing a % Etheric light should make a return as an incremental light upgrade +10 legendary/+5 Exotic (or make up some other numbers) Add etheric light to the loot tables of VOG/CE Put etheric light back in the loot tables for some PVP/POE/Nightfalls/etc...

I'm glad someone said this. People may not realize it yet but everything we get in this dlc is probably going to be obsolete in 4 months. But that's fine, at this point we should all be used to this cycle. Otherwise the game would be even more stale. I love my guns but I also understand the transition to new weapons to keep the game just a little bit more fresh for a little bit longer.

Well it's pretty stupid everyone's going to be 335 light within a week and then what?? Won't have shit to do until the fall update at least you had a reason to grind b4 now yall noobs are going to be 335 and still get rolled in trials

O I expect it to change. However we should just enjoy it while it's here. It's just a game after all.

Not expecting it. They did the same with HoW last year. They made it all much easier. Then TTK came out and the grind was unreal again.

I don't agree with many of their decisions. Put in an absurd amount of time on the game. So addictive. More addictive than fun, for me anyway. But, i can't expect to like the same game for THAT long. I am a super casual, well i was, prior to october 2014 ha. I have not played a game other than destiny since then up until the other day. Went out and got MGS5 and wow!!!! Man, i can put it down when i want to and not worry. It's amazing. Maybe people should just take a break until the actual sequel. I look fwd to destiny 2 and hope they learn from their mistakes. *Etheric light should have NEVER been taken away, pvp should be 100% SEPARATE from pve. Those 2 things make a very good game a great game. Do it in the sequel Bungie

Since they are bringing back yr 1 stuff i can see a lot of things coming back. As for infusion they might change the system, or not. We dont know.

I think it will be around with the next expansion, maybe tho only new gear will have 335+ light. I do think it will get an overhaul with destiny 2 tho.

They'd also make all of your gear obsolete again because it can't be leveled with whatever the next system is like they did with all the year 1 gear. Then they'll come back 6+ months later and re-release that year 1 gear and expect you to re-grind those items. Oh, and if you just saved those items in your vault this whole time instead, they won't be able to be leveled either. Go grind out another one. But I don't think there is going to be another DLC. Next will be Destiny 2.

I definitely think the system's fine where it is right now. Not too easy or too hard to get to max level. In my opinion they did a great job with it and the loot system dropping gear that's always better than what you have. It's great.
