Dark Souls 3 first boss.
Did you die to the first Dark Souls 3 Boss? - poll
I did not, I had 1 or my 3 starting Estus flasks left.
Overall what do you think of the game up to this point? - answer below.
I did not play very long, only for about 45 minutes so far. But the controls feel really good. Takes some adjusting after playing so much bloodborne and Idk why I was expecting a dark atmosphere like bloodborne but everything seems to be extremely bright and the sound is a bit lacking compared to bloodborne so far. I still have hundreds of hours left on front of me to play so I'm sure that opinion will probably change soon.
Update: played for about 5 hours last night. Completely loving the feel and atmosphere. I've only beat 2 bosses so far. A little disappointed how easy they have been compared to ds2 and bloodborne. The first boss in ds1 was a joke.

Yes. You'd think I wouldn't die to the tutorial boss since I've played all the Souls games including Demons Souls, but the truth is that I literally went in blind. Before the release I made sure not to watch and pre-release videos! (That was actually probably the hardest thing to do, really.) I got him on my third try though. I learned the first half really fast, but the second half was tricky to figure out.

I chose the thief class and beat him on my first try. I'm loving the dagger weapon art.

I died one to the first boss. I wasted all my Edits and wasn't prepared for the transformation. I killed him the second time, though. Way cooler then the Last Giant.

I had a bit of a grueller with the first boss, until I got out of Bloodborne mode a bit. Once I started to keep close to him after he transformed, it was much easier.

The boss and I traded, I killed him and he killed me on my first attempt.

The katana guy is more OP than the first boss. He's still badass though.

5 commentairesI'm ashamed to say that I did die to him on my first try. I got a little cocky after beating the titanite lizard, misjudged a lot of attacks, and paid dearly for it. And when he transformed I kind of panicked because I was not expecting that. But I got back up and kicked his ass the second time.

I fought my way up to the opposite tower from the one with the initial bonfire and there was an undead who transformed in much the same way as the first boss does. Needless to say, I wasn't expecting it and he -blam!-ed me up good and proper.

First boss killed him first try Second boss took three tries Third boss first try Fourth boss took 6 or more tries seriously -blam!- those abyss watchers. Haven't Gotten to the fifth boss yet

I played it like bloodborne and destroyed the boss. I'm glad they have sped up the rolling and fixed the horrible hit detection from the old ds games. Only played a little bit but I can tell I'm going to enjoy it, plus I only played ds 1 and skipped the second so iv forgotten what everything does (item wise) so it feels like a brand new game to me. [spoiler]i know it's a new game but I mean as if it's the first time playing a ds[/spoiler]

7 commentairesYou suck if you died on the first boss. You are probably the kid who's loves to gank invaders, heal in PVP fights (and STILL get wrecked) and use the most OP weapons and spells in the game just to win. Git gud.

Though that was mainly due to me getting confused over the controls and chugging two estus at full health. The killing blow was me not knowing how to use my talisman properly and just standing there awkwardly as he killed me with a lunging attack. The Herald also has a garbage starting weapon (spear).

1 commentaireDied on my third attempt. Using the thief class with the bow. I love it because you can hit enemies from almost anywhere with it. But using the dagger is tough, forces you get too close to enemies. I just hope I can find my great sycthe from ds1

He didn't even hit me, though I've played a substantial amount of past Souls games. Still, it was definitely too easy.
