I open carry almost all the time. People in Texas are not bothered by it. Today, a guy in a pickup truck pulled up next to my motorcycle, and pointed at my pistol and gave me a thumbs up.
Edit: It is heartening to see that only one percent feel scared when they see someone open carrying. It is not my intention to alarm anyone. The first time the sheep see the sheepdog, they may think he's a wolf. Eventually, the sheep learn that the sheepdog is there to protect them from the wolves. This is how I want people to see open and concealed handgun carriers. We are the sheepdogs.
Another plus to open carry has revealed itself. I can't carry my pistol into the building. Some silly corporate rule. Since the weather has been nice, I have been riding my Goldwing motorcycle. When I get to work, I simply remove the pistol from my holster and lock it in the trunk. If I was carrying concealed, I would need to pull my shirttail our to access the pistol. Tucking the shirt back in is very difficult without undoing my trousers. This is probably not the best thing to do in the parking lot.

Just a friendly reminder that where there are more guns, there are less shootings.

I fall down to the ground and start crying in the fetal position every time i see one, while praying Bernie Sanders comes to save me with a tax hike and tells me how I don't know what it's like to be poor cause of my race.

No problem with open carry. I prefer to open carry when I'm on my property or out in the woods fishing/exploring. If I'm going to be in public I will conceal. I guess I just like the element of surprise.

I have no problem with open carry, I'd never do it because if I'm going to carry a gun, I'd rather conceal it.

Modifié par FuzeMainIn2k17 : 4/9/2016 3:46:14 PMI live in a country which is very anti gun(i happen to live in one of the few areas where gunshots are fairly common), so if I saw one I would feel uncomfortable. But if it was in an area where it is legal, I wouldnt really mind it. They wont shoot me if I havent done anything unless they were a criminal, and a criminal would probably be very scared to commit a crime in an open carry area.

3 commentairesI would feel uncomfortable, mainly because where I live weapons are illegal.

1 commentaireModifié par Sapphire : 4/6/2016 4:45:50 PMI've never seen a real gun in person except for when a police officer came into my law class once.

4 commentairesConsidering that it's illegal to either own or carry a handgun in the UK (where I live), I would be concerned, to say the least, and would call the police. If I was somewhere I knew it was legal to carry, I would still feel uneasy. It's disconcerting to think that a single person with a gun has the power to take the life of (or seriously injure) anyone around them at any given time. I honestly don't see the point of carrying a firearm in everyday life, as the chances of you needing it are so slim that it's just a waste of time. It's like carrying an umbrella when you're certain it won't rain.

2 commentairesModifié par Britton : 4/8/2016 2:55:01 AMIt's fine. People have irrational fears. If I feel comfortable or not depends on the behavior of the person carrying.

The irrational fear of guns and gun owners is strong in these comments.

8 commentairesI don't like it because if I see a random with a gun I'm thinking "this guy can kill me right now if he wanted to."

I couldn't care less.

1 commentaireLegal concealed carry is where it's at. Would never open carry...whenever I see someone open carrying it's always some fat disgusting prepped or other fringe element.

1 commentaireLmao -blam!-ing ass off what a joke? You aren't a sheepdog u moron, you're just a moron...with a gun. No thanks I'm good, leave your pathetic excuse for a make-up dick at home. You are dangerous. 9/11 was an inside job.

1 commentaireAs a Texan, knowing a lot of people have guns in public it makes the chances of getting robbed WAY less. Like, you gonna rob someone when there's a 80% they have a gun?
-
1 commentaireI am totally for it. Realize how hard it is to conceal a full sized Glock.
-
1 commentaireIdgaf. If you want a power fantasy and carry a 8inch barrel revolver to compensate then go for it. Or if you are a reasonable person looking to defend theirselves. Either way it's cool with me.
-
1 commentaireI'm all for it. If a thug sees folks packing he'll not want to risk trouble, that's the problem with concealed carry: no deterrent because they'll think nobody is packing and will cause trouble.
