I'm gonna say no, even though it's still a pain in the ass whenever something comes up

Offline mode, sure Online mode, no

24 commentairesYou don't really need to? There are plenty of safe areas to just stand or sit at a bonfire. The I'm an adult and have a life argument is pretty stupid because you should know how to budget your time and you are in charge of yourself. Now the pause button really should appeal to people with bitch gfs and wives who boss them around or children who skip their chores and maybe parents of children who skip their chores. Just cause you have a job or a 'life' doesn't make your life constantly hectic. There are plenty of break points where any average person will have no need for a pause button.

I can't see why not when playing offline.

6 commentairesPvp match all of a sudden pause and log off

Honestly it's a trademark of the series at this point.
No.
Well... let me answer your question with another question: can you pause life?

No. And they will never do it!
-
Just quit out of the game, some people really don't know this is an option...

5 commentairesI was interested in getting into Dark Souls, but if I can't even pause the game... I don't want to play the game with a shitbucket at all times.
-
Fun fact about souls games. Pretty much every action you make is auto saved by the games engine and if you quit to the main menu and start the game back up you will be right where you were standing when you quit, no need to get to the bonfire just to "pause". This also works with bosses but only puts you right outside the boss room instead of putting you right in their attack when you resume.

It's called firelink shrine.
-
It would ruin the experience
-
A bunch of assholes arguing over the inexistence of a button that could simply put a little square in the middle of your screen that says [PAUSED]. Jeez, what are we doing with our lives?
-
Seriously just rest at a bonfire or take off an item to make the auto save thing happen again and just quit, it's not that hard dumbasses

23 commentairesI'd say yes. There should also be an option to either play online or off line. If you play offline then you should be able to pause. If you play online then no.
-
No I think the fact you can't pause to think is just part of playing dark souls.
-
1 commentaireLet's add Pausing in the Crucible too, while we're at it

If you're online, no.

8 commentairesPausing should be in every game. Why not? I have things to do, and if I'm playing offline it shouldn't matter. Let the people that don't think you should pause just not pause the game. Simple. Options are great.
-
There is pausing. It's called finding a bonfire to travel to the hub and then back. Unless you attacked the hub people it's relatively safe.
-
Bonfires are your pause button, if there was a pause button there would be a less sense of urgency because you can stop what our doing in the middle, and lose that adrenaline rush and hype to beat a boss.
-
While in Offline mode, there should be full Pause functionality. Outside of Offline mode, pausing shouldn't at all affect the game.
