Yup. They're broken right now. Way too easy to use. I don't say that necessarily because of aim assist or anything, just generally how easy it is to body shot somebody. Bodies do 170 damage ... Like that's ridiculous now. Throughout Y1 that didn't matter because primaries were actually good & shotties were op asf. Fusions were also pretty good for most of the time. Also, the fact that range wasn't so much of a factor it meant some primaries could keep those snipes in check. Now, you cannot challenge snipers w/ a primary! I can't tell you how many times I get a full burst or 2 of precision damage, and still get headshot. Not just from long range, medium range, even close range this happens. I understand sometimes people get lucky shots and land a nice quick scope, but that's what happens the majority of the time when attempting to challenge a sniper w/ any primary. But probably the biggest issue, tied into 170 body damage, is the body shot-primary-body shot horse shit... Players body shot, knowing that they'll take 90% of their targets health, & QuickDraw swap to their primary to finish them off. Sure-this has always been a strategy...the only problem is that you can do it faster than most primaries can straight up kill someone. I think that the skill gap between Good and bad snipers is hella small right now. That it's the easiest special weapon to use, & it's the most effective. A 1000 yard stare & doctrine of passing/last word. And because of that, we'll see something abt snipers in the patch notes for the April update, I'm sure of it. I respect snipers, I legitimately do.there are players that main snipers in all situations and are extraordinary w/ them. I don't hate on those players, it takes hella practice and skill to use snipers aggressively. But players who hold hands & play passive, snipers out like primaries, will feel the hit from whatever changes hardest. Hopefully. There's just no way to push groups of snipers, teams that play a whole skirmish game from the same spots, holding hands ... how can you push when one shot leaves you absolute, or it kills you... you literally can't push that - unless somebody on your team is also sniping. You have to get a pick on one of them w/ a sniper & then push in. Because you can't push them w/ a primary. You [b]definitely[/b] can't attempt to warrior it up & blink-shotty up in there...imagine that - blinking into an open area where 3 players w/ snipers+doctrines are holed up...youd get [b]shredded[/b] so fast. Well. That's my opinion on how/why snipers are the most broken special in the game. And breaking the game because of it. They promote the most boring kind of gameplay. & its NOT fun to play with/against for me, & most of the people I debate this topic with. Even other snipers.

Give me a "no snipers" game mode and that's the one I'll be playing,it's just boring playing against them.

snipers in this game are way to easy to use the aim assist makes it even easier it ridiculous any body can pick up a sniper and be good with it call of duty halo battlefield all take skill and practice to be good at sniping and all you elitist that wanna say oh you have negative kd you cant complain well not everybody is willing to camp with a 1000yard stare or conspiracy theory like you guys do some of us are running around with an actual primary not using our secondary as a primary ie running around using nothing but a sniper or shotty all game all of us have a voice in this community bungie should implement something to actually balance and make sniper not so easy to use like weapon sway descope when shot flinching something like that because snipers in most games rewards precision and a quick reflexes not spamming Destiny sniping is just lemme camp here and ads someone runs past boom aim assist kicks in bullet follows turns corner bam kill like really come on man
