IB ships? Am I doing it wrong?
I really really want a Hibrean Thoughtcrime, I know it's more or less just a loading screen, but that doesn't change the fact.
It seems every game I load into at least one other player has the ship, so the drop rate can't be that bad, right?
I've seen plenty of them drop, just not for me, but this IB I have noticed something peculiar. The 4 I have seen drop since I started looking who got them have all gone to the player that contributed the least. The last one I saw before making this post went to a guy with 0 kills 0 carries 0 captures, I'm pretty sure he joined the game at the last second and maybe had an assist or two
Do I have to intentionally do poorly to up my chances? I've seen a lot of posts about Destiny giving loot to the worst players over the last few years. Is it honestly the case?
Edit: Can Hebridean Thoughtcrime drop outside of IB?
Edit: Lot's of answers today. It seems the drop is just totally random, and has nothing to do with performance. I think we just tend to notice when the bottom players get the loot because it makes us so salty. I've seen 1 more drop since I made this post and it went to the top player.

It's purely random man, I got mine after finishing top a few IB's back now. Just gotta grind I guess and get lucky.

I haven't had a ship drop anywhere besides chests since TDB. I don't know if it's bugged for me but it's frustrating. I want the DO ship

I never got none and I grind each IB all week. I too see all the weak and bad ones get them.

Day one player here, I only got the birth of history last IB. I'd say it's just very rare and random at the same time.

3 commentairesNo it can't drop outside of iron banner, but FWC and regular crucible have the same ship just different colors. I want one too. One of my friends didn't start this IB til Saturday and he got both ships. Both. I can't even get 1 ;_;
