Campaign- 6/10 Arena-9.5/10 Warzone-7.5/10 Forge-9/10 REQ System-8/10 Overall Score *Currently* 8/10 After more free DLC + game modes/playlists + file share I would give it a 9/10. Perfect score if the campaign wasn't so ehh. Not that many other campaigns in Halo were all that good, but I thought this one had great potential and left us with a cliffhanger and a short story. Love the multiplayer and forge at the moment though!

  • I don't get the req system as a criterion for evaluation. Plus, wasn't it really bad about destiny style "rng" and duplicate drops as well as microtransactions? Seems like it was more ham-handedly forced into the MP than anything else.

    Impossible to get duplicates on permanent unlocks, and EVERYTHING cosmetically is available no matter play style or skill level. In halo 4, in order to get the green visor you had to get splatters (however some people do not like using vehicles or play in playlists like swat). In the REQ system, the visor will be available within a reasonable amount of time and in the way that player enjoys playing. Win-win situation for everyone. Less boosters, less whining, and it's like winning the lottery when you get what you have been hoping for. Also, micro transactions are cosmetic and fund the prize pool for the Halo Championship Series and free updates/DLC. I have no problem with people paying for cosmetics instead of paying with their time. If you do not believe that this is criteria for evaluation, then I would gladly replace it with something useless like good Graphics or high frame - rates like IGN would do...

    I can see your point there, and I didn't know whether the duplicate unlocks were a thing or not, but I personally don't agree with the rng system of cosmetic loot. In halos 3, 4 and reach you had to work for your armor, and your appearance was a reflection of your skill level. Now any puts that plays a couple of games can get the gundam style armor that would otherwise denote him as a masterful player. IMO rng completely destroys the significance of the player's appearance.

  • I can agree with your point as well, because I would love to sport some armor that some less skilled players can't obtain. However, ultra rare/legendary emblems are only obtainable now through the commendation process so that is kind of following that route. I would've liked to have seen the legendary armor be available by different means, but I am content with the way it is currently- thus the 8/10 rating.
