And many more, destiny's first REAL competitor is going to blow it out of the water on March 8, 2016.
Tom Clancys The Divison
Feel free to google any of the above websites articles on The Division. They all say the same thing. Though destiny in its final form is a good game, it will be dethroned by The Division in every category possible. Gameplay, graphics, story, MMORPG, and the new mechanics it will have that destiny does not.
I loved destiny for a long time, but when the game is more of a grind than WoW, and each WAY overpriced DLC releases the previous WAY overpriced DLC is never played again because the names of the game decided it was best to make all its rewards irrelevant and therefore undesirable to play, all the PVE glitches and PVP lag and cheats, it's just not as replay able as it once was.
I've logged close to 1,000 hours, but I haven't played more than 30minutes a week in months.
The Division will be a new era. The first competitor in the new game genre that destiny has created. And everyone from alpha to early beta testers and all the interviews in between are saying this game will blow destiny away.
I'm a destiny day one player, but I'm excited to replace destiny with a game to dump all my hours into again.
Read spoiler to see a quote from bungie employee about how they AGREE that destiny will die!!
In December 2015, Bungie community manager Eric Osborne addressed concerns there "won't be any more substantial content until [the studio ships] another full game, or that all of the content for the rest of Year Two will come in the form of timed events."
Also, from the same article:
The release schedule indicated a new entry in the series would be launched in September 2016, but this is no longer the case according to a report from Kotaku. Citing sources "familiar with goings-on at the studio," the site reports "plans for Destiny's future are constantly in flux" and "just last week higher-ups at Bungie delayed Destiny 2 out of this September."
So there you have it. Bungie themselves have no plans to expand their already dying game. And the division, the FIRST game actually in the category/game genre as destiny (unlike fallout, cod, battlefront, etc.), comes out in just a month and some days. Everyone get hyped. Bungie gave a reason to get off their train, and Ubisoft is giving us a new boarding pass. :)
Also, Xbox1 Master Race FTW so... Yeah.

Last time the 'world ended', the T Rex looked up, waited, looked down at the prophesying human, ate him and continued along for another 1 million years!
-
Haven't played destiny since 10/12/15 according to this app so yeah...
-
Beta had quite a few bugs, and considering its Ubisoft it won't change much come launch. In a perfect buggless world, the division would be an amazing game. However it's going to be just another good game.

Your just beatin' a dead horse. It stares inward in contemplative silence, wondering whatvit could've done differently.
-
Destinys been dead
-
1 commentaireJust like it did those 3-4 times before

I fear that this game is going to fail hard. My friends and I played the beta and we got bored with two days. I also fear that it's going to fall under the same fate as Bioshock 2s multiplayer. Once all the the players with no life get the top tier loot it becomes almost unplayable for the people who can't sink 40+ hours a week into the game. And in all honesty it doesn't feel anything like Destiny.
-
4 commentairesLol I'll only quit playing destiny if destiny 2 deletes our characters. I don't care if it is dead it's a game I greatly enjoy playing
-
6 commentairesHow many times have people said destiny would die due to _____ game so far?
-
You will die on March 8th. I'll be waiting for you
-
Hey, guess what! NO ONE GIVES A CRAP
-
Naaah it won't.

I've said this before on a different post. UBISOFT will NOT kill Destiny...BUNGIVISON is already working on that.

Actually, Paul Tassi at Forbes explicitly states that Destiny has nothing to fear from The Division then gives solid arguments. Why I Don't Think 'Destiny' Needs To Fear 'The Division' - http://www.forbes.com/sites/insertcoin/2016/02/02/why-i-dont-think-destiny-needs-to-fear-the-division/#7200f0315c4e I said similar things in my video - The Division vs Destiny - http://youtu.be/X9-SNNGXkY0 Having played the beta extensively (and seeing how wrong many of these media outlets have been wrong so far), it's simple: 1) Destiny PvP is way more diverse than The Division so Blops3 and Halo 5 have been bigger threats to reducing that population. However, lag and bugs did more to damage that population than those games 2) Destiny PvE is grindy just like it seems in The Division but the world is more alive in the sense of seeing other humans, random public events and more varied content in the form of missions, strikes, quests and raids. The Division so far seems to have missions and quests. Hopefully it has more. 3) Proximity chat works great in The Division but you don't see other players in the PvE world except at the start of the game and in the Dark Zone. Give me Destiny PvE world with guardians running around + prox chat to connect with people. 4) Halo players like me prefer fps games to 3rd person shooters, especially cover-based ones with bullet sponge enemies. Granted, the bullet sponges didn't actually bother me and as I leveled up they obviously died quicker. But it's not my preference. 5) Loot collectors will love getting stuff in The Division and will play for a few months but I'll be damned if an MP5 vs a Scar L compares to getting a Bad Juju or Red Death. Destiny has some really cool weapons that The Division can't have (not if it holds to realism like it is doing). 6) Running, literally running, around NYC looks the same and simply can't be as diverse. That gets tired old. Destiny has planets with varied looks and architecture despite the content drought. Some will overlook that but it reminds me of early Destiny running around to farm materials which was fun for a while and I met lots of people...but it was annoying after a while. 7) Destiny still has the best weapon handling anywhere. The Division felt very clunky in comparison. Having played a lot of Gears of War as well I would say the cover system is also below that. Still, I had a TON of fun. 8) The Dark Zone is going to piss off many PvE Destiny players and solo players. Getting jacked constantly because it gets more DZ credits to buy the best stuff will be frustrating as people team up and you don't get to extract. Staying PvE only will make the grind that much longer.

Just like it was supposed to die when halo 5 cod bops3 and other games have come out. Yes it will provide competition and I will be one who will play the division but I will always come back to destiny. A year and a half down the line and we're still playing destiny and it's still popular I doubt it will die, I use other games to take a break from destiny.
-
*sigh* they are 2 different games. Bungie will not die from another game just like cod but just like cod is shooting itself in the foot with constant games coming out (bo3 is solid in my opinion) so too bungie will kill its own game. The community cries aren't being heard because there are a lot of sensible posts here that get lost

Lag is fixed guys, check out the post https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/189862208

4 commentairesI'll still play this. Not going for the division because I never was really a fan of TPS's or any Tom Clancy game.
-
1 commentaireAnyone else feel like this strikes a scary resemblance to the ads that say HOT NEW SINGLES IN YOUR AREA JUST WANT TO BANG
-
6 commentairesDestiny's Beta was much better than Division Beta.
-
2 commentairesThe Division looks like shit, a 3rd person shooter? Basically only gears and resident evil have pulled that shit off. I don't get why people are hyped for that shit show of a game.
-
All those gaming critics are saying that just for the views... They really don't know if it will "kill destiny." We don't even know what future content this game will offer!
