Interesting read, and an even more interesting video explaining the article. Everyone should see this and formulate their own opinion on it.
Personally, I don't like where Bungie as an organisation is heading. And if these business practices are to continue in Destiny 2, I could see the game having huge backlash from the majority of the player base.
PS. Expecting hate because of BDobbins, but oh well.

2 commentairesOne) Kotaku is a blog. I know it presents itself as article but legally they prefer the term blog. Why? Because then they can print whatever gets the most clicks. It doesn't have to be fact-based if its an opinion. That alone kills any trust in Kotaku and their plethora of anonymous sources. If it's supposed to be fact it can be printed as such. Two) While Destiny has certainly had it's downs and more than it's fair share of mismanagement, none of this is really actionable. They decided to shred the story at the last minute, It sucked and it happens but honestly, the original story sounded not only cliche but also finite. If you want an expandable universe you can't answer all the questions and kill of the traveler (Really big good guy is actually big bad guy? That didn't feel played out as you wrote it?) in one go. Certainly the game should have been longer but ending it in one game seems a little bit much.

2 commentairesKotaku isnt worth trusting but it wouldnt be very suprising if most of this was atleast partially true Glad they revamped the story, worth it in the end

1 commentaireRead article. Makes more sense than other theories. Bungie heads - " I don't like it. Start over!" Bungie accountants - " uh...we spent a lot of cash and this contract with activision has time constraints...so....how about we just recycle/hodgepodge it into something like activisions other titles so we know it will be accepted?" Bungie creative staff - " this is our baby! We spent years...blood...sweat and tears! You can't chop this up! Rabble rabble rabble! " Bungie heads - " cut up your baby or...here's the door..." Bungie's remaining staff - Luke Smith - "yeah I'll get right on that...lemme just get this chainsaw going and...now some glitter...and stitches...a little glue...a few fish bones and we're good! " Bungie heads - " well it's got a campaign and an open world and some match made pvp...it should pass activisions bar for standards. Activision heads - " hey space cod with lasers! We can sell that! We have stock holders to keep happy you know! " Bungie heads - " topless sushi anyone? "

It's amazing how badly Bungie has mismanaged this game and the community. They have a consistent anti-player attitude which is evident in how they patch/nerf anything beneficial to players in 2.5 seconds, but leave game breaking raid bugs and other things in the game for months on end with no updates on what they are doing to patch it. Every update just causes confusion and more questions that they never answer while they rely on a community of indoctrinated Youtubers to continue to try to bring more people to this game so they can make more money.
