Let's weigh out some pros and cons of each-
Guardians get a massive Arsenal and can equip any weapons they find at anytime and carry excesses of ammo for their personal weapons.
Spartans have a much smaller Arsenal and have to find ammo for their weapons on the battlefield. And they can only own 2 weapons at a time. The rest they have to find while in action.
Guardians Can summon a personal vehicle, but the sparrow doesn't have any weapons and is very fragile. They can however drive enemy pikes and interceptors if they find any.
Spartans don't have a personal vehicle, but allies are constantly dropping down powerful vehicles and artillery that they can all pilot. And they can pilot any enemy vehicle they capture, including tanks.
Guardians have the ghost, a door opener that essentially makes them immortal and invulnerable to everything that doesn't contain Light, with the exception of fall damage. So dying means pretty much nothing to them. They can be killed however, if they are found in a darkness zone and their entire fireteam is dead, they are dead. Forever.
Spartans aren't as fortunate. If a spartan dies, they are MIA. So basically no revives for Spartans. They go YOLO.
Guardians have small fire teams. Most guardian missions are for 3 people or less, most going solo. But for Raids, they can go in with a maximum of 6 people. And they have very little communication to the authority. Usually there are less than 2 people overseeing them, not including the ghost. And there are no human allies, so it's guardians only.
Spartan teams are much larger. There is a maximum of 16-20 Spartans in one team. They also often work with ground soldiers as allies. And they have a great communication with AI and authorities such as UNSC and Cortana.
Guardians training extends past their birth. They have the crucible, a place where they can hone their combat skills against other guardians without the danger of being killed.
Spartans get most of their training before becoming Spartans. Because there is no multiplayer training since Spartans go YOLO so they only get to hone their skills by killing stuff on the field at the danger of dying.
So, which would you rather be?

1 commentaireSpartans are way more badass, but being a guardian would be fun, given the powers
-
Spartans are cooler, but I'd rather be a guardian so that I can return from death and get a super, and not have gone through a brutal training program.
-
Guardian = Imortality
-
Spartan. Spartans get to travel to other stars, guardians do not.

2 commentairesModifié par Lightish Red : 10/18/2015 3:25:25 AMThe Destiny fan boyism is saddening. I've played both and enjoyed both but Spartans are just better soldiers and protectors of the human race.

28 commentairesCan guardians jump through space, drop a bomb on an enemy ship, AND land on his own ship whilst flying? Didn't think so. Can guardians dual wield? Nope.

2 commentairesYou seem to be asking which universe I'd prefer to insert myself into. As much as I love Halo, and as awesome as the Spartans themselves are, it would suck to be them. If you're a Spartan II or III then you were either kidnapped or orphaned at a young age, went through brutal military training, augmentations that had a fairly high likelihood or killing or deforming you, and now go through hell everyday to help fight a losing war against a superior enemy because you're the only effective countermeasure. If you're a Spartan IV, you don't count. You're just an ODST with shields. If you're a guardian you have space magic, and since you weren't indoctrinated when you were 6 by ONI, you actually have the ability to enjoy yourself. You fight a similar war to the Spartans, but instead of fighting to hold on to your rapidly shrinking empire while watching your people die by the millions, you are watching your people expand and reclaim lost glory. The life of a guardian is far and away better than the life of a Spartan. Unless you're a warlock, because apparently warlocks can't ever become notable without also becoming dangerously insane.

1 commentaireThe master chief is too much of a bad ass to want to be a guardian.
-
*cough* hammer of soul *cough cough*
-
Gotta go guardian. At least they don't have to spend all of their time on suicide missions and plus....space magic.
-
I'd rather walk out of a raid without a scratch with more lives than a cat, than to be a kidnapped orphan with emotional disorders.

2 commentairesInb4desticl- oh shit.

Spartan, I'll keep my choice, screw space magic, I'd rather die once than : oh I'm dead.....Revive me ghost!
-
1 commentaireI love Spartans more, lore wise. But I'd love to run around with some flaming hammers.
-
I can't decide halo and destiny ate my favourite games
-
I'm sorry, but I'd have to go with that space magic. Also,
Must. Not. Insult. NP.
Modifié par FOEHAMMER51 : 10/20/2015 4:47:09 PMEveryone depends on Spartans because all other soldiers (barring a rare few) can't keep alive under their circumstances. At least in the company of other Spartan 4s you wouldn't be lonely...until they died because of all those suicide missions UNSC loves sending them on. Demands on guardians are even worse. Go here and grab this. If you fail, life as you know it will end. No pressure. I'm not sure which is more extreme. But I think that I'd prefer the civilization of the guardians, they have something to build towards.
