Grow up, Destiny is designed to play both PvP and PvE. It's not Bungies fault you don't want to play the whole game. What if a PvP player want Raid gear or Strike gear?
Plus if you die every few seconds you will never get either one.

here comes the grandpa, Lecturing.. just go away..
-
If a pvp player wants raid gear, they do iron banner or ToO. Next question.
-
IB and ToO does not give you Raid gear, it gives you IB and ToO gear. Don't worry the PvE only players will be bitching about the Lighthouse again soon enough.
-
Its equal to raid gear nowadays. So my point still stands. People are just getting butthurt because someone had the balls to apologize to the community since they're forced into something they don't want to do. IB/ToO is pvp raid gear. If swords were only allowed in crucible, yeah, you should have to pvp to get them. They're not. Pvp is being forced on people who don't play for whatever reason (they suck, they don't like it, they know their connection is shit and stay away for the sake of the other players). But watch out, if someone is forced into pvp and offers apologizes, they get ripped a new one.
-
Forced, Does Deej fly to your house and hold a gun to your head?
-
The point I'm making is pvp players have a second option if they don't want to raid. Us pve players want a second option for quests are not pvp based (ib/ToO/crucible specific).
-
The Thorn was a PvP weapon, the Chaperone is a PvP weapon, the swords are good for both.
-
He'd never do that. I made a snide comment in an update thread once. But that's besides the point. Okay, I'll agree with you. But IB and ToO gear needs to be lowered then. No raid gear without raiding.
-
We don't even know what the gear level are going to be yet. They probably are not going to be 310.
-
They'll be 300+ I all but guarantee it. And if they're not, pvp crybabies will whine and it'll get changed. 300 and above is raid equivalent in this new system.
-
The end game for PvP is trials and Iron Banner. The end game for PvE is Nightfall, CoO tier 3, and the raids. Why should they not all be the same light level? They're all end game activities. The difference between raid gear and IB/ToO is that raid gear offers special perks that are only useful in the raid, this has been the case across every raid so far and PoE. The raid gear has also always been uniquely themed whereas up until TTK the IB gear has been reskins of vanguard gear, and ToO has only been around since HoW. Plain and simply the rewards offered by either have not been the same at all.
-
You just emphasized my point. For PvPers who don't like PvE, they have an option for endgame gear. An option. They aren't forced into the raid, just to accomplish something. PvEers are forced into PvP for a great deal of things, most of which are weapon, subclass, and general quests. If I were to receive a quest that gave a weapon which could only be used in PvP, I won't say one thing about having to go into PvP to earn it.
-
That's the thing though, there is only one exotic quest in the whole game (that I'm aware of) that only requires PvP and thats for the first curse, but at the same time leveling up the gunsmith to get the quest in the first place would take quite literally weeks to get because there's only a few if any test weapons that can be tested in the crucible. There's only a few crucible only quests in the entirety of the game. The subclass quests don't require you to play crucible as well you can make progress through PvE content. The vast majority of content is done through PvE, a smaller amount is done through both PvE and PvP, and the smallest amount is Crucible only. You keep saying people are forced to do this too, a great deal of the gear you receive that is earned through crucible play is mostly useful in the crucible only unlike say the quest for Sleeper Simulant or ToM. The Chaperone and First Curse are practically made for crucible and thus wouldn't be useful for PvE the same way other exotics are. I also can't help but notice that Crucible doesn't even give close to the same rewards RNG wise. With vanguard streak, three of coins, nightfall, and heroics PvE players have a much easier time getting gear for their end game content compared to PvP players. At the end of day though this doesn't matter. The most versatile players in the game will get the best experience, people who vehemently stick to on facet of the game will be given the short end of the stick. I have no problem with players being coaxed (not forced) out of their comfort zone occasionally especially if there's a really big carrot at the end.

You are required to do pvp for subclass quests. Melee kills and grenade kills, etc etc. My point isn't that there should be no crucible quests. Its it should be an OR thing. 25 kills with a sword in crucible, OR....50 strike boss kills with a sword, who is weak to its damage type. Something for everyone. Not forced into one aspect of the game for those who don't enjoy it. Your last part I can agree with though. The most versatile get the best experience and they should.
-
Modifié par Jam : 10/10/2015 7:40:45 PMThe get 50 kills with super, grenades, melee can be earned in both as far as I know. There's a few ones like gunslinger throwing knife kills that require crucible, but again the majority caters to PvE.
-
Why does the OP need to grow up exactly? All he's saying is that's he's bad at Pvp and he's sorry if he drags down the team. He's not bitching about the quest. You on the other hand are bitching for no reason. So I'd say you need to grow up.
-
"I didn't want this. This is what the designers want if I'm to get my pve weapons I want." He actually is complaining about the quests. Not through the whole post though
-
Well it isn't like how most people complain about crap with Destiny.
-
Then do the raid dumbass. The sword isn't a pvp item, it's a universal item. You crucible players can get just as high a light level by iron banner and trials alone. So who cares.
-
Modifié par jcald-- : 10/10/2015 3:47:51 PMI m not a PvP players dumb ass, I m about 50/50. The game is designed that way. Not my fault you play half a game. You have a blocked account you f ING troll. Good bye trolly
-
You just went FULL retard didn't you? You sure as h3ll did! PvP accounts for 15% of gameplay in Destiny you friggin retard! Muted!
-
It's not designed that way at all 90% of this game is pve.
-
Because it's a PvE game! You don't play Destiny for PvP, you go play Halo or Cod.
-
No its not. You have a nightfall to a weekly pvp quest, raid to trials, strike list to crucible play list, daily storey to daily crucible, quest for both, Weekly crucible play list, pvp and PvE bounties, iron bannor to storey missions. Seems pretty even to me
