The Green Engram Debacle
[u]Public Service Announcement[/u]
For some characters green engrams have [u]completely[/u] stopped dropping. We don't lose anything, we just receive other colored engrams in place of green engrams.
[i]This is not a theory or speculation, it's a fact[/i]. What we don't know..... Is why some characters continue to receive green engrams while others have completely stopped.

It seems I might be wrong in my theory that those that don't get green engram drops get the same amount of engrams as those that still get green engram drops.
I still need to run a few more tests but today I grinded for an hour on each character to compare the amount of engram drops.

[b]Time tested: 1 Hour
[u]My character that does not get green engrams:[/u]
1x purple engram
10x blue engrams
[u]My character that still gets green engrams[/u]
1x purple engram
12x blue engrams
18x green engrams
As you can see, my character that still gets greens more than doubled my character that doesn't.
This is looking like more of a crutch to those that don't get greens anymore. Like I said though, I will run some more tests.

No one has really been able to answer this for me. My Titan is 40 (+270 Light) and the stupid green engrams won't stop dropping. [b]They haven't dropped on my hunter since he was in his late 20's.[/b]
I have used my +25 level increase to raise the Titan and I'm wondering if the level item has bugged my character. [b](*edit* has been decided to not be a factor)[/b]
Someone mentioned it might have to do with my level with the cryptarch. [b](*edit* has been decided to not be a factor)[/b]
Anyone have any ideas?

1 commentaireI think it's story/mission related. Main Hunter has done everything, no greens. 2nd Hunter hasn't finished TTK story, still gets greens.

1 commentaireI believe it is story based. My hunter haz completed almost all the quests. My other two have only gotten as far as regacide. They still get greens.

I think once you finish the latest story, now, ttk they stop. I very much noticed on my titan with the ttk story completed i haven't seen a green in weeks. I have a second titan and a hunter and neither have completed the story. I ran nightfall on both those characters last week and got greens on them. Ran nightfall on my second titan and story on my hunter this week and still get greens. Again, i haven't completed the ttk on either. Like i said, by contrast on main titan that's completed the story and many quests and i get no greens engrams at all. Now my guess is if i were to hit some chests id get some but i rarely grab chests. Because I've got more spinmetal than all of venus

1 commentaireI don't get green engrams on my main character. It was made before TTK. But I don't think that's why. Um… I abandoned the second quest, nothing left but the fall, because I had already completed the story before TTK launched and I didn't want to do it again. So maybe it's that mission? My other two characters still have it and they get greens. But on my character where it's abandoned it doesn't get greens. So… maybe that?

1 commentaireFunny thing happened today, my titan decoded a llvl 95 blue glove. That character is llvl 296 when I decode. But yeah, I haven't gotten a single green on my warlock since lvl 38.

Did some tests to see how many engrams drop for those that don't get green engrams anymore, compared to those that still do.

Green engrams stopped dropping on my Warlock since I obtained all four Davlin fusion rifles. Haven't seen a green engram in like two weeks, never been happier.

Never noticed this until you posted it... But I haven't gotten greens on Warlock or Titan in a while... Hunter had gotten greens this week.

i dont know ... maybe it has to do with quest complations? i get green engrams on my titan and warlock but my hunter only has 5 quests left and has not been getting green since i had 10 quests left

I want loads of greens, I have barely any materials :(

I waited until the past few days to rank up my Warlock and now I get greens with him ALL the time. My Titan and Hunter I ranked up earlier and i havent gotten one for a long while on either. Weird.

I still get greens just a lot lower frequency than blues. I say it's based on level since when you make a new character you get white drops until you hit a certain level. And once you hit a certain level greens don't need to be decrypted anymore.

I stopped getting them finally when i got my titan to level 38, but yesterday when i logged in to get my sleeper simulant i got a few greens but they have disappeared since?

298 Hunter gets them all the time. I get excited thinking they're exotic, nope. 303 Titan never sees them. It's weird.

Yeah but noticed that too. My 304 light doesn't get greens anymore, but my 297 Hunter does. I'm thi king it's cause I didn't finish the normal story missions on my hunter.

I'm willing to trade all the greens I get for blues...I must get 6 greens for every blue I find.
