So I really like the idea of including secret missions into destiny in order to unlock cool gear however I'm not a fan of the special daily missions, mainly because I simply cannot play every day. My job requires me to go offshore onto oil rigs fairly frequently to perform inspections, this means I have periods where I have no access to my xbox. Previously, apart from the usual weekly loot, the only thing I missed out on whilst offshore was xur, I taught my girlfriend how to buy stuff from xur specifically to mitigate this problem in-case he sold something I needed.
However these secret daily missions are really frustrating for me as I am loosing out on cool content in the game with no real way of ever getting it again. You say in your weekly update that the first firewall mission will come back in time but exactly when?
Destiny is literally the only game I have played for the last year, I have invested so much time into this game (4000+ grimoire) and I hate feeling like having a job handicaps me in the game.
I'm sure I'm not the only one with this concern.
My suggestion would be to allow these secret daily missions to be repayable through the regular menu's. Limit the exclusive loot to once per character, this would mean only people playing catch up would benefit from this.
Anyone who agrees please bump so that bungie may see this.
Thank you.
[EDIT] A suggestion from one of the guys below was to introduce these special missions as quests - to me this seems like a very simple and effective solution. The quests can be timelocked by bungie as the missions currently are, however this would allow people to complete them in there own time.
[EDIT] Taking from others ideas I reckon introducing it as a quest line 1 week or so later would keep everyone happy. All the "if you can't make it onto destiny every day then you don't deserve it" people would have the prestige in owning it first and the "casuals" would know for certain they will be able to complete the missions to in the future.

I said other because honestly there are no special modifiers on the daily stuff anymore you should just be able to run for stuff at any point

thats like a 6 figure a year income job -blam!- yourself

They should have one on the weekend

It may or may not be an option to share play, bud. Depending on whether or not you have solid friends playing the game as well. That shit does suck.

I think they should be on a random monthly rotation. Black Spindle and Sleeper will be back soon.

Quest options would be the best solution hands down. As much as Bungie wants their game to appeal to replayability, it shouldn't be at the cost of dissatisfaction to responsible peple not glued to their console.
-
Ok so if they introduced this what would be the point of the daily or the weekly? They are supposed to be timelocked to make items rare and more satisfying when u get em. Just wait till the next time it comes around like everybody else who couldn't beat it or couldn't do it. A majority of ppl who play this games have priorities. U will just have to wait. Even if they did do some special catch up system, what would be the criteria to keep ppl from exploiting it.

I made a post as well. Suggestion: Yesterday story mission along with the daily. It'll help A LOT

Modifié par Foxy Shazamm : 10/9/2015 9:48:28 PMI just don't care about the special missions if I miss them o well its not the end of the world

Just implement them as quests, because the new quest system works. It's good. Why create a good system for something and then walk away from it? Keep it cosmetic, IE special shaders or ghost shells for completing these unique daily heroic side missions. Just makes sense.

Hey! I have a better solution to this! MAKE CHALLENGING CONTENT INSTEAD OF TIMELOCKING IT It's a lazy way out

2 commentairesThe entitlement is strong in this thread... Still saying and always will say. If you can't make the time then don't play. No one should have to work around your schedule. Its your own fault for being in that profession and not having time.
-
38 commentairesLool, we all have jobs, I get that. And it sucks when work keeps you from being able to do something that's timelocked. But if it's that bad you shouldn't play. People like you talk about catering to casuals (yes, yes you are don't deny it) while simultaneously basically saying "-blam!- you" to the hardcore players. Why should players, who haven't played, be rewarded with the ability to casually complete time locked events, while the hard core player was around for them? Hey, person A raided ever week till he was level 310, so let's give 310 to this guy, because he never raids? Is essentially what you are saying. Ih, you couldn't play when black spindle was the daily? Here you go, since you are a casual, you can play it when ever you want. But you hardcore players must finish it today. No, that's not how it works, in games or in life. Oh, I'm sorry, you were too busy to come to class today to earn your degree? Well, to hell with people who made it to class, how about you tell me when you'd like to complete your final? Oh, not tlebough time in your day to complete all your work? Finish it at your leisure, and you can have that promotion, even though Smith over here never calls out and always finishes. This game is about the grind, play for the grind, or don't play.

51% of the community are 7 year olds with no responsibilities I guess

5 commentairesYou have 24 hrs to do the missions. You don't work 24/hrs. Any questions?

Modifié par EMUracing : 10/9/2015 9:40:57 PMVideo games are something to play when you have time to play them. Having events inn specific unknown dates is fun, but frustrating when you have no ability to play during those events due to real responsibilities. I have been lucky to be able to play and get spindle and sleeper... But those that miss it because they work, should have a way to complete it. We already sacrifice things to schedule time to play certain events, and many cannot be on every day all day. Those that miss it should be able to pick up the quests at the abandoned quests kiosk... This is not saying that anything should be handed to anybody without putting in work. But our lives should not have to revolve around Destiny's schedule of events that are 'hidden' from us to start with.

Just take solace in the fact that when you retire you will have the funds to literally sit around playing games ALL DAY and no one can complain cause you put the work in.

14 commentairesIt is kind of crazy how on some posts that are expected to get hate never really get hate. But then a post like this, which really shouldn't get any hate, gets a whole bunch of hate.
-
Just a note, when you do get the quest it will remain there until you do it, that quest does not only last a day, so as long you have got all your fusion rifles you should be good.
-
Modifié par The Hate Campaign : 10/9/2015 9:28:54 PMI guess some of the children think life consists of only work, then destiny. It would be crazy to think you have normal things to do before/after work like be with your children, clean, make dinner for your family, help your children with homework, get them ready for bed, etc. The list of everyday things people need to do outside of work goes on and on. But, no, you need to make time for destiny. If you don't do any of those things besides work and play destiny then you shouldn't be complaining.

2 commentairesbungie should just unlock all: gear/items/missions/quests/events for everyone to keep it fair. we wouldnt want any hurt feelings now, would we?
this trophies for all culture blows major cock
Modifié par Iji The Killer : 10/9/2015 9:04:57 PMThat's the way it works. You have a job therefore you should not expect to keep up with the no lifes and kids who play all day. Those missions will pop again and you will just have to catch them. I work two jobs and I manage to keep up. I haven't played any games in two days but I have Black Spindle and Sleeper Simulant it can be done.
