Why are hunters hated so much?
I have been looking through the forums and noticed that a lot of people hate hunters, for all those that do please explain

2 commentairesIt's just the personality of people who main Hunters. For some reason, most of the Hunter mains are a bunch of blowhard elitist wannabes who think they're God's perfect gift.

6 commentairesI'll tell you about my situation. Me and my roommate have been best friends for about 15 years. He mains a Hunter, I main a Titan. He......ABSOLUTELY......hates Titans, always has since launch. It's gotten really bad since TTK launched. Anything he can get over on Titans, he will. For instance, I showed him a video on YouTube where a guy got sniped and went for a ride across a canyon. Once he saw that it was a Titan that got sniped, he started laughing and said "Yeah! -blam!- that Titan! Serves his ass right!". And it has been like this any time he sees or hears anything bad happen to a Titan. He also complains any time a Titan does anything to him. It's gotten to the point where I can't play Destiny with him because of how angry he gets. If we weren't roommates, I probably would have left our clan by now. I know not all Hunters act this way and they're not the only class that hates Titans, but a majority are Hunters and he is a prime example of why Hunters have such a bad rep on here.

8 commentairesAll gun skill and no need for abilities to be good. Most of us (myself included) see very powerful abilities as a crutch since we just don't need them to go on a killing spree. Also, some Hunters get the idea that since they are able to dominate without weapons that only "crutch" abilities are unfair and for noobs, which is understandable at times. Heck, some Hunters even go through infighting because of builds focused on super or grenades (Bladedancer). We have only a few decent grenades in each class, sad melees and easy to kill supers, so seeing other classes with far superior ones is very annoying at times.

Because in Year 1 everyone who played Hunter played to a certain cretin play style that was OP and if you didn't also play to it then you were uncompetitive unless your gun skill and awareness was way better than your opponents. Also the fact that a lot of them would actually come on the forums specifically to be an arsehole about it

3 commentairesIt's not that I hate Hunters, it's just that I hate dicks who happen to be Hunters. Recently, Titans have been showing their dickish side because of the "Sunbreaker OP" debate. Warlock though, they seem to be the chillest class. Never had a problem with them. [spoiler]Even though your melees annoy me [/spoiler]

Just the very vocal ones, that'd bitch about a free meal saying it's not free enough. Some, like a friend, avoid the forum (forums in general) like the plague. Because, very rarely do you see creative conversations. Just a bunch of dick/tit measuring. With some racial or sexuality comments added. Sad when you think of it. All classes have arrogant people, just like real life. You have your arrogant Titan, then a Titan that is basicaly throwing himself at your feat with invites. All because he's impressed at how much a team player you are. You have your arrogant Hunter, then have a Hunter (like moi) who goes out of his way, just to help that random Titan or Warlock. You have your arrogant Warlocks, then have one who don't waste their selfres, when he's 92% revived.

Supers used to be borderline unstoppable in pvp.

We had bladedance and for some reason people like to sit there and miss bullets

From what I have read, it is perceived they dominated the crucible year 1, got a few indirect nurfs that affected some perks on a subclass or two & now call for Sunbreaker nurfs as it is seen as a threat to their superiority. However in truth it all comes down to skill & there is salt all around. Probably why they found water on Mars (just kidding) Really though it all revolves around the Crucible. In PvE everyone generally gets along & loves the support a Nightstalker & Sunbreaker can provide

Iv noticed that the hunters have the most squeaker dumbass' playing as them because of their initial "cool" factor... as a hunter player, I must apologize for all the idiot cry babies that bring our class down.

4 commentairesBecause of the 'me first' type of person that the Hunter class attracts. Hunter main players as a whole are just much more focused on themselves. Their supers (barring new one) support that play style. If I had to give them direct links, I would say: Hunters are the Slytherin house, Warlocks are obviously Ravenclaw. Titan represent everything Grifindor stands for and we can give Hufflepuff to the sweeper bot.
