Currently I'm helping to pad the stats of the lvl 40 beasts that roam crucible. I understand that I will have poor KDR for a while until I learn the maps, better guns and git gud, but any pro tips you guys can provide to make it slightly less painful would be appreciated. I used my best auto rifle and unless I catch someone completely off guard I am going to lose any even shoot out. I don't have any legendary or exotic weapons yet, so can't lean on that yet either....
I can hold my own in Battlefield, Titanfall, COD, Halo etc, but so far not Destiny. Got a .15 KD in my first match lol. Help a brother out!

First of, in Crucible lvl and attack power is equalized. A lvl 2 player can take just as many hits as a lvl 40 player and that goes for guns too. An auto rifle with 36 damage will kill just as fast as an auto rifle with 310 damage (provided the stats are the same). That means that you aren't forced to use the auto rifle you use now. Pick a gun that suits your playstyle instead. Some easy tips are: 1) Check your radar. 2) Don't forget to use abillities like your grenades and melees. 3) Fight close to cover 4) Know when to run away and when to stand your ground. 5) Adjust your sensitivity to match your playstyle.

Shoulder charge and fist of panic... That's all you need as a Titan
-
Play sunbreaker, play low sensitivity, use auto rifles/pulse rifles, watch youtube videos and learn the crucible maps, dont get frustrated if you are doing bad, play with a fireteam, play passive if you are concerned about kd, shotgun until you learn the maps and then snipe if you want, learn the radar, learn map spawns, this is basically all the tips I have for you. My hunter KD is at 3.23 atm and I play with and against top tier players. The most important tip is have fun though!
-
My best advice is don't start . You'll be back here in a few days whining about : Laggers Cheaters Unfairness BS OP Nerfs Quitters Dumb players Shotguns Sunbreakers Sunsingers Blade dancers Etc....etc.....etc Yea best move is don't start.

This game plays more closely to Halo than the other shooters you have played. The Time to Kill is a lot longer in Destiny and Halo. If you're a Titan, definitely max out the Sunbreaker subclass and I would suggest trying to find the Bad JuJu. Not only does it recharge your super really fast, but the weapons patch made it more powerful (as it was untouched and the exotic Hand Cannons were really nerfed). Learning to snipe is also a great way to improve your KD. Watch some of TrueVanguard's videos. He does a great job explaining weapon preferences and positioning, especially when sniping.

2 commentairesJust get a pulse rifle and hang back a bit...the crucible is a lot slower then it used to be, it's a lot easier now, u don't need the reflexes like before. Just get a pulse rifle and hang back.. it's boring as hell but it's almost impossible not to get a positive kd like this....when u get bored forget about ur kd and run around with a sidearm, u will get killed heaps but it's a lot more fun:)

Modifié par Artimise Flare : 9/24/2015 8:46:08 PMOkay, this is going to be pretty long winded, so please bear with me. Number one rule for me. If you play on PS4, record every single game you play. I don't care how much you raged, how poorly you played, or how unfair and cheap the enemy was. Record your games. This is extremely important. Why? How can you fix any errors or see how you got outplayed if you have nothing to look back on? PvP can be chaotic and fast paced, where the difference between being shot gunned in the face or getting out with a solid head shot with a throwing knife has to be determined in miliseconds. Record your games, watch them, identify what went wrong and try to apply what you've learned to your next round. Knowledge is power, guard it well. XBONE players can save the last 5 minutes of gameply, however, PS4 players can save the last 15 minutes. To do this, press the share button on your controller when you're at the score board at the end of the round. Click square and the PS4 will automatically save the last 15 minutes of game play. Once this is done, go to your PS4 dashboard, select the video/capture section (represented by a camera and a piece of film) and select videos within the destiny sub folder) once you have found the desired video, you may then click the "option" button to trim the excess content from the video. If you so choose, you may then upload this video to Facebook, twitch or youtube by clicking the share option once again and linking your respective accounts with your PSN one. That out of the way, here's some more general tips. First and formost. Radar (when playing applicable game modes) is your best friend. Learning to read it correctly and assessing your situation is crucial to play effectively in most game modes. Watch this video, Mtashed on YT does an excellent job explaining how the radar works. https://youtu.be/ame9nGrg3aE Second, learn the maps. No matter how MLG pro your gun skills may be, you simply cannot play at your best when you have no idea how to navigate your surroundings. I advise walking everywhere you go when you first play a match on an unfamiliar map. Familiarize yourself with high traffic areas, choke points with long sight lines (excellent for sniping) and where the enemy likes to dodge in and out of cover. This is not something we can teach you or tell you how to do it. Knowledge is typically gained simply by playing the maps. Third, once you get a hang of the maps and knowing how to read your radar, you can then learn how to navigate and how to run away. Yes, that's right, RUN AWAY. Never commit to a fight that is not in your favor if you can help it. Sometimes it is best to retreat to a different location to give yourself the advantage. On your radar you see what appears to be 2 opponents coming your way from two different angles, you'll never win that fight when you're getting pinched by the two of them. However, there's a tunnel right behind you with a blind corner and a long hall way. It's best to fall back in this scenario and hard scope the long hall way and try to draw them out into your line of fire here. It is best to fall back and live to fight another day, instead of going out in some vain glorious attempt at making a last stand. There is no shame in retreat. Fourth, unlike Call of duty or Battlefield, vertical game play is big. As a Titan you have some excellent mobility available to you, something that locks and hunters don't quite have. To make aiming easier, I recommend you go into your control settings in game and switch to the "Jumper" configuration. It will take some time to get used to, but it will allow you to aim while jumping at the same time, without the need of taking your thumbs off the thumb sticks. True Vanguard has an excellent video showcasing this. Please see the following link. https://youtu.be/gLTRwZcs5pE Learn how to use your jumps and get out of the usual sight lines of your opponent. This works exceptionally well when navigating areas and swinging around cover to attack your foes at odd angles. Fifth, learn the time and where heavy or special ammo spawns. It is extremely powerful and can make or break games. Note: many players take advantage of this and save their supers when heavy is coming up to nuke enemy players and deny them the heavy. Killing an enemy with heavy drops heavy ammo (purple boxes) or pick up as well, so be wary of this. Even if you do not need it, simply grabbing special ammo crates (green boxes) denies that resource to your enemy. Starving them of their special weapons such as shot gun shells and sniper rifle rounds or batteries for fusion rifles. These are all very potent force multipliers, so deny the enemy heavy or special ammo whenever you get the opportunity to do so. There is more, but I'm on and phone right now, so I'll update this post later.

1 commentaireIm one of the best sunbreaker titans
-
Crouching takes you off the radar. Pay attention to shooting lanes .
-
Defender for team gamemodes, as it can significantly improve your lifespan and can have the fastest non-Exotic Cooldown of any Super. If it's Mayhem or Elimination, Sunbreaker will serve you better. Rumble is a toss up. Striker can work for you if you use it right, but it suffers from being very situational, as in that unless you are next to an enemy super or a large group, Helm of inmost Light + Unstoppable is a requirement in general for Strikers. If you can land a pair of Feedback Fences (year 1 Exotic Gauntlets) you can improve your Melee game immensely.

3 commentairesWhich subclass do you play on specifically? I play on Defender so I could probably give you tips for that, not so much the other two. But general crucible tips would be to use your goddamn primary and not needlessly rush down everybody you meet. A lot of people seem to think that they need to be using special and running around like a maniac. When you see somebody on your radar don't push for them, stay back with your primary and wait for them. Use shotgun only to counter other rushers. If you'd rather not use a shotgun at all, use a sniper but don't camp. Nobody likes campers. Really though, don't play aggressively most of the time, unless it's something objective based like Rift or Zone Control. There are enough people playing aggressively that you don't need to worry about not getting kills in a defensive play style, more then enough will be rushing you down. Seriously. My KD would probably be negative if it wasn't for all the people running at me feeding kills.

3 commentairesJust dont use a shotgun all the time... most people do, its sad, makes for easy kills. Find a primary gun that you like, (the strangers rifle from pve story line is a great beginner pvp gun) if you have nothing else. Practice with it in pve and get a feel for the hitbox and clip durations. If you are looking for straight kills max your sunbreaker as soon as you unlock it. I prefer to pop bubbles everywhere because people get scared and wont push you without a super, and then they lose their supers when they could use it elsewhere, sometimes just to pop a bubble with no one in it :p. Figure out your melee range and if you really want to troll shoulder charging can be hilarious from your perspective. I only really use my sniper and primary though (primaries of all types). Shotguns hold no place in my inventory so if you want sniping tips ive got em. My last tip, have fun, stay calm and just enjoy the game even if you lose every match (it happens as a solo player, trust me...). The more you play the more you will improve. Good luck, the crucible is brutal, find a clan if you really get into it, itll make it more fun and you will have more people to play all aspects of the game with.

Is defender your only class?

Watch vida dude. Lots of good help on YouTube. Search for destiny pvp tips
-
Stay with your teammates. You'll learn the maps in a much safer way and you'll help your team win more engagements, if for no other reason than to give the enemies more people to shoot at, which gives your team more time to kill them.
-
3 commentairesWhat system you play on? I can help you if you like. Im a decent player who understands the meta and different abilites etc.
-
If you're a defender use weapons of light on your bubble. Use it to hunker down and snipe or shoot with any ranged gun. You'll take people out very quickly. And if you get hurt retreat back into the bubble.

Thanks to all. Don't want to drag my team down with poor play.
