Destiny has overlooked the people who cant afford year two.
Since the last update I have been getting more and more pissed off. Now you NEED the taken king to do ANYTHING. I cant afford the taken king and I enjoy playing destiny, but since the last update I can buy anything because its either lvl 40 or it requires legendary marks That really pisses me off.

It's like a movie on dvd, it's going to be there when you wind up getting it. More than likely, the next dlc drops in 3 months. If you save $5 a week to the side, even put it in a jar/envelope (or whatever), you will have enough to get TTK and the new dlc.

Obviously you're missing out on the nightfall/heroic strike/dailies because you didn't pay to play those new missions and strikes. But the raids are there. PoE is there. Crucible is there. All I'm saying, if you don't want to pay for the expansion that's fine. Enjoy playing the same year 1 destiny. Also you don't have to be level 40 or have new gear for year 1 destiny so it wouldn't make sense for you to be allowed those things without purchasing TTK.

It is not worth their time to care that you can't afford the game, they want people who can afford it to buy it so will keep doing what they are doing as long as people pay for it.

2 commentairesI don't understand all the people who are really criticizing the OP. They are upset because Destiny essentially alienated anyone who didn't buy their DLC. Speaking of, let's define "DLC." "Downloadable Content." DLC, or an "add on" was introduced to allow players to have access to more content, along with the content they already own. And that is how essentially all games have worked for a long time. Bungie decided to take a different route. Instead of "adding on", they cut off. They made it a requirement, instead of an option. 80% of the normal in-game functions that you could do even without the previous DLC's, has been removed, and only available to the owners of TTK. I'm not saying non-owners should be able to access everything that TTK owners do, but maybe at least what we could before if you didn't own the DLC.

It may be $40 dollars in the states but it's around £40 here in the UK. More like $60 dollars. And you need the other 2 expansions too I think.
