That one had some weird Russian name.

Actually it doesn't. Luke called the name out and it was English. I have a feeling there are 2 new auto rifles in the taken king hence why Hard Light and Necrochasm are being left behind.

It's the Ukonvasara. That might not be Russian, but it is definitely not English. Also, the Ukonvasara is basically an AK47 (that's how Luke Smith described it, and we have seen it in-game and it looks like a blue AK47) and the AK47 is a Russian made assault rifle.

Luke smith described it as an ak47. We haven't seen it in game, all we have to go on is Bungie description.

See, I heard that is what the gun is called but if you listen to Luke Smith he calls it something else. I think your right though not appears Luke must have gotten mixed up

Khvostov looks similar to a M4. The auto rifle exotic looks more like an AK-47.
