Good job, you are part of the collective action which makes games worse for the rest of us.
By pre-ordering, you're giving a company more and more money without even playing anything. You basically are putting down $40, telling Bungie, "I don't care what I get", and letting them know you have faith in whatever they release.
Every company is a company, and let's be honest Destiny is a 6/10 game. Bungie is the type of company to abuse your faith in them, make a 6/10 experience for your preorder because at the end of the day it's more profitable to cut content and production costs on a game they've already secured millions of pre-orders on. They don't need to care about how good a DLC is if they've already enough money off pre-orders and day one buys. In fact, it's more profitable to simply release some low quality 6/10 disgrace for $40 as long as there's enough idiots (and this forum is FILLED with em') to pledge money before they even play anything.
Just my 2 cents why you people shouldn't be happy about pre-ordering. When you realize how you own a 6/10 game which had several areas of the game cut out pre-release and some areas you're playin right now had been created by E3 June 2013 then you'll truly see how they abuse your faith in pre-orders and that's why you're actually willing to pay $40 on a single raid, a couple strikes, around 5-10 story missions and a new armor of weapons which many of you already see as backpedaling your hard work. There are more quality of life changes coming to the game, which I agree with and welcome that change... Although most things, even as simple as a quest tab... Should've already been there imho.
Although.. One last note. And this will separate who actually reads the thread.If you read the topic maybe put xoxo at the end of your topic. If you enjoy Destiny, then go ahead and pre-order, hope your faith also invests well and you enjoy the upcoming also. I can't say if you enjoy Destiny then you shouldn't pre-order it, because I guess you should.

I understand that your 6/10 rating is (i would hope) based on personal opinion, however i would probably give destiny as it is a 7-8/10, now, from what we have seen of the new TTK dlc, it does look to be worth the preorder, and based on the way bungie has acted, i would have to disagree that they are "the type of company to abuse your faith in them." Since release bungie has been attentive and careful with the way it handles the game, and with its community, frankly bungie is one of the only game companies who truely seem to want to listen to its fans, and a great many things that we asked for are coming in TTK. All in all i'm glad to have preordered my TTK expansion and i do honestly believe that bungie wants to make up for its mistakes and attempt to give us a 10/10 game if they can. The fact is, the ability to offer a game for pre-order has been abused before, but i would like to think that destinies launch mistakes where just that, mistakes and i don't believe i ever felt the need to complain about pre-ordering a different game from bungie and being let down, i pre-ordered halo 3 after all, and i loved it. 3 seconds after edit: xoxo

I switched consoles so it made sense to pre order and get TDB, HoW and TTK aswell as the bonus packs for the same money. i think they will have to nail it with TTK though, although having said that, they could probably lose half the player base and not have to worry about it for now.

Exactly why I'm not even thinking about purchasing until the games released and I can see what they've done with it. After so many u turns with how the game is layed out to work with gear etc. and the utter mess of crucible I'm happy to wait and see what've they done before I either walk away and pick up something new or go ahead and buy it

What motivation do they have to even include all of the content? Answer: none. If people couldn't spend money on games until they were released (and reviewed), you'd see [i]FAR[/i] less broken and buggy games with a lot more content. But as it is now, the consumers have told the companies how they want to be treated, and that is to say they are happy with whatever they get. Edit: it's amazing how a few crappy Suros weapons make people roll over.

Read the whole thing. I'm not preordering till I know what the new "grind" is, what got taken out or added in. Before I had sort of a commitment because I had the season pass, not anymore. If anything I'll play until I get those last grimoire points and three trophies I'm missing and I'll call it a day.

Xoxo I see your point but still I've put a ton of time into this Frankenstein of a game and its more about the time I spend with my friends that I've made on here and that's all I really care about I welcome more content to keep it interesting if it had everything just like diablo III ud be in and out quick this game isn't that way and seems to be changing I really hope the new expansion turns this experience much better story wise and the additions.. But still I'm like you I understand your point. But as it seems destiny is just my social hang out escape nothing more.. Lol hope they bring more changes..

Elderscrolls major grind might as well play diablo 3 at that point switch to PC and game WOW. Now your paying more money. People buy the dlc because this is there game they rate it 10/10 and have fun playing it they dont play others because they like destiny. You people always say cut content but look at PoE the concept of it was in the archon priests strike. So that was cut content right ? No that was not made originally. Its rated teen for a reason your playing a child's games grow up.

Valid argument, but the problem is one person will not make a difference in Bungies mind. Millions of players will have to not pre order for any change and I dont think that will happen, so I will take what i can get :/ xoxo

1 commentaireDestiny was the first game I ever pre-ordered. I played through the closed and open betas for xbox360 and was impressed enough that I was pleased with my purchase. Bungie had a good track record in my eyes, and it was a refreshing breath from CoD for me. Even Gears had begun to fade into FPS sludge. After realizing how lackluster the campaign was I began suffering from regret, and upon finding that they cut out so much content they could literally found Destiny 2 on it, I felt so betrayed I stopped playing for a while. TDB was something I only played for the raid. HOW is where things got fun for me again. However, TTK is something I will not preorder as Destiny had taught me that no pre order is worth it. Regardless of the rewards, be it a zombie torso in a UK flag bikini, or an energy drink and a few condoms (yes, that's an actual pre order bonus), pre ordering a game is a gamble where the rosk greatly outweighs the reward. Xoxo, since that seems to be important.

Preordering is good for a game company only in the short run. Those companies have only one product they are trying to sell to you. The problem you proposed doesn't apply in destiny because the bungie has to constantly keep their fans appeased. It's a ten year game so Bungie has to plan long term and keep the majority players happy for every dlc. They have to care that there is enough content to keep us playing. For the record, there is no proof that content was cut from destiny vanilla. Only theories exist,no hard proof. -xoxo

Quick question. Why do you think bungie hasn't added micro transactions into the game yet? It would be easy for them to allow you to purchase enteric light or planet materials, but they don't do that. Is it maybe because bungie actually cares about the people playing their game? And paying for a preorder won't affect how what you preordered is. Games tend to fail and be played less and less when buggy dlc is released consistently, or when the dlc is just absolute shit.

Destiny, I loved what I saw in the Alpha and bit I played in the Beta.. But now I'm (on the verge of) having severe buyer's remorse, since I've been disappointed with the lack of story content, (let's be honest, who the ________ thought it was a good idea to put story details on grimore cards? Seriously?!) , and not much of a fan of ToO only because I suck and my friends suck at it too lol albeit understand why , since Raids needed 6 initially to complete, while ToO need 3 good players .. Anyways, I'm just going to ride it out with TTK, since my friends already are planning on getting it, and would be fun to play with them, or at least that's why I still play destiny .. IMO, this is the final straw for DLCs in Destiny, I'm really skeptical, but hoping for the best..
