All around the forums I see
"oooh look at me, I just paid off my TTK preorder! Cheer me on yesss"
Good job, you are part of the collective action which makes games worse for the rest of us.
By pre-ordering, you're giving a company more and more money without even playing anything. You basically are putting down $40, telling Bungie, "I don't care what I get", and letting them know you have faith in whatever they release.
Every company is a company, and let's be honest Destiny is a 6/10 game. Bungie is the type of company to abuse your faith in them, make a 6/10 experience for your preorder because at the end of the day it's more profitable to cut content and production costs on a game they've already secured millions of pre-orders on. They don't need to care about how good a DLC is if they've already enough money off pre-orders and day one buys. In fact, it's more profitable to simply release some low quality 6/10 disgrace for $40 as long as there's enough idiots (and this forum is FILLED with em') to pledge money before they even play anything.
Just my 2 cents why you people shouldn't be happy about pre-ordering. When you realize how you own a 6/10 game which had several areas of the game cut out pre-release and some areas you're playin right now had been created by E3 June 2013 then you'll truly see how they abuse your faith in pre-orders and that's why you're actually willing to pay $40 on a single raid, a couple strikes, around 5-10 story missions and a new armor of weapons which many of you already see as backpedaling your hard work. There are more quality of life changes coming to the game, which I agree with and welcome that change... Although most things, even as simple as a quest tab... Should've already been there imho.
Although.. One last note. And this will separate who actually reads the thread. If you read the topic maybe put xoxo at the end of your topic. If you enjoy Destiny, then go ahead and pre-order, hope your faith also invests well and you enjoy the upcoming also. I can't say if you enjoy Destiny then you shouldn't pre-order it, because I guess you should.

Modifié par ChrisOfTheDead : 9/3/2015 4:55:03 PMIt's fine to feel that way, but just because you're disappointed in a game doesn't mean everyone else is. You give it a 6/10, and I happen to give it a 9/10. I also don't know which happens to be the way the majority of player's feel, but Destiny seems to be doing pretty well for itself. While there are some games that pre-ordering does hurt, Destiny's shortcomings were probably more a result of a situation of conflict between developer and publisher. I could be wrong, but unless they decided to make all development info public, we may never know why content was cut or changed. Much like movies, content gets cut, re-written and changed all the time. Sometime it's from a business negotiation and sometimes it's a problem in development. :( And I did read the whole post.

4 commentaires8 crucible maps cost $30 at market price LOOK AT THE MARKET. we are pay $10 essentially for new exotics, raid, 2 stikes , new subclasses, new guns, new armor, added level cap, and a new potrol area. So lets judt say we are actually getting a pretty good deal. Pre ordering also as many stated before is not direcrly handed to the developer until you get your product so this conspricy theory is absolutely obsurd.

7 commentairesFirst off I don't mean to be an ass here but Destiny has been out for a year now. If your still bitching about "what should have been included in the base game", well it's time to get over it. DLC and expansions are part of AAA gaming nowadays and if you think Bungie is alone in this then your a fool. The vanilla game was no 10 out of 10 for sure. You might even be right with your thought of it being 6/10. However with each expansion they have tried to make improvements and fix issues. The game is also evolving. I have faith that Bungie, more than most developers is listening to its followers. They are becoming more transparent with each release because that's what we want. With TTK just around the corner, there is plenty of information out there that I feel confident in what I'm getting for my money. I think people should spend time and do their own research and make up their own mind. If after all that you don't like what you see then vote with your wallet, but please stop coming to the forums and telling people what to do with their money. Xoxo

I understand being a little jaded and if you feel it's a 6/10 game that's your right. For me it's an 8/10 it's not the game I expected, but with each expansion if feels better. I don't log into Destiny to grind for specific items, I'm not a collector but I do like hoarding what I get. I play because even though I don't always play with the same people I've made some genuine friends along the way, good people that laugh at my jokes. I preordered because I have fun playing with these people, and I like helping newer players. If any part of the game feels like a chore don't do it. Just my two cents xoxo vote with your money. Ps, Know that if a game stinks, it won't make money long term.

1 commentaireI have gotten more than my monies worth out of this game. Even with the additional $40 for The Taken King. This game has kept my attention for a long time. Unlike COD and Battlefield. Definitely worth it for me. JMO

Modifié par Ciscomatic : 9/3/2015 4:02:02 PMDay one player and still playing. I did take a couple of months of a break. One month in between each one of the DLC'S. But I must say I had no need to buy any new games. Did borrow some from friends during the break. But, what I'm getting at is Destiny has filled my gaming experience with pleasure throughout. So for me the price is worth it. Saved money and had full enjoyment. Isn't that what it is all about. Ohh yeah, Xoxo

So many love in this forum post Xoxo~

Pre ordered and looking forward to it, but sry.. No hugs or kisses

Pre-ordered xoxo
-
I preordered because I like the game. And I'd probably end up getting it anyway so I may as well get some guns for free.
-
It all depends on your personal opinion Xoxo
-
All valuable points. This just goes down to "is $40 worth it for me?", and (in my opinion), it is worth it. Again, very good points here, and I've questioned my preorder...it's not like they're gonna run out of digital copies lol but I'm a sucker for content you get specifically for pre-ordering. They know me so well :'( Xoxo
-
I pre-order games I plan on getting and pay them off over time leading to the games release as a budgetary thing. Xoxo
-
I'd rather spend 40 on hours of enjoyment than 60 on a meal from a fancy restaurant. Xoxo

1 commentaireBut the vanguard weapons were soooo useful said no one. Ever.

I agree in some respects. If bungie/Activision were ny business, I would be doing the same. However, I don't feel it is Bungie's doing. If every release was as you described, then there would be no ten year plan. I feel Activision want the coin there and then, and Bungie are doing what they can for the players, in the parameters that are being dealt by Activision. Xoxo
-
I did it, because i feel like this is murika and you, shut your face.
-
I'm going to buy Day 1 regardless and make my own opinions about the DLC, may as well pre-order and get the bonus as well.
-
I preordered because I genuinely enjoy destiny and imo it was worth every cent. But to each their own yaknow? Cheers
-
Idk how you have 13 likes when you clearly don't know how businesses are ran and don't understand how pre-orders work.
-
You do realize that they don't actually get the money until the game releases. The money spent on the preorder is treated like its on a gift card and they take down a reservation. When the game is released and the "gift card" is redeemed, that is when they get the money. Preordering has no effect on game quality
-
I preordered because I have no self-restraint. I'm sorry guys.
-
I'm sorry all I could read was "speculation, speculation, opinion, opinion, speculation." xoxo
-
Xoxo kinda like marriage sometimes you get a good one sometimes not never know till you go for it. Plus if it turns out bad itll cost much less then my marriage did and ill have more fun. Xoxo

6 commentairesOP has over 48 days of gameplay, that's over 1100 hours... OP is therefore an idiot himself, no one spends that amount of time on a 6/10 game
